MGM Cotai is a casino resort in Cotai, Macau. Opened on 13 February 2018, it is MGM Resorts International's second property in Macau, China after the MGM Macau. The hotel consists of 1,400 rooms and suites, a 2000-seat MGM Theater, a casino, meeting spaces, and a retail promenade. 5-star spa facilities, retail stores, restaurants, and the awarded Emerald Tower, Emerald Villa, and Skylofts. It also features the world's largest art garden, Nature's Art, which houses over 100,000 plants and more than 2,000 plant species, including several previously extinct species.The hotel was featured in Series 3 on the BBC television series Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby.

Wynn Palace (Chinese: 永利皇宮, Portuguese: Palácio Wynn) is the second luxury integrated resort from international resort developer Wynn Resorts in the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, following the launch of Wynn Macau. Located in Cotai, it features a 28-story hotel with 1,706 rooms, suites and villas, meeting facilities, over 106,000 square feet (9,800 m2) of luxury retail, 13 casual and fine dining restaurants, Macau's largest spa, a salon, a pool and approximately 424,000 square feet (39,400 m2) of casino space. The resort also features a variety of entertainment experiences, including the 8-acre Performance Lake with a choreographed display of water, music and light, the unique SkyCab, spectacular, large-scale floral displays by renowned designer Preston Bailey and an extensive collection of art works by some of the world's leading artists.Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Palace is the first and only resort in the world with more than one thousand rooms to receive Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards. As of 2020, Wynn Palace now has more Forbes Five-Star restaurants than any other individual resort in the world, including Sichuan Moon which holds the distinction as "Restaurant of the Year." Wynn Palace opened on August 22, 2016.

City of Dreams (Chinese: 新濠天地, Portuguese: Cidade dos Sonhos) is a casino resort in Cotai, Macau, SAR of People's Republic of China. Built, owned and managed by Melco Resorts & Entertainment, the resort, also known as CoD or CoD Macau, opened on 1 June 2009. Described as a "mega-casino" by The Guardian, in 2020 City of Dreams was the third-largest casino in the world. In total the property comprises three separate casinos, four hotels, five hotel towers, around 2,270 total hotel rooms, around 30 restaurants and bars, and 175,000 square feet (16,300 m2) of retail space.

The Parisian Macao (Chinese: 澳門巴黎人) is a casino resort on the Cotai Strip in Cotai, Macau, China owned by Las Vegas Sands, which features a half-scale Eiffel Tower as one its landmarks. It was originally expected to be operational in late 2015, with that later changed to August 2016. The hotel officially opened on 13 September 2016.

Seac Pai Van is an area in Macau, located south of the Cotai Strip and on the northeastern parts of Coloane. Originally a bay that separated Coloane from Taipa, from the late 2000s it was reclaimed from the sea as a part of the combined island of Cotai, mostly to be turned into public housing.

Cotai (Chinese: 路氹城; Cantonese Yale: Louhtáhm Sìhng; Portuguese: Cotai) is a 5.2-square-kilometer (2.0 sq mi) piece of reclaimed land on the top of the Seac Pai Bay between Taipa and Coloane islands in Macau that has connected two independent islands since 2005. The name, which is a portmanteau of Coloane and Taipa, can also refer to the island formed by the reclaimation. In the second sense, the Special Administrative Region of Macau now consists of the Macau Peninsula, plus Cotai Island, about a mile to the south.Cotai was created to provide Macau with a new gambling and tourism area, since Macau is so densely populated and land is scarce. Many hotels and casinos can now be found on the island. In 2006, a new hospital was founded in the Cotai area, the MUST Hospital, which is associated with the Macau University of Science and Technology Foundation.

Zaia was a Cirque du Soleil stage production based at The Venetian Macao on the Cotai Strip in Macau. The 90-minute show opened in August 2008, bringing together 75 high-calibre artists from around the world. Zaia was Cirque du Soleil's first resident show in Asia and was directed by Neilson Vignola and Gilles Maheu. The custom-built theater housing the performance was capable of seating 1,800 spectators at a time.Zaia presented a young girl's dream of journeying into space, discovering worlds populated by a panoply of otherworldly creatures. The title, Zaia, came from a Greek name meaning "life".Due in part to the global financial crisis at the end of 2008 that contributed to low attendance, the show closed on 19 February 2012. Despite its closing, Venetian Macao resort owner Las Vegas Sands Corp. claimed, "Using Las Vegas as a benchmark, Zaia’s 3 1/2-year run should be deemed successful and provide strong support for the argument that the future of entertainment in Macau is on the right track."

The Venetian Macao (Chinese: 澳門威尼斯人, Portuguese: Macau Veneziano) is a hotel and casino resort in Macau, China owned by the American Las Vegas Sands company. The 39-story structure on Macau's Cotai Strip has 10,500,000-square-foot (980,000 m2) of floor space, and is modeled on its sister casino resort The Venetian Las Vegas. It is the second-largest casino in the world, the largest single structure hotel in Asia, and the tenth-largest building in the world by floor area. The main hotel tower was finished in July 2007, and the resort officially opened on 28 August 2007. It has 3,000 suites, 1,200,000 sq ft (110,000 m2) of convention space, 1,600,000 sq ft (150,000 m2) of retail space, and 550,000 square feet (51,000 m2) of casino space (with 3,400 slot machines, 800 gambling tables), and the 15,000-seat Cotai Arena for entertainment and sports events. Its lead architects were Aedas and HKS, Inc., who were responsible for its design, coordination and implementation.

The Cotai Strip is the central area of Cotai, mostly known for its cluster of resort hotels and casinos. The term was first coined by Las Vegas Sands Corporation regarding its building of a strip of hotel-casinos in the Cotai section of Macau. Cotai was the result of a major land reclamation project which joined the two islands of Coloane and Taipa and forms part of the Macau government's continuous efforts to expand the region's territory. The reclaimed land in Cotai was mainly used for casino developments and Las Vegas Sands Corporation envisioned that their development of several adjacent properties would comprise an area that would resemble the Las Vegas Strip, albeit on a considerably smaller scale.Over the past few decades, the layout of the Cotai Strip has also slowly developed into a grid-like layout with major hotels and casinos such as Galaxy Macau, MGM Cotai, and Wynn Palace, not directly connected to the 'strip' as opposed to Las Vegas Strip where the majority of major hotels and casinos have front access to the strip.

The International School of Macao (Portuguese: Escola Internacional de Macau; Chinese: 澳門國際學校), is an international school in Taipa, Macao next to the Macau International Airport. It occupies blocks K and Q of the Macau University of Science and Technology. It is accredited by Alberta, Canada.In 2021 it was the largest English medium school in Macau.

The Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST, Chinese: 澳門科技大學; Portuguese: Universidade de Ciência e Tecnologia de Macau) is a private university founded in 2000 at Taipa, Macau, China. The university has acknowledged by Macau Education and Youth Development Bureau. It offers courses instructed in English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish. As of September 2023, there are more than 21,000 students studying at the university, including approximately 8,500 master and doctoral students and 13,000 undergraduate students. The Ministry of Science and Technology of China approved the university's application to use the names the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines and the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences for its two laboratories. The university is ranked 250–300 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020
