Ritter Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 68 contributing buildings and 5 contributing structures, including the Ritter Park municipal park. The city purchased the park property in 1908. Dwellings in the district represent the finest styles in popular architecture from the years 1913 to 1940, including Colonial Revival, Bungalow/craftsman, and Tudor Revival. Notable buildings include the Ritter Park Apartments (1932), Weingartner House (c. 1923), Cammack House (1923), Marshall University President's House (1923), and Park Terrace Apartments (c. 1939–1940).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Huntington Museum of Art is a nationally accredited art museum located in the Park Hills neighborhood above Ritter Park in Huntington, West Virginia. Housed on over 50 acres of land and occupying almost 60,000 square feet, it is the largest art museum in the state of West Virginia. The museum's campus is home to nature trails and the C. Fred Edwards Conservatory, a subtropical and tropical plant conservatory. The museum's collection includes American and European paintings, sculptures, prints, and drawings, as well as glass pieces manufactured in West Virginia and the Ohio Valley, American folk art, Chinese and Japanese decorative objects, Haitian art, firearms, and decorative arts from the Near East. In addition to its permanent collections, the museum hosts traveling exhibitions and houses the James D. Francis Art Research Library, the Grace Rardin Doherty Auditorium, and five art studios where artists in residence are periodically hosted and classes are held. The Huntington Museum of Art holds one of the largest collections of art in the state of West Virginia.

The Pink Bridge of Huntington, West Virginia is a concrete arch bridge spanning Four Pole Creek at 8th Street that was painted pink during late October to mid November 2006 to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Mortimer Place Historic District is a national historic district located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 21 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure. The district is composed entirely of early 20th century residences, the majority of which are Colonial Revival and Tudor Revivalstyle. They were built between about 1915 and 1930, and feature sloping roofs, parapet walls, and wooden brackets and moldings. The residential development was designed and built by architect Richard Mortimer Bates, Jr. The Mortimer Place Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Kenwood, also known as the John A. Sheppard House, is a historic home located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It was designed by the prominent West Virginia architect, H. Rus Warne, and built about 1910, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, rectangular, side gable house with flanking one-story, enclosed wings with flat roofs covered in green clay tile. The house measures approximately 100 feet long and 64 feet deep. It features an entrance portico with two story Tuscan order columns. The house is in the Classical Revival style with Greek Revival details. Also on the property is a contributing garage.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Hawthorne Historic District is a national historic district located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 24 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure (stone retaining walls) in the Park Hills Subdivision No. 1. The district is composed entirely of early 20th century residences, the majority of which are Colonial Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Fairfield Stadium was a stadium in Huntington, West Virginia. It was primarily used for football, and was the home field of the Marshall University football team between 1928 and 1990, prior to the opening of Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

Ohev Sholom Temple, now known as B'Nai Sholom Congregation, is a historic synagogue located at 949 10th Avenue, in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, in the United States. Designed by the Charleston architectural firm of Meanor and Handloser, it was built in 1925 for Congregation Ohev Shalom, which had been formed in 1887. In 1978 B'Nai Sholom Congregation was formed by the merger of Ohev Shalom and B’nai Israel, an Orthodox synagogue which had been formed in 1910. On March 17, 1994, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places. B'Nai Sholom continues today as an active congregation affiliated with both the Reform and Conservative streams of Judaism.

The Marshall University Forensic Science Center, located in Huntington, West Virginia, houses a two-year graduate program in forensic science and the state of West Virginia's Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) laboratory facility.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is a regional, 303-bed academic medical center located in Huntington, West Virginia. Cabell Huntington cares for patients from more than 29 counties in West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and southern Ohio. It is one of the ten largest general hospitals in West Virginia. Opened in 1956, it is also a teaching hospital and is affiliated with the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Pharmacy. The hospital is also home to the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, a three-story facility that opened in 2006. In 2005, the hospital announced a major expansion with the planned construction of a 187,500 square-foot, five-story facility. Construction of the $85 million "North Patient Tower" was completed in 2007. This project doubled the size of its Emergency/Level II Trauma Department, increased private rooms from 47% to approximately 90% and increased the number of staffed beds from 268 to 303. The tower houses a 36-bed NICU, the Oncology Unit, the adult acute care units (Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care, Burn Intensive Care and Cardiac Intensive Care), Labor & Delivery, and the Surgical Nursing Unit. Patient rooms in the North Patient Tower have a window and private bathroom. The rooms are larger and the facility has space for family and friends. In May 2012, ground was broken for construction of the Hoops Family Children's Hospital located on the fifth floor of Cabell-Huntington Hospital, described as a hospital within a hospital. It adds 72 beds, including a 36-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 26-bed General Pediatrics Unit and a 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. A large portion of the $12 million was donated by the Hoops Family Foundation. In August 2014, Cabell-Huntington Hospital announced the acquisition of St. Mary's Medical Center, which is the other major hospital in the city of Huntington. The acquisition would give Mountain Health Network, the two facilities parent organization, a combined 700+ beds, making them the second largest hospital system in West Virginia.

The Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine is the medical school at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. It is one of three medical schools in the state of West Virginia.

Prichard House is a historic home located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It was built between 1921 and 1923, and is an Italian Renaissance-style residence. The house is built of gray North Carolina granite, topped by a Spanish tile roof, and sits on a reinforced concrete foundation. It features a distinctive two story tower and two roof garden chimneys. At the entrance to the property is the original wrought iron fence supported by granite pillars and iron gates. Also on the property are complementary and contributing guesthouse / garage and chicken house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
