1966 U.S. Women's Open

The 2019 Women's PGA Championship (branded as the 2019 KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 65th Women's PGA Championship, played June 20–23 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. It was the third of five major championships on the LPGA Tour during the 2019 season. Australian Hannah Green won by one stroke over defending champion Park Sung-hyun, in her first victory in both a women's major and the LPGA Tour. It was the first wire-to-wire win at the Women's PGA Championship since Yani Tseng in 2011 and the first major win by an Australian since Karrie Webb at the 2006 Kraft Nabisco Championship.

The 2002 PGA Championship was the 84th PGA Championship, held August 15–18 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Rich Beem won his only major title, one stroke ahead of runner-up Tiger Woods.This was the third major at Hazeltine; it hosted the U.S. Open in 1970 and 1991. The PGA Championship returned seven years later in 2009, also a runner-up finish for Woods.

The 1991 U.S. Open was the 91st U.S. Open, held June 13–17 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Payne Stewart defeated 1987 champion Scott Simpson in an 18-hole Monday playoff to win the first of his two U.S. Open titles. It was the second of Stewart's three major championships. Stewart held the lead through each of the first three rounds, but in the final round he found himself trailing Simpson by a stroke heading to the 18th. Simpson hit his drive into the rough and could only manage a bogey to Stewart's par, forcing an 18-hole playoff. Both players shot a final-round 72 to finish at 282 total, three shots clear of Larry Nelson and Fred Couples. In the playoff, Simpson led by two-strokes heading to the 16th. He then bogeyed the hole, however, while Stewart made birdie to even up the contest. At the par-3 17th, Simpson found the water on his tee shot and recorded another bogey, giving Stewart a one-shot advantage. Simpson then made bogey on the 18th while Stewart made a par, giving Stewart a two-stroke win and the championship. Stewart's winning score in the playoff of 75 was the highest since Tommy Armour won with a 76 in 1927.Play was interrupted during the first round due to a severe thunderstorm. Six people were struck by lightning while seeking shelter near the 11th tee, and one person was killed.It was the final U.S. Open appearance for two-time champion Lee Trevino; Phil Mickelson won low-amateur honors for the second consecutive year, finishing in 55th place. This was the second U.S. Open at Hazeltine; the first was in 1970. It later hosted the PGA Championship in 2002 and 2009.

The 41st Ryder Cup Matches were held in the United States from September 30 to October 2, 2016, at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Europe entered the competition as the cup holders, having won in 2014 in Scotland for their third consecutive win. The United States won for the first time since 2008 at Valhalla, and featured the most lopsided American victory since a 9-point win in 1981 at Walton Heath. As in 2008, the U.S. never trailed during the tournament. Ryan Moore defeated Lee Westwood by 1 hole to reclaim the Cup with three matches still in progress. Captain Davis Love III dedicated the win to Arnold Palmer, who had died five days before the competition at the age of 87 while awaiting heart surgery. A bag from Palmer's captaincy in 1975 at Laurel Valley was placed on the first tee during Friday's opening foursomes to honor "The King", and Team USA also swept the opening foursomes on Friday morning for the first time since 1975. Two days after the matches, the majority of Team USA attended Palmer's public memorial at Saint Vincent College in his hometown of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and brought the trophy at the request of Palmer's daughter Amy. Palmer had also had a video tribute at the opening ceremony and tributes in remarks from both captains (Love and Darren Clarke) and both honorary captains (Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin).

