Altena Castle

Nette is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Lenne.

Altena (; Westphalian: Altenoa) is a town in the district of Märkischer Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The town's castle is the origin for the later Dukes of Berg. Altena is situated on the Lenne river valley, in the northern stretches of the Sauerland.

Rahmede is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It rises in Lüdenscheid, flows through the tortuous Rahmedetal and flows near Altena in the Lenne.

Werdohl-Elverlingsen Power Station is a coal and gas fired power station in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia near Werdohl, Germany on the Lenne river; its water used for cooling. Since 1912, this power station consumes natural gas and coal to produce it' electricity. Its current owner and operator is Mark-E.

The Protestant Church Ihmert (Ihmerter Kirche) is the only church building in Ihmert, North Rhine-Westphalia, and belongs to the Protestant parish Ihmert–Bredenbruch. Located in the Ortsteil Im Hasberg, it was consecrated in 1931. The church was built in economically difficult times from 1929 and 1931 and was consecrated on 15 March 1931. The church is built from dimension stone. The interior is dominated by a depiction of the Ascension in the choir. The building was damaged by fire in 1988. It was restored by the architecture firm of Hermann-Josef Geismann. The first pipe organ was built in 1949. It was damaged by fire in 1988, and was damaged so badly that it could not be repaired. A new organ was built by Hans Peter Mebold (Siegen). The expert who reviewed it when completed on 1 February 1990 described as "Orgelwerk (...), das im westfälischen Orgelbau eine führende Position einnehmen dürfte" (an organ which is expected to take a leading position in Westphalian organ building).

The Dechen Cave (German: Dechenhöhle) in Iserlohn, Germany is one of the most visited show caves in Germany. It is located in the northern part of the Sauerland at Iserlohn (Grüne district). 360 metres of the 870-metre long cave have been laid out for visitors, beginning at the spot where, in 1868, the cave was discovered by two railway workers. The workers dropped a hammer into a rock crevice which turned out to be the entrance to a dripstone cave when they were searching for the lost tool. The cave is named after Oberberghauptmann Heinrich von Dechen (1800–1889), in recognition of his contribution to researching the geology of the Rhineland and Westphalia.

Grüner Bach is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It flows into the Lenne near Oestrich.

Iserlohn station is located in central Iserlohn in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is at the end of two single-track lines, the Ardey Railway (Ardeybahn) from Dortmund and Schwerte and the line from Iserlohn-Letmathe with services from Essen via Hagen. Since 2008, it has operated from a rebuilt station called the Stadtbahnhof (city station).

Iserlohn (German: [iːzɐˈloːn] (listen); Westphalian: Iserlaun) is a city in the Märkischer Kreis district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the largest city by population and area within the district and the Sauerland region.

Lüdenscheid station is the terminus of a single-track branch line from Lüdenscheid-Brügge to Lüdenscheid in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It branches in Brügge from the Hagen–Dieringhausen railway. It is classified by DB Station&Service as a category 6 station.The station is on the edge of the centre of the district town of Lüdenscheid. The only platform extends up to Bahnhofstrasse (station street) and is at ground level. Central Lüdenscheid is easily accessible within a few minutes. Around the station the Lüdenscheid suburb of Grünewald also extends to the north and west and Knapp extends to the south.

Werdohl station is the passenger station of the town of Werdohl in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It lies on the Ruhr–Sieg railway, running from Hagen to Siegen and was opened in 1861 with the commissioning of the line. From 1887 to 1955 Werdohl was also the terminus of a narrow-gauge railway line to Lüdenscheid operated by the Altena District Railway (Kreis Altenaer Eisenbahn). Since the end of December 2012 Werdohl station is also a stop on the Sauerland-Höhenflug hiking trail.
