Skinner Butte (often mistakenly called Skinner's Butte) is a prominent hill on the north edge of downtown Eugene, Oregon, near the Willamette River. A local landmark, it honors city founder Eugene Skinner and is the site of the municipal Skinner Butte Park. For many years, it contained a controversial cross—war memorial, religious symbol, or Ku Klux Klan symbol, depending on who one believes. The letters were removed and replaced with the letter "O" in the late 1920s. The cross was replaced several times, but wasn't permanently removed until 1997. One of the objections to the cross was its perceived association with Ku Klux Klan (Eugene grew to be a recognized national stronghold for the KKK through the 1950s.)

The Shelton McMurphey Johnson House, or Castle on the Hill, in Eugene, Oregon, United States, is a Victorian-era residence that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is named for the three families who called it home over the years. The house is now open for public tours and pre-arranged private events.

Eugene station (alternately Eugene–Springfield station) is a train station in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It is served by Amtrak's Coast Starlight passenger train and is the southern terminus of the Amtrak Cascades corridor. The station is also served by the Cascades POINT bus service.

Ya-Po-Ah Terrace (nickname The High Place), is the tallest building in Eugene, Oregon at 212 feet (65 m). It is a controversial high-rise apartment building for senior citizens erected in 1968 at the foot of Skinner Butte.

The Oregon Electric Railway Passenger Station is a historic railroad station in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was built in 1914 as a station for the Oregon Electric Railway and was designed by A. E. Doyle. Passenger service by the Oregon Electric Railway was discontinued in 1933, and the station was used as an office and for storage.Slate Tractor opened an Allis-Chalmers dealership in Eugene on October 22, 1937 with a temporary location on 7th Avenue, moving to the Oregon Electric Station building February 3, 1938. Shortly thereafter, on July 15, 1938, Edward C. (E.C.) Papé purchased the dealership, starting what is now known as The Papé Group, Inc. E.C. operated his dealership at the station for 4 years before relocating the business to a location on West 1st Street.In 1961, the station became a branch of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), the Southwest Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (SWOMSI). After breaking with OMSI in 1978, the Willamette Science and Technology Center (WISTEC) sold the station and gave the proceeds to Lane County to build a children's museum in Alton Baker Park. SWOMSI's displays included train cars adjacent to the building. The train cars became part of the dining facilities for later restaurants located in the station.Work began to convert the station into a restaurant in 1977. The first restaurant in the space was called "Andy's Eugene Station".The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as the Oregon Electric Railway Passenger Station, in 1979.The Oregon Electric Station restaurant operated in the station until permanently closing in 2020. As of 2021, the Lane County History Museum was looking at moving from its original location next to the Lane County Fairgrounds to the railway station.

The Lane Hotel, also known as the Lane Building, is a historic former hotel building in Eugene, Oregon, United States.The hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, under its then-current name Palace Hotel.Opened as the Gross Hotel, and later named Griggs and Palace, the building was used as a hotel until 1978. It was known as the Lane Hotel for 50 years. Today the building houses a variety of offices and small businesses.

The main United States Post Office in Eugene, Oregon, is a 2-story Art Deco building designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood and constructed in 1939. The front facade features blue and cream colored terracotta with black and buff colored accents, and pilasters separate multicolored window bays. The building is the only example of federal Art Deco architecture in Lane County, and it is the only federal building in Oregon to use multicolored terracotta. Murals painted by Carl Morris were installed in the lobby in 1943. The post office was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The corner at 5th and Willamette Streets contains three sites listed on the register.

The McCracken Brothers Motor Freight Building, located in Eugene, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Hult Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts venue in Eugene, Oregon. The Hult Center is located downtown on Willamette Street between 6th & 7th Avenues, adjacent to the Graduate Eugene (previously Hilton Eugene) and Conference Center. Built using funds that were approved by voters in 1978, the Hult Center and the Hilton were completed in 1982 as part of the same urban renewal project. The Hult Center is operated by the City of Eugene and is one of two performing arts venues owned by the City. Cuthbert Amphitheater, located in Eugene's Alton Baker Park, is also owned by the City and is operated by Kesey Enterprises. Twenty-seven architectural firms competed for the opportunity to design the center, but in the end, the Eugene City Council awarded the contract to the New York firm of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates. The firm had previously designed the $7.5-million, 2,700-seat Minneapolis Orchestra Hall and the $13-million Boettcher Concert Hall at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
