Middle River is an estuary in Baltimore County, Maryland, located about 5 miles (8 km) east of the city of Baltimore. The estuary extends from the community of Middle River, north of the Martin Plaza Shopping Center, to the southeast for about 4 miles (6.4 km), to the Chesapeake Bay. The watershed area of Middle River is 12 square miles (31 km2), and includes Martin State Airport.

Turkey Point Park is located in Essex, Maryland, United States, an eastern suburb of Baltimore. The park sits on roughly 32 acres (13 hectares) on the scenic Turkey Point Peninsula in Baltimore County. It has no relation with Turkey Point, Ontario, Canada. The park was an inspiration for the Turkey Point used by greasers (Drapes) in the 1990 movie Cry-Baby. Turkey Point Park is less than 2 acres (8,100 m2) in size and is surrounded by water. There are no walking trails through the woods and no toilets or any other facilities. It is locked at dusk due to safety concerns. ATV or vehicle use within the confines of the park is prohibited. Due to neighbors using the park, all dogs must be kept on a leash.

Martin State Airport (IATA: MTN, ICAO: KMTN, FAA LID: MTN) is a joint civil-military public use airport located nine nautical miles (10 mi, 17 km) east of the central business district of Baltimore, in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The facility is located within the census-designated place of Middle River on Maryland State Highway 150 (Eastern Boulevard), near the intersection of Maryland State Highway 700 (Martin Boulevard). The Maryland Aviation Administration operates the airport on behalf of the Maryland Department of Transportation. MTN is a general aviation relief airport.

Bowleys Quarters is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States, with a population of 6,755 at the 2010 census.

The Cedar Point Light was the last house-type lighthouse built in the Chesapeake Bay. An early victim of shoreline erosion, the cupola and gables are preserved at museums. This light should not be confused with Upper Cedar Point Light or Lower Cedar Point Light, both of which stood in the Potomac River. The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum is located at Martin State Airport in Middle River, Maryland. It educates visitors through the use of exhibits, artifacts, archival materials and stories about aviation in Maryland over the last hundred years, with an emphasis on the Glenn L. Martin Company and the more recent Lockheed Martin histories.The aircraft currently on display are on loan from the Navy and Army, with the exception of the Martin 4-0-4, which was donated to the museum in 1999. The museum also hosts periodic open cockpit days featuring three or four selected aircraft. The history of the Martin Corporation is told with displays of models, films, photographs and documents from the museum's large archive. There is a research library, through which this archive can be examined on appointment. The museum relies on volunteers who run the museum and assist the visitors with admissions, store purchases, and tours. They also help with visiting school groups, other educational projects and aircraft restorations.

The Nellie L. Byrd is a Chesapeake Bay skipjack, built in 1911 at Oriole, Maryland. She is a 53.6' long two-sail bateau, or "V"-bottomed deadrise type of centerboard sloop. She has a beam of 26.7', a depth of 4.8', and a net tonnage of 18 tons. She is one of the 35 surviving traditional Chesapeake Bay skipjacks and a member of the last commercial sailing fleet in the United States. When listed, she was located at Tilghman, Talbot County, Maryland. Since 2005, she is located at Middle River, Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland.She was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and received a Save America's Treasures grant in 2006. She is assigned Maryland dredge number 28.

Bengies Drive-In is a drive-in theater in Middle River, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore, with the largest movie screen remaining in the United States.

Glenn L. Martin Company Plant No. 2 is a historic airplane factory located at Middle River, Baltimore County, Maryland. The plant was built between 1940 and 1942, and is a large manufacturing complex designed by noted architect Albert Kahn and built by the Glenn L. Martin Company in the Art Moderne Industrial style. The complex includes 10 contributing resources related to its role in World War II as the primary production facility for the Martin B-26 Marauder bomber from late 1941 to 1945. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

Carroll Crest is an unincorporated community located in Middle River, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. This community contains 233 houses secluded in a wooded area and was developed in two phases during the 1980s by Security Management. One of the roads leading into the community is Keeners Road. For years prior to the development of the community, it was known as Ghost Road and had been the supposed site of several supernatural occurrences. District 6 is the current legislative apportionment that includes Carroll Crest. Seneca Elementary and Chase Elementary are the local schools.

Martin State Airport station is a passenger rail station on the Northeast Corridor serving Martin State Airport in the unincorporated community of Middle River, Maryland. It is located in between the Aberdeen and Baltimore stations. It is served by the MARC Penn Line; Amtrak trains pass through the station without stopping. The station has three sections of wooden platform adjacent to the southern track of the four-track Northeast Corridor. The wooden decks extend across the tracks to allow passengers access to all tracks. The station is not accessible.MARC Penn Line service was extended to Perryville on May 1, 1991, with intermediate stops at Aberdeen, Edgewood, and Martin State Airport.
