Gurudas College, established in 1956,14 August; is an undergraduate college in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. The name commemorates the legacy of Sir Gurudas Banerjee, the first Indian vice-chancellor of the University of Calcutta.

Dr. B C Roy Post Graduate Institute of Paediatric Sciences is a pioneering Indian institute for research and training in paediatric sciences in Kolkata. It was established by amalgamating Dr. B. C. Roy Memorial Hospital for Children, Kolkata (Estd. 1967) and B. C. Roy Polio Clinic and Hospital for Crippled Children on 28 September 2010. It is now affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences.

Suburban Reading Club is one of the oldest libraries in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. In the year 1888, The Suburban Reading Club was founded in a small room of the Narkaldanga High School in Beliaghata Narkeldanga Area. The legendary personalities of this area Sir Gurudas Banerjee, Raja Rajendralal Mitra, Rakhal Chandra Ghosh and Harish Chandra Chakraborty, a dedicated teacher of the School decided to open a library for this eastern part of the then suburban Calcutta.

The Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, formerly known as College of Ceramic Technology (CCT), is a public college affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in Kolkata, India. The college offers B.Tech in Ceramic Technology, Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering and M.Tech in the first two. The college has recently stepped into its 75th year of existence. The Platinum Jubilee of the college was celebrated in April 2016 with association of international conferences, an alumni meet and visit of eminent peoples.

Narkeldanga High School, India, is one of the oldest schools in Kolkata. Shree Rakhal Chandra Ghosh, a man noted for his social work during the Bengali Renaissance, started the school in his house in 1862. Later it was primarily owing to the efforts of Sir Gurudas Bandyopadhyay, the first Indian Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University, that Narikeldanga High School became an institution of secondary standard.
