The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ottawa (Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ottava Büyükelçiliği) is Turkey's diplomatic mission to Canada. It is housed in a sprawling Tudor style manor located at 197 Wurtemberg Street overlooking the Rideau River. The building was built by Fisheries Commissioner William F. Whitcher in about 1869. In 1888, it was expanded and housed the Ottawa Children's Hospital, and remained a hospital until 1908. In 1953, it became home to the Turkish embassy.

The 1985 Turkish embassy attack in Ottawa was the storming and attack that took place on 12 March 1985 by agents of the Armenian Revolutionary Army against the Turkish embassy in Ottawa, Canada.Inside the embassy, the assailants rounded up hostages, including the wife of the Turkish ambassador, his teenage daughter, and embassy staff members—at least 12 people. The attack resulted in a single death, on-duty security officer Claude Brunelle—a 31-year-old student from the University of Ottawa—who shot at the gunmen and was shot in return, being killed instantly.

These areas are sometimes home to buildings that serve as a chancery (the administrative headquarters of a foreign mission) but more often they are ambassadorial residences (where an ambassador or high commissioner lives). Sometimes the same building serves both purposes, but when they are separated the chancery tends to be located in a commercial or government district of the city, while the official residence is in a residential neighbourhood. Numerous foreign embassies and high commissions (some chanceries, some residences, some both) are found in the vicinity of Strathcona Park. Many embassies are located on Range Road, Wilbrod Street, and parts of Laurier Avenue and Charlotte Street.

The Embassy of Russia in Canada is the Russian embassy in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, located at 285 Charlotte Street (also known as Free Ukraine Street), at the eastern terminus of Laurier Avenue, built by W.E. Noffke. To the south it looks out on Strathcona Park while to the east it looks out on the Rideau River. Russia also maintains consulates in Toronto and Montreal.

Australia House in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is the official residence of the Australian High Commissioner to Canada. The house is located on a corner lot at 407 Wilbrod Street in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood of Ottawa, near to a number of other embassies and official residences. The house was built in 1910 by William Davis, and is believed to have been designed by John W.H. Watts. Davis died under inauspicious circumstances in 1916 and it lay vacant for several years before being purchased by Colonel Cameron Macpherson Edwards, who had earlier lived at 24 Sussex Drive. The Edwards left in 1937 and rented the house to Germany to house the Consul General Dr. Erich Windels, who was friendly with Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, who lived nearby. Windels was expelled from Canada upon the declaration of war in September 1939. In part because of the war, the Australian delegation in Ottawa was looking for more spacious accommodations, and the newly vacant building met these needs. In 1940 it became the residence of the High Commissioner and they bought the building from the Edwards soon after. It has housed every High Commissioner since, as well as visiting Australian dignitaries, including any Australian Prime Ministers who visit Ottawa. From 1947 until 1953 the building was home to ex-Prime Minister Frank Forde during his term as Australian High Commissioner. Since December 2021, His Excellency The Right Honourable Scott Ryan is the latest High Commissioner to reside at Australia House.The chancery of the High Commission located at Suite 1301, Sun Life Financial Centre, at 50 O'Connor Street in Downtown Ottawa.

The Embassy of Egypt is Egypt's embassy in Canada. It is located at 454 Laurier Avenue East in Ottawa, Ontario. Ahmed Hafez serves as Ambassador with a staff of diplomats plus locally hired employees. Egypt also operates a significant Consulate-General in Montreal with 14 accredited diplomatic personnel.
