The province of Viterbo (Italian: provincia di Viterbo) is a province in the Lazio region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Viterbo.

Santa Maria della Peste is a small, Renaissance-style, octagonal temple-chapel (tempietto) located on Piazza del Caduti in Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. It has now been converted into a chapel dedicated to those fallen (caduti) in the wars of the 20th century. Across the piazza and Via Filippo Ascenzi is the church of San Giovanni Battista degli Almadiani.

Santa Maria della Salute is a small Gothic-style, deconsecrated Roman Catholic church located on Via della Pescheria in Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. Today the church is often used as an exhibition hall and for cultural events.

The Palazzo del Podesta, also known as Palazzo del Governatore, is a 13th-century civic palace located in Piazza del Plebiscito in central Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. It is attached and mainly accessible through the arch over Via Filippo Ascenzi connecting it to the larger Palazzo della Commune or Comunale. This palace has a tall stone bell-tower (Torre del Orologio formerly Torre dei Monaldeschi) rising behind it; the tower at about its midpoint has a clock, first added in the 15th-century. The largest bell in the tower derives from the church of Santa Maria della Verita. Diagonally across the piazza is the church of Sant'Angelo in Spatha, which has a marble replica of the Ancient Roman Sarcophagus of Bella Galiana on the facade.

The Palazzo dei Priori is a 13th-century civic palace located in Piazza del Plebiscito in central Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. Known in the past also as the Palazzo della Commune or Comunale, it now houses both municipal offices and the Museo dei Portici, which houses the famous altarpieces by Sebastiano del Piombo, depicting a Pietà and a Flagellation. The Palace is connected and accessible through an arch over Via Filippo Ascenzi to the former Palazzo del Governatore or Palazzo del Podesta, behind which rises a tall medieval clock tower. Its largest bell deriving from the church of Santa Maria della Verita. Across the piazza on the north end of the Palazzo dei Priori is the church of Sant'Angelo in Spatha, which has a marble replica of the Ancient Roman Sarcophagus of Bella Galiana on the facade. To the left of the palace, facing the piazza is the baroque Palazzo della Prefettura.

The Fontana di San Faustino is a medieval fountain located Piazza San Faustino, in front of the parish church of Santi Faustino e Giovita, in the historic center of Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. A fountain was erected at this site by 1251, in an area only enclosed by city walls in 1210, and settled by many displaced from the destruction of Ferentium in 1172. The fountain was commissioned by the neighbors. An inscription between the sculpted heads of a lion below the spire bears the names of the masons. The fountain has been restored over the centuries.

The Gran Caffè Schenardi is a historic, private cafe or coffeehouse located on Corso Italia #11 in Central Viterbo, Italy on via Chiaia. It is located just off Piazza delle Erbe with its Fountain of the Lions.

Santi Faustino e Giovita is a refurbished Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic church located on Piazza San Faustino in Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. The church is dedicated to the early Christian martyrs, Faustinus and Jovita.

The Teatro del Genio di Viterbo (Theater of the Genius of Viterbo) is the theatre stage and movie theatre in central Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. Located at the end of the dead-ended alleyway of Via del Teatro Genio. It is located around the block from Piazza del Erbe. While this was the earliest public theatre in Viterbo, after 1855 it was replaced as the main stage and opera house in town by the Teatro dell'Unione; it is presently shuttered.

The Fontana della Piazza del Gesù is a Renaissance-style public fountain located in a piazza of the same name in the historic center of Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. A fountain at this site, in front of the Jesuit church, now known as San Silvestro is mentioned for the first time in public documents in 1450. After centuries of litigation related to the flow of water, in the year 1727 the fountain was purchased by the Chigi family, they commissioned the repair of the tank and pipes in 1806. By 1915, it was decided to replace the fountain with a new structure made utilizing spolia from the fountain of the convent of San Domenico. A design by Giovanni Pizzichetti was selected. The lower basin is decorated with lion heads (symbol of Viterbo); while the upper basin stands on a tree decorated with alternating lion heads, oxen, horses and sheep.

San Silvestro is a Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic parish church located at the intersection of Via dei Pellegrini #23 with Piazza del Gesu, in Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. It is also known as Chiesa del Gesù, since it was previously administered by the Jesuits. The church is infamous for being the site of the murder of Henry of Almain (son of Richard, Earl of Cornwall) by his cousins Simon and Guy de Montfort: a murder occurring during a mass in 1271 attended by cardinals and kings.

The Rocca Albornoz or Castle Albornoz was originally a medieval castle in Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy. The original castle was erected by Gil de Albornoz (also known as Egidio Albornoz), legate for pope Clement VI and condottieri, after the defeat in 1354 of Giovanni di Vico, till then lord of Viterbo, who had usurped much of the Papal territories in the Lazio and Umbria. The structure, razed and rebuilt over the centuries, is now the Museo Nazionale Etrusco Rocca Albornoz (a National Etruscan archeology museum).
