Cologne Butzweilerhof Airport

Royal Air Force Butzweilerhof, commonly known as RAF Butzweilerhof was a Royal Air Force station in the middle west of Germany situated in the northern suburbs of Cologne (German: Köln). The station's motto was Per Vires Pax, and the station badge depicts the Cologne cathedral rising above the waters.

Sparkasse Am Butzweilerhof is a terminus station on the Cologne Stadtbahn line 5, located in the Cologne district of Ossendorf. The station lies on Von-Hünefeld-Straße, the center of a large media and business park of Coloneum, RTL Television and NetCologne. Station and the entire neighborhood is named after the former Cologne Butzweilerhof Airport. It was opened on 12. December 2010 and consists of one island platform with two rail tracks.

The station was opened on 27 August 2018 and consists of two side platforms with together two rail tracks. By lowering the tracks in the area of the terminal stop, a level access at sidewalk level was made possible. The new terminus was equipped with a 90-centimetre high platform for barrier-free access.

The station is located on Venloer Straße at its intersection with Äußere Kanalstraße in the district of Ehrenfeld. The station was opened in 1992 and consists of a mezzanine and one island platform with two rail tracks. The station was renamed on 15 December 2019 from Äußere Kanalstraße to Rochusplatz.

The Cologne school massacre was a mass murder that occurred at the Catholic elementary school (German: katholische Volksschule) located in the suburb of Volkhoven in Cologne, West Germany on 11 June 1964. The perpetrator, Walter Seifert, also known as "Der Feuerteufel von Volkhoven" ("Firedevil of Volkhoven"), attacked the people at the school with a home-made flamethrower and a spear, killing eight pupils and two teachers, and wounding twenty-two others. When police arrived at the scene, he fled from the school compound and poisoned himself. He was taken to a hospital, where he died the same evening.

Bocklemünd/Mengenich is a district on the north-western outskirts of Cologne in the urban district of Ehrenfeld. It consists of the villages Bocklemünd and Mengenich, which grew together and administratively merged in 1950. Today the district is known for the large production facilities of the WDR.

Köln-Lövenich is a railway station situated at Lövenich, Cologne in western Germany on the Cologne–Aachen railway. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.Lövenich station was opened on 2 July 1840 with the second phase of construction of the Cologne–Aachen railway at line-km 9.0 and was the western terminus of the line for about a year. In 2002, an S-Bahn stop was built west of the station at 9.7 km. At the same time, the former Lövenich station was dismantled and is now used only for passing loops. The S-Bahn stop has an island platform between the S-Bahn tracks. The station is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S13 between Sindorf or Düren and Troisdorf and line S19 between Düren and Hennef (Sieg), Blankenberg (Sieg), Herchen or Au (Sieg). Together these lines provide a service every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on the weekend. During the peak, line S12 also provides services every 20 minutes between Horrem and Hennef (Sieg).
