Radyr railway station is a railway station serving the Radyr area of Cardiff, South Wales. It is at the foot of the hill at the eastern edge of the village, alongside the River Taff and adjacent to the Taff Trail. Radyr Hydro Scheme is a 400kW small-scale hydroelectric station located in Radyr, Cardiff, Wales.The scheme makes use of the large height difference created by Radyr Weir to push water through two 4-metre-wide (13 ft), 10-metre-long (33 ft) Archimedean screw turbines.The scheme was constructed in 2015 by Dawnus, being designed by Renewables First and operated by Cardiff Council.Cardiff Council built the scheme to supply renewable electricity as part of a plan to lower carbon emissions in order to help Cardiff become a "one planet city" by 2050.

Christ Church is a Grade II listed Anglican church in Radyr, Cardiff, Wales. It is a daughter church of St John's in Danescourt, despite being considerably larger. The church was begun in 1903, designed by G.E. Halliday, the Diocesan Surveyor for Llandaff. It was built in response to the growth in the populations of Radyr and Morganstown in the late Victorian years. The nave was first used on Easter Sunday 1904. The dedication stone was laid by Robert Windsor-Clive, 1st Earl of Plymouth, who held the title of Viscount Windsor at nearby St Fagans and had donated the land upon which the church was built. He had formerly served as Cardiff's mayor in the 1890s. The chancel, vestry and tower were added in 1910. An extension, housing parish function rooms, was added in the late 20th century. The original vestry is now a chapel.

Pentyrch railway station served the village of Pentyrch, in the historical county of Glamorgan, Wales, from 1840 to 1863 on the Taff Vale Railway.

Tongwynlais is a village and community in the north of Cardiff, Wales, north of the M4 motorway in the Taff Valley. It is notable as the location of the hillside landmark, Castell Coch. The population as of the 2011 census was 1871.

Radyr Motive Power Depot was a traction maintenance depot located in Radyr, Cardiff, Wales. The depot was situated on the Merthyr Line and was near Radyr station. The depot code is RR.

Melingriffith Water Pump is a water-driven water pump that was built by Watkin George, of Cyfartha, around 1793 to return precious water from the Melingriffith Tin Plate Works to the Glamorganshire Canal. The water pump is a scheduled monument and has been restored twice since it ceased operation in the 1940s. For many years it was believed to be designed by the canal engineer John Rennie.

Coryton is a district of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, lying immediately to the north of Whitchurch next to junction 32 of the M4 motorway. It is within the Whitchurch & Tongwynlais electoral ward.

The Melingriffith Tin Plate Works (alternate: Melingriffith Tin and Iron Works; Welsh, Melingruffydd; translation, "Griffith's Mill") were post medieval tin and iron works located on Tŷ-mawr Road, in Whitchurch, Cardiff, Wales. Founded sometime before 1750, it was the largest tin-plate works in the world by the end of the 18th century. Subsequent to the closure of tin plate works in 1957, the 200-year-old Melingriffith water pump was named a scheduled monument. It is one of the earliest and most important works of its kind, and may be "the most notable surviving monument of the tinplate industry".

Radyr Comprehensive School (Welsh: Ysgol Gyfun Radur) is an 11–18 mixed comprehensive school and sixth form college in Radyr, Cardiff, Wales that was established in 1972. The current roll is around 1,295 students, with around 280 of those in the sixth form.The school is controlled by the Cardiff Education Authority. For the 2000–01 school year, demand for places from parents exceeded supply.
