San Bernardino Valley College

Bunker Hill is a bluff in the City of San Bernardino in San Bernardino County, California. Bunker Hill trends northwest–southeast from 34°05′19″N 117°18′18″W through the campus of San Bernardino Valley College on the northeast to 34°04′46″N 117°18′6″W where it overlooks Lytle Creek on the southeast. Its tallest point is over 1080 feet at the top of a ridge marking its southwest facing edge at 34°05′04″N 117°18′33″W the top of a ridge, just south of Grant Avenue, that overlooks the southern parking lot of the college. Bunker Hill gives its name to the neighborhood of the city of San Bernardino in the vicinity of this feature.

KEZY (1240 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish language Christian format. Licensed to San Bernardino, California, United States, the station is currently owned by Hi-Favor Broadcasting, LLC.KEZY and its sister stations KLTX and KSDO serve Southern California with Spanish Christian programming, and are branded Radio Inspiración.

Politana or Apolitana was the first Spanish settlement in the San Bernardino Valley of California. It was established as a mission chapel and supply station by the Mission San Gabriel in the a rancheria of the Guachama Indians that lived on the bluff that is now known as Bunker Hill, near Lytle Creek. Besides the Guachama, it was also at various times the home for colonists from New Mexico and Cahuilla people. Its most prominent landmark today is the St. Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church on Colton Avenue, just southwest of the Inland Center Mall, in San Bernardino, California. The site is said to be named for a "faithful Indian convert, Hipolito."

Rancho San Bernardino was a 35,509-acre (143.70 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day San Bernardino County, California given in 1842 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to José del Carmen Lugo, José María Lugo, Vicente Lugo, and Diego Sepulveda. The grant included a large part of the San Bernardino valley, and encompassed present-day San Bernardino, Fontana, Rialto, Redlands and Colton.

KPWK (1350 AM) is a commercial radio station in San Bernardino, California, broadcasting to the Riverside-San Bernardino, California, area on 1350 AM. Its studios are in Riverside and the transmitter tower is in San Bernardino. KPWK airs a sports format branded as "Fox Sports I.E. 1350 AM."

Inland Center is a regional shopping mall owned and operated by Macerich, located in San Bernardino, California along the southwest border adjacent to Interstate 215 and the city of Colton. The mall is within one mile of three bordering cities on the southern end of San Bernardino (Redlands, Colton, and Loma Linda). Inland Center is a single-level mall anchored by, JCPenney, Forever 21 and Macy's, plus 110 specialty shops and services.

The Urbita Lake Railway was a 1⁄2 mile (0.8 km) long miniature railway with a gauge of 18 in (457 mm), which operated from approximately 1910 to at least August 1915 at Urbita Hot Springs park (since 1966 the location of the Inland Center shopping mall) in San Bernardino, California.

Colton is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Nicknamed "Hub City", Colton is located in the Inland Empire region of the state and is a suburb of San Bernardino, approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south of the city's downtown. The population of Colton is 52,154 according to the 2010 census, up from 47,662 at the 2000 census. Colton is the site of Colton Crossing, which was one of the busiest at-grade railroad crossings in the United States. The crossing was installed in 1882 by the California Southern Railroad to cross the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks while building northward from San Diego. As a result of railroad acquisitions and mergers, this became the point at which the Burlington Northern Santa Fe's "Southern Transcontinental Route" crossed the Union Pacific's "Sunset Route". As traffic on each line began to soar in the mid-1990s, fueled largely by the vast increase in imports passing through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the primitive crossing became a serious bottleneck. On August 28, 2013, the at-grade crossing was officially replaced by a fly-over that raises the east–west UP tracks over the north–south BNSF tracks. Despite its status as a railroad town, Colton does not have passenger rail service. Passenger trains operated by Amtrak and Metrolink pass through Colton but do not stop there.

Lytle Creek, California, is an approximately 18-mile-long (29 km) stream in southwestern San Bernardino County near the city of San Bernardino. It is a tributary of Warm Creek, a tributary of the Santa Ana River. The Mormon settlers of San Bernardino named the stream "Lytle Creek" after their leader, Captain Andrew Lytle. The Tongva village of Wa’aachnga was located along Lytle Creek.

San Bernardino ( SAN BUR-nə-DEE-noh) is a city and county seat of San Bernardino County, California, United States. Located in the Inland Empire region of Southern California, the city had a population of 222,101 in the 2020 census, making it the 18th-largest city in California. San Bernardino is the economic, cultural, and political hub of the San Bernardino Valley and the Inland Empire. The governments of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico have established the metropolitan area's only consulates in the downtown area of the city. Additionally, San Bernardino serves as an anchor city to the 3rd largest metropolitan area in California (after Los Angeles and San Francisco) and the 13th largest metropolitan area in the United States; the San Bernardino-Riverside MSA. Furthermore, the city's University District serves as a college town, as home to California State University, San Bernardino. San Bernardino was named in 1810, when Spanish priest Francisco Dumetz led an expedition through the area. In 1839, the Mexican government granted Californio ranchero José del Carmen Lugo the right to settle the area, which was formalized when he was granted Rancho San Bernardino in 1842. Following the American Conquest of California, the community on the rancho incorporated as a city in 1854. The city grew significantly in the late 19th century as a commercial hub at the crossroads between Southern California and the American Southwest. Today, San Bernardino is an important hub for the Inland Empire and Southern California.

The San Bernardino Santa Fe Depot (Metrolink designation San Bernardino–Depot) is a Mission Revival Style passenger rail terminal in San Bernardino, California, United States. It has been the primary station for the city, serving Amtrak today, and the Santa Fe and Union Pacific Railroads in the past. Until the mid-20th century, the Southern Pacific Railroad had a station 3/4 of a mile away. It currently serves one Amtrak (Southwest Chief) and two Metrolink lines (Inland Empire–Orange County Line and San Bernardino Line). The depot is a historical landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Passenger and Freight Depot.

Orange Show Speedway is a race track in San Bernardino, California. It is a quarter mile in length. Opened in 1947, it is said to be the longest continually running racetrack in the west coast of United States of America. The track hosts various stock car divisions including Late Models, Street Stock, Mini Stock, Figure 8, Open Comp, Bandolero, Barber Pole, Skid Plate, and Legends. The track hosted 10 races of NASCAR Winston West Series between 1963 and 1978. Then after 37 years absence, the series returned to Orange Show Speedway in 2016 and ran 3 races between 2016 and 2018.Orange Show Speedway also hosted 16 NASCAR Southwest Series events between 1986 and 1997.
