Located in the Orchard Park area of North Burlington, Corpus Christi Catholic Secondary School has established a reputation for excellence in Catholic education.The school name, in Latin, Corpus Christi, celebrates the Feast of the Body of Christ or the Eucharist. It remembers and honours the institution of Sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper, and is celebrated on the Sunday following Trinity Sunday.

It is an English school in the Halton District School Board that as of September 2017 serves approximately 1600 grade 9-12 students. In its first year, Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School served approximately 600 students in grades 9–10. The school is named for Special Olympics pioneer Frank Hayden.

Founded in 1976, the school is named after former Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. Pearson closed at the end of the 2017–2018 school year, with staff and students moving to M. M. Robinson High School as of September 2018.

Bronte Creek Provincial Park is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and is part of the Ontario Parks system. The 6.4-square-kilometre (2.5 sq mi) park is located at the western edge of Oakville, bordering on Burlington. The park features hiking and biking trails, cross country skiing, and a play barn. During the summer, swimming is available in a large outdoor swimming pool. Camping in the park is permitted, including sites with electrical hookups.Bronte Creek Provincial Park has two separate activity areas (day-use and camping) which must be accessed via two separate entrances. Campground must be accessed via 3201 Upper Middle Road W, Oakville. This is off of Bronte Road, exit 111 off the QEW/ 403. The main day-use area is accessed via 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville. (exit 109 off the QEW/ 403).

Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School is a coeducational Catholic high school in Burlington, Ontario Canada. It was founded in 1989 by the Halton Catholic District School Board and enrols students from the 9th to 12th grades. However, many grade 12 graduates return for an optional 5th year of secondary school. Notre Dame is home to Extended French and 5 Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in Business Leadership, Green Industries, Computer Engineering, Culinary Arts, and Manufacturing. It is also a hub for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Its students compete annually in mock trials, model UN, School REACH, Euclid Math, Halton Skills, and many more local and provincial academic events. Notre Dame promotes and supports all post-secondary pathways—university, college, apprenticeship, and workplace. The school community hosts an annual Arts Night, School Play, Business Leadership Conference, and most recently a STEAM Conference. There are plenty of clubs and activities for students to participate in as well as Student Council, Prefect, Physical Education Leadership, Business Leadership, and STEAM sponsored events. On June 19, 2020, Canadian animal rights activist and protester Regan Russell was run over and killed by an animal transporter after a demonstration outside Sofina Foods Inc. subsidiary Fearman's Pork Inc., a pig slaughterhouse in Burlington, Ontario. The driver of the transporter was subsequently charged with careless driving causing death.

Palermo, founded as Hagartown, is a former village in Halton County, Ontario, Canada which has been amalgamated into the town of Oakville. The village was located around what is now the intersection of Dundas Street and Bronte Road. The village was established in 1805 by Lawrence Hagar, a settler to Upper Canada from Pennsylvania. The village was named Hagartown until 1836 when it was renamed to Palermo in honour of Horatio Nelson, Lord of Palermo.In 1869, the population was 300. In 1875, the village had an iron foundry, two stores, and a hotel. At that time its population was 150. By the 1870s, the village also had a wagon shop, blacksmith shop, harness shop, brick school house, churches, a telegraph office and drill shed. The village was amalgamated with Oakville in 1962, along with Trafalgar Township and other nearby villages.

Appleby GO Station is a railway station and bus station in the GO Transit network located in the 5000 block of Fairview Street in Burlington, Ontario in Canada near Appleby Line. It is a stop on the Lakeshore West line train service. This station primarily serves residential areas in the eastern part of Burlington with train services on weekdays and weekends. There are connecting Burlington Transit local bus services.Renovations began in the fall of 2014, incorporating repairs to the parking lots, relocation of the south drop-off area, the addition of energy efficient lighting and reconstruction of the south bus loop.
