Lee–Throckmorton–McDonald House

The Thomas Brown House in Inwood, West Virginia, was built about 1741 as a log cabin for Thomas Brown, a Quaker farmer. Brown was one of the first to grow fruit in an area where orchardry would become a major agricultural industry. The house is the oldest known dwelling in Berkeley County. Brown had assembled 1,200 acres (490 ha) in the area of Mill Creek, and left the log house and 60 acres (24 ha) to his wife Ruth on his death in 1750. A later resident on the property was Ellis Rees, who lived there from 1790 to 1820. The log house became a tenant house for 100 years, but was renovated beginning in 1983. The house is built of large logs, 16 or 17 inches wide and hewn on two sides. The 1-1/2-story structure measures about 23 feet (7.0 m) by 29 feet (8.8 m) in the original block, a log west wing about 16 feet (4.9 m) by 21 feet (6.4 m), and a frame east wing about 16 feet (4.9 m) by 20 feet (6.1 m). The central block has two large stone chimneys. The logs are clad with weatherboards. The central block has two rooms downstairs. The wings are a single room downstairs and upstairs. The front and read elevations feature gun ports cut into the logs, high in the walls.Also on the property are a log meat house, a stone springhouse and a frame privy. The house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Thunder Hill Farm, also known as the Daniel-Grantham House, is a historic home located near Inwood, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It is a two-story, Federal style stone and log dwelling in two sections with a gable roof. The south section is three bays wide and built of stone in 1818. The north section was added about 1882 and is built of logs, sided with German siding. Also on the property is a wood frame barn with clapboard siding built in 1882.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Union Bryarly's Mill is a historic flour and grist mill complex and national historic district located at Darkesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia, USA. It encompasses four contributing buildings and two contributing sites. The buildings are the Bryarly Mill, Mansion House, a log smokehouse and combination ice house building, the log miller's house (1751), the site of a distillery and foundation containing archaeological remains. The mill was built about 1835 and is a two-story, three-bay brick building with a gable roof. The Mansion House was built about 1835 and is a two-story, L-shaped frame dwelling on a stone foundation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Arden is an unincorporated community located between Martinsburg and Inwood in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. Arden was named in 1775 by the Quaker Jacob Moon after the district of Arden in Warwickshire, England. It is the location of a number of historic sites including the Arden United Methodist Church, Trinity Church, and Ar-Qua Springs, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Redbud Hollow consists of two historic homes located at Union Corner near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. They are two log buildings built about 1750. Each building has a massive stone chimney.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Campbellton is a house near Gerrardstown, West Virginia built circa 1800 by James Campbell. Campbell, who was born in Ireland in 1744, arrived in America with his father in 1753, settling in Berkeley County, West Virginia in 1762. Campbell built a store on the property in 1780, along with a complex of accessory buildings, before building the main house. The main house is a two-story structure of coursed rubble limestone. The two-story house is five bays wide. A rear kitchen ell was demolished due to deterioration, but was reconstructed in 1975 in a manner sympathetic to the main house. in 1975. The main block is a center-hall plan, with two rooms to each side of the stair hall. Outbuildings include the store, which retains its original shelving. An 1802 barn completes the ensemble.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Hays-Pitzer House is a historic home located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It is a two-story, five-bay, Federal-style log and stone dwelling. The log section of the house was built in 1775 and the stone section was built about 1800.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Inwood is a census-designated place (CDP) in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States, located south of Martinsburg in the lower Shenandoah Valley. The population was 2,954 at the 2010 census. It is located on U.S. Route 11.

Ar-Qua Springs, also known as the Thomas Thornbrough House or the Thomas Thornburgh House was built beginning about 1751 near Arden, West Virginia. The house was built by local Quaker elder Thomas Thornbrough, beginning as a one-room, 1½ story limestone rubble house that was quickly expanded with log additions. The house may have been used as a Quaker meeting house during the 18th century. The house in its present state is two stories in five bays with sections of stone and log. A gambrel roof was added to create additional living space on the second floor. The house has been largely unaltered, apart from the 1960s removal of an attached washhouse and fireplace. The original stone section comprises a single room on the lower level with a fireplace, and two rooms on the upper level. The log section contains on its lower level a dining room, den, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Its upper level contains two bedrooms, a bathroom and a family room. The house pictured is not the actual house.The property includes a two-level stone springhouse. Ar-Qua Springs was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Tabler Station is an unincorporated community in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It lies on County Route 32, south of Martinsburg off U.S. Route 11 near Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport. The community most likely was named after the local Tabler family. The Tabler's Station Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Musselman High School is a class AAA high school in Inwood, West Virginia, United States. Inwood is in Berkeley County and just outside the city of Martinsburg, the largest city in the Eastern Panhandle. Musselman High School was established in 1949. Musselman High School was named for the C.H. Musselman Company, an apple processing plant and maker of Musselman's Applesauce. The mascot is the Applemen, a Red Delicious apple with large, muscular arms and legs and an aggressive facial expression. A new school building was built for the Musselman community in 1998 to replace the aging original structure and to better serve a rapidly increasing population.
