Priscilla Strode Turner House is a historic home located at Beddington, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built about 1850 and is a two-story, five-bay, brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It has an L-shaped plan and is topped by a gable roof. Also on the property is a stone spring house, also dated to about 1850. Angeline Turner, a daughter of Ehud and Priscilla Strode Turner, married Lincoln associate Ward Hill Lamon (1828 - 1893) in 1850.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The complex consists of a two-story stone dwelling, stone kitchen, and stone barn and corn crib. They were built after Peter Light purchased the property in 1770. Also on the property are a log house built before 1770, and the stone Bedinger Mill. The mill building was built about 1816.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Bedington is an unincorporated community on Hoke Run, near its confluence with Opequon Creek, in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It is located east of Hainesville on County Route 5. According to the Geographic Names Information System, Bedington has also been known as Beddington, Bedenton, and The Lick. The community derives its name from Colonel Bedinger, an early settler.

Spring Mills High School is the fourth high school in the Berkeley County, West Virginia school system, which opened in fall of 2013. On opening, the student body was formed from about one-half of the student body of each of Martinsburg High School and Hedgesville High School, which had become overcrowded. The current principal is Mark Salfia. The school was officially dedicated by officials including West Virginia governor Earl Ray Tomblin on August 7, 2013.

It was built after 1810, and has a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay wide, brick main section with a brick wing. The house is in a transitional Georgian / Federal-style. Also on the property is a 19th-century log outbuilding. As of January 11, 2023 the historic home and surrounding acreage returned to the ownership of the Folk family when former West Virginia State Delegate Michael Folk and his wife, Stella, purchased the 5 bedroom 4 bath home on the remaining 60+- acres.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. It is located in the Swan Pond Manor Historic District.

Swan Pond Manor Historic District is a national historic district located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, U.S.A. It encompasses 21 contributing buildings, one site, and one structure, over 2,465 acres. The agricultural district boundaries reflect the Swan Pond Manor land of Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron, which he set aside in 1747 as a part of his Northern Neck Territory for his personal use. Notable buildings include the Capt. James Mason House, Kroh-Sprinkle House (1819), Jacob A. Small House, Robert Carter Willis House, Dr. Williams House (a Greek Revival style house built c. 1840), "Hollidale," and "Wood Haven" (1895), Raleigh Morgan House. Also located in the district is the separately listed Swan Pond.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Battle of Hoke's Run, also known as the Battle of Falling Waters or Battle of Hainesville, took place on July 2, 1861, in Berkeley County, Virginia (now West Virginia) as part of the Manassas campaign of the American Civil War. Notable as an early engagement of Confederate Colonel Thomas J. Jackson and his Brigade of Virginia Volunteers, nineteen days before their famous nickname would originate, this brief skirmish was hailed by both sides as a stern lesson to the other. Acting precisely upon the orders of a superior officer about how to operate in the face of superior numbers, Jackson's forces resisted General Robert Patterson's Union forces briefly and then slowly retreated over several miles.