The 1970 U.S. Open was the 70th U.S. Open, held June 18–21 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Tony Jacklin shot under-par in all four rounds on his way to a seven-stroke victory and his only U.S. Open title, the second of his two major championships. He was the first champion born in England since Cyril Walker in 1924. Jacklin led wire-to-wire and was hardly threatened throughout the championship. The first round was played in extremely challenging conditions with winds blustering up to 41 miles an hour and resulted in generally high scoring with only 7 players in the field breaking 75. Arnold Palmer shot 79, Gary Player 80, and Jack Nicklaus 81. In contrast Jacklin thrived in the conditions and returned a 71 saying the wind blew harder in England and "the more it blows, the better I like it."Jacklin took a four-shot lead over Dave Hill into the final round, and despite bogeys at the 7th and 8th, made a long birdie putt at 9 to quell any talk of a collapse. Jacklin shot a third consecutive round of 70 and a 281 total, seven clear of the field and the only player under par.The final round was broadcast by ABC. The existing footage includes commentary from Byron Nelson, Dave Marr and Henry Longhurst.Opened eight years earlier, Hazeltine was hosting its first men's major championship, and reviews were mixed. Runner-up Hill, when asked what the course lacked, said: "Eighty acres of corn and a few cows. They ruined a good farm when they built this course." Jacklin was more philosophical about the course. "We have to accept things as they are" he said. "After all, they aren't going to change the course just for me. No golf course will suit everybody perfectly."The course underwent significant renovations; when the U.S. Open returned twenty-one years later in 1991 it drew generally positive reviews, even from Hill. Hazeltine later hosted the PGA Championship twice (2002, 2009) and the Ryder Cup in 2016. Jacklin's win was the first in the U.S. Open by a European in over forty years and the last for forty more, until Graeme McDowell won at Pebble Beach in 2010. The next win by an Englishman was three years later in 2013, Justin Rose at Merion. Future major winners Ben Crenshaw (age 18) and John Mahaffey (age 22) tied for low amateur honors at 301 (+13), tied for 36th place. Just out of high school, Crenshaw was tied for eighth after each of the first two rounds.

Hazeltine National Golf Club ( HAY-zəl-teen) is a golf club located in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis, United States. It is a private club and therefore closed to guests not accompanied by a member. The golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1962. Hazeltine also hosts functions other than golf. The clubhouse has a ballroom and two restaurants.

The 1977 U.S. Women's Open was the 32nd U.S. Women's Open, held July 21–24 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Hollis Stacy led wire-to-wire and won her first major championship and the first of her three U.S. Women's Open titles, two strokes ahead of runner-up Nancy Lopez, who had recently turned professional. She began the final round with a one-stroke lead over Jan Stephenson, with Lopez a stroke back in third.Seven years earlier in 1970, Hazeltine had hosted the U.S. Open, which returned in 1991. The PGA Championship was played at the course in 2002 and 2009 and the Ryder Cup in 2016.

The 2009 PGA Championship was the 91st PGA Championship, held August 13–16 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, a suburb southwest of Minneapolis. Yang Yong-eun, more commonly referred to as "Y.E. Yang" in the U.S., won his first major title, three strokes ahead of runner-up Tiger Woods, a four-time champion. It marked the first time that Woods had failed to win a major he had led after 54 holes. Yang also became the first Asian-born player to win a men's major championship (although the third of Asian descent, after Vijay Singh and Woods).It was the fourth major championship held at the course; it previously hosted the PGA Championship in 2002, won by Rich Beem, and two U.S. Opens (1970, 1991). The 2009 course was the longest up to that time for a major at 7,674 yards (7,017 m) (the 2012 and 2021 PGA Championships and 2017 U.S. Open all surpassed it). The average elevation of the course is approximately 940 feet (287 m) above sea level.

Hazeltine Lake is a lake in Chaska, along the fairways of Hazeltine National Golf Club, in Carver County, Minnesota, in the United States.Hazeltine Lake is named for the Hazeltine family of early settlers; Lake Susan is named for Susan Hazeltine.The golf club, adjacent to the lake, settled on the name “Hazeltine" when it opened in 1962.

CHS is a 9–12 grade school that is attended by more than 1,500 students.The school mascot is the "Hawk," with the school colors being purple and gold.

Chanhassen High School (CNHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Chanhassen, Minnesota, United States, a southwestern suburb of Minneapolis. Construction of the school was approved by voters in 2006 in response to rapidly growing enrollment in Carver County and overcrowding at Chaska High School, the district's other high school.

Chaska ( CHASS-kə) is a city and the county seat of Carver County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 27,810 at the 2020 census. An outer ring suburb of the Twin Cities, Chaska is home to the Hazeltine National Golf Club and is known for its historic downtown area located on a bend of the Minnesota River. The City of Chaska merged with Chaska Township in 2006. The city still has some remaining agricultural land.
