Millenia Tower

Centennial Tower is a 158 m (518 ft), 37 storey high-rise office skyscraper in the central business district of Singapore. It is located on 3 Temasek Avenue, in the zone of Marina Centre. The building is nearby other skyscrapers such as Millenia Tower, and Suntec City.The building won the Building and Construction Authority's Best Buildable Design Award in the Commercial & Office Buildings category in 1999. The tower was built at a total cost of USD$149 Million. It has a gross floor area of 66,270 square metres.Centennial Tower's anchor tenant is Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

Promenade MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the Downtown (DTL) and Circle (CCL) lines in Downtown Core, Singapore. Located underneath Temasek Avenue and adjacent to Millenia Tower, the station is close to several key attractions and locations such as Suntec City and the Marina Promenade, which the station is named after. The station is at the junction of the Dhoby Ghaut and Marina Bay branches of the CCL. The station was first announced as Milennia MRT station in 1999 and was part of the Marina Line, which later became CCL Stage 1. It was later announced in 2005 that the CCL would branch off to serve Chinatown, which eventually became DTL Stage 1 in 2007. The station opened on 17 April 2010 as part of the Circle line Stages 1 and 2. On 14 January 2012, the CCL branches out from this station to Marina Bay via Bayfront station. The Downtown line platforms opened on 22 December 2013 as part of Downtown line Stage 1. The DTL station is the second deepest station in the entire MRT network at 42 metres (138 ft), behind Bencoolen station at 43 metres (141 ft).

The Benjamin Sheares Bridge (Chinese: 薛尔思桥; pinyin: Xūeěrsī Qíao; Malay: Jambatan Benjamin Sheares; Tamil: பென்ஜமின் ஷியர்ஸ் பாலம்) is the longest bridge in Singapore, spanning 1.8 km, and the tallest, at 29 metres (95 ft). It is named after Benjamin Sheares, the second President of Singapore, who died four months before the bridge was opened to the public on 26 September 1981. The bridge is part of the East Coast Parkway (ECP), at the western end of the expressway. The cost of construction was S$110 million.The Benjamin Sheares Bridge crosses over the Marina Reservoir, along the southern coast of mainland Singapore. It passes through the planning areas of Kallang, Marina East, Marina South and Downtown Core. Built over reclaimed land by construction company Sato Kogyo, the bridge is made of pre-stressed concrete and links East Coast Parkway on the east coast to Marina Bay on the west coast. Benjamin Sheares Bridge is the setting for the annual SAFRA Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon (formerly the Sheares Bridge Run). It is also pictured on the rear panel of the Ship Series S$50 banknote.

Conrad Centennial Singapore (Chinese：康莱德酒店) is a hotel located in the Downtown Core (near Millenia Tower), Marina Centre, Singapore. The hotel has 512 guest rooms including 25 suites, and 31 floors with two basements. The hotel's carpark is shared with Millenia Walk. Conrad Centennial shares the same laundry services with sister hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore. Both hotels are owned by the same owner, Pontiac Land (owned by the Kwee brothers).

Pan Pacific Singapore is a hotel located in Marina Centre, Singapore, and operated by the Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. With 38 floors, it is the tallest among the three hotels which are part of the Marina Square development, the other two being the Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay and Mandarin Oriental Singapore. The hotel has 790 rooms and suites, arranged around an atrium extending 35 floors of the building. The hotel was renovated in 2005 and again in 2012 and it features a lounge in the atrium.

Millenia Singapore is an integrated landmark development of Pontiac Land Group, nested in the Downtown Core of Singapore. It sits on land reclaimed in the 1970s from Marina Bay with five buildings designed by award-winning architects Kevin Roche, Thom Mayne, Philip Johnson and John Burgee. Before the 1970s, the area was open water used by sea vessels for anchorage with the Queen Elizabeth Walk along what is now the western end of this area. Part of the Singapore Grand Prix runs through the entire part of Millenia Singapore.

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (Chinese: 新加坡丽思卡尔顿美年酒店) is a 32 floor luxury hotel located at Millenia Singapore, Marina Centre, Singapore. The hotel is run by The Ritz-Carlton group of hotels, and it has won several awards. The hotel was opened in 1996, developed and owned by the Kwee brothers' company Pontiac Land.

The Fountain of Wealth (Malay: Air Pancut Kekayaan, Chinese: 财富之泉) is listed by the Guinness Book of Records in 1998 as the largest fountain in the world. It is located in one of Singapore's largest shopping malls, Suntec City. During certain periods of the day, the fountain is turned off and visitors are invited to walk around a mini fountain at the centre of the fountain's base, three times for good luck. At night, the fountain is the setting for laser performances, as well as live song and laser message dedications between 8 pm to 9 pm daily. It is situated in such a way the fountain is the hub of the shopping mall.

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is a luxury hotel located in Marina Centre next to Marina Square Shopping Mall and near Suntec City, home to one of Asia Pacific's largest convention centres – the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, and the city's financial district. The hotel includes 527 rooms and suites, 6 restaurants and bars, and the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.

Suntec City is a major mixed-use development located in Marina Centre, a subzone of the Downtown Core in Singapore, which combines a shopping mall, office buildings, and a convention centre. Construction began on 18 January 1992 (with earthworks) followed by full completion and opening on 22 July 1997.

Marina Square is a shopping mall in Singapore which opened in the late 1980s. It is part of the first building complex built on the reclaimed land at Marina Centre, and was the largest shopping mall in the country at the time. The complex also houses three hotels, which are the Mandarin Oriental, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay and The Pan Pacific Singapore.

The 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, formally known as the 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, was a Formula One race held on 28 September 2008 at 20:00 SST at the newly built Marina Bay Street Circuit in Marina Bay, Singapore. It was the 15th race of the 2008 Formula One World Championship, the 800th Formula One World Championship race overall, and the first ever Formula One race held at night. This was also the first time Singapore hosted a Formula One race, as the last Singapore Grand Prix was a Formula Libre event in 1973. The 61-lap race was won by Fernando Alonso for the Renault team from 15th on the grid after his teammate deliberately crashed on lap 14 to bring out the safety car after his first pit stop. Nico Rosberg claimed second in his Williams followed by McLaren's Lewis Hamilton. Felipe Massa of Ferrari started from pole position. Drivers' Championship leader Hamilton was second while reigning world champion Kimi Räikkönen qualified third. They continued in this order until Renault's Nelson Piquet Jr. deliberately crashed on lap 14, bringing out the safety car as planned after Alonso's pit stop. The leading drivers all pitted when the pit lane was opened. Massa prematurely left the pit box with his fuel hose still attached and dropped to last place. Alonso, who had pitted before the safety car was deployed, subsequently took the lead and won the race. Nico Rosberg managed to finish second despite incurring a stop-go penalty and Hamilton completed the podium in third. Red Bull Racing's David Coulthard finished 7th, scoring the final points of his career. Kazuki Nakajima also scored his final points. The result saw Hamilton extend his lead in the Driver's standings to 7 points over Massa, who failed to score. McLaren also took over the lead in the Constructors' Championship by one point from Ferrari. In September 2009, Renault F1 admitted to an FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting that Piquet had deliberately crashed per instructions from Renault team principal Flavio Briatore and chief engineer Pat Symonds in the hope of helping Alonso win. The Renault team were handed a disqualification from Formula One, which was suspended for two years pending any further rule infringements. Briatore was banned from all FIA-sanctioned events for life, while Symonds was banned for five years. Briatore and Symonds sued the FIA in French courts; on 5 January 2010, the Tribunal de Grande Instance overturned the ban which had been put in place on both men.
