St Mary's Church, Capel-le-Ferne

RNAS Capel (later RAF Folkestone) was a First World War airship station near Folkestone, Kent.

Hougham Without is a civil parish between Dover and Folkestone in southeast England. The main settlements are the villages of Church Hougham and West Hougham, collectively known simply as "Hougham". Great Hougham Court Farm is located to the south of the two villages, near the Dover transmitting station. The Channel Tunnel runs underground just south of West Hougham and directly under both Church Hougham and the Farm.

Folkestone Warren is a 316.3-hectare (782-acre) biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which runs along the coast between Folkestone and Dover in Kent. It is a Nature Conservation Review site and it contains three Geological Conservation Review sites and part of a fourth. An area of 83.6 hectares (207 acres) is a Local Nature Reserve,These chalk cliffs have several nationally rare plants and they provide a location for cliff nesting and wintering birds. The SSSI also contains two internationally important reference sites for study of the Cretaceous period.

Folkestone Warren Halt was a station on the South Eastern Main Line of the South Eastern Railway at the beach location known as "The Warren" in the east end of Folkestone, Kent, now within the East Cliff and Warren Country Park.

The Battle of Britain Memorial is a monument to aircrew who flew in the Battle of Britain. It is sited on the White Cliffs at Capel-le-Ferne, near Folkestone, on the coast of Kent.

The Dover transmitting station is a facility for broadcasting and telecommunications, located at West Hougham, near Dover, Kent (grid reference TR274397). It has a 243.2 metres (798 ft) high guyed steel lattice mast of triangular cross section. The station is owned by Arqiva. The recommended UHF aerial group is C/D with horizontal polarisation. There is also a relay transmitter located in the town of Dover (Dover Town); in addition FM radio services are covered by the Swingate transmitting station. Along with Heathfield and Bluebell Hill, Dover transmits regional television services from BBC One South East and ITV Meridian (South East).

Capel-le-Ferne is a village situated near Folkestone, Kent. Its name derives from the phrase "Chapel in the Ferns". It had a population in 2011 of 1,884. It is perched on top of the White Cliffs of Dover. Its foremost attraction is the Battle of Britain Memorial, opened by the Queen Mother on 9 July 1993 and dedicated to those who fought in the battle. The Memorial is built upon part of a former World War II coastal battery (No. 2 and No. 3 guns). The other part of the Coastal Battery is privately held and under restoration. The Channel Tunnel runs underneath the northernmost part of the village.The village is twinned with the commune of Oye-Plage in the Pas-de-Calais department in France, about 7 miles (12 km) east of Calais.

Sladden Wood is a 7-hectare (17-acre) nature reserve north of Alkham in Kent. It is managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust.The main trees in this wood are hornbeam, field maple and hazel, and there are ground flora such as green hellebore and yellow archangel.There is access by a footpath from Alkham.

Drellingore is a village in South East Kent, England. It lies in the Alkham Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty between Folkestone and Dover. Although the Alkham Valley is a dry valley most of the surrounding land forms a water catchment area. Water is extracted from the chalk aquifer for use in the Dover to Folkestone area of Kent. The population is included in the civil parish of Aylesham.
