Elmhurst High School was a public high school with a comprehensive intake and over 1,000 students. Elmhurst High School was a part of the Fort Wayne Community Schools school district, serving those living in the Waynedale area of Fort Wayne. It received accreditation from the Indiana Department of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

Fort Wayne International Airport (IATA: FWA, ICAO: KFWA, FAA LID: FWA) lies eight miles southwest of Fort Wayne, in Allen County, Indiana, United States. It is owned by the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority.The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a primary commercial service airport since it has over 10,000 passenger boardings (enplanements) per year. Federal Aviation Administration records say the airport had 359,800 enplanements in calendar year 2022, 7.15% more than 2021. Based on passenger enplanements, Fort Wayne International ranked #147 out of the 539 airports in the United States that received scheduled passenger airline service in 2022. As such, the airport is classified by the FAA as a "nonhub", or an airport that has between 10,000 and 400,000 enplanements per year. The airport has one terminal, the Lieutenant Paul Baer Terminal. Passenger flights reach seven airline hubs of Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, and Minneapolis-Saint Paul, along with flights to Orlando, Punta Gorda (serving Fort Myers and Sarasota), Tampa, Phoenix, and seasonal service to Myrtle Beach, Sarasota, and Las Vegas. Together, flights from the airport to these fourteen cities serve over 790,000 combined arriving and departing passengers per year.The airport has a 600,000-square-foot (56,000 m2) air cargo center on the southwest side. The center was occupied by Kitty Hawk Aircargo, which had a hub at Fort Wayne until October 30, 2007, shortly after the carrier filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The former Kitty Hawk hub is now used by several aviation and non-aviation companies including Logistics Insight, FedEx Express, and Spinach Ball.

Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base is a United States Air Force base, located at Fort Wayne International Airport, Indiana. It is located 7.6 miles (12.2 km) south-southwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Initially established in 1941 as a training airfield for the Army Air Forces, during World War II, Baer Field became a major training and aircraft processing base for C-47 Skytrain and C-46 Commando transport aircraft, equipping many Troop Carrier squadrons with aircraft and training their aircrews in their operation. Largely turned over to civil control after the war, the Air Force has maintained control over a small section of the civil airport for reserve training and Air National Guard use. Since 1952 it has been the home station of the Indiana Air National Guard 122d Fighter Wing.

Eagle Marsh is an 831-acre (336 ha) wetland preserve located in southwest Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is run by the Little River Wetlands Project, with the aim to restore the Little River watershed, a tributary of the Wabash River. Eagle Marsh abuts Interstate 69 on its western boundary and is located on a Continental divide between the Mississippi watershed and the Great Lakes watershed.

The Chief Jean Baptiste de Richardville House was built near Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1827. Subsidized by the U.S. federal government through the 1826 Treaty of Mississinewas, it is believed to be one of only three treaty houses built east of the Mississippi River. It was designated a National Historic Landmark on March 2, 2012.

Horney Robinson House, also known as the Gary Coffee Residence, is a historic home located in Wayne Township, Allen County, Indiana. It was built about 1845, and is a two-story, five-bay, Federal style frame dwelling. It has a side-gable roof and original native walnut interior woodwork.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Canterbury School is an independent, college preparatory day school for students aged 2 through Grade 12. The school is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana (U.S.). As of 2020, Canterbury School is ranked as the third-best private school in Indiana.

The Indian Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Fort Wayne, Indiana. The district encompasses 481 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, 1 contributing structure, and 6 contributing objects in a predominantly residential section of Fort Wayne. The area was developed from about 1925 to 1960, and includes notable examples of Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, and Modern Movement style residential architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Robert M. Feustel House is a historic home located at Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was built in 1927, and consists of a series of irregularly intersecting two-story, Tudor Revival style hip-roofed masses. It features polygonal chimney stacks, half-timbering with herringbone brick infill, and diagonal projections at the juncture of the wings. It was built by Robert M. Feustel, a locally prominent entrepreneur.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Congregation Achduth Vesholom is a Reform synagogue, located at 5200 Old Mill Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana.It is the oldest synagogue in Indiana, having been formed initially as a German Orthodox congregation on October 26, 1848. Originally, its name was "The Society for Visiting the Sick and Burying the Dead". At the outset, the congregation worshiped in private homes.In 1857, the synagogue purchased a building on Harrison Street for $1,200 ($38,000 today), which was dedicated as a synagogue. The first rabbi was Joseph Solomon, who served until 1859. In 1861, the congregation adopted its current name, which means "Unity and Peace".The congregation built a Gothic-style temple with seating for 800 people in 1874 at the cost of $25,000 ($647,000 today). Samuel Hirshberg was rabbi from 1891 to 1895.The congregation moved to 5200 Old Mill Road in 1961. In 1995, the synagogue hired a new rabbi, Sandford Kopnick.
