St. Joseph Cemetery (or St. Joseph's Cemetery) is a Catholic cemetery located just outside Auburn, New York in the town of Fleming, New York. Former big league baseball player Tug Arundel is buried there.

Sand Beach Church is a historic Reformed Church church located in the Town of Fleming near Auburn in Cayuga County, New York. It is a vernacular Romanesque Revival style brick structure built in 1854–1855 on the site of an earlier 1807 frame church. The church features a square bell tower that once stood 82 feet high, but was modified to its present form after a fire in 1935. The former church building was purchased by Sean Lattimore on August 3, 2007, for use by the nearby Springside Inn Restaurant. Adjacent to the church is a cemetery with burials dating to the early 19th century. On August 17, 1978; all of the assets of the Owasco Lake Cemetery Association, including both the former Sand Beach Cemetery and adjacent Owasco Lake Cemetery land parcels, were deeded to become owned by the Town of Fleming NY. Noted missionary Samuel Robbins Brown (1810–1880) served as pastor from 1851 to 1859 and in 1867 upon his return from Japan.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Melrose Park is a suburban community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cayuga County, New York, United States. The population was 2,294 at the 2010 census. It is a suburb of Auburn, located south of the city in the town of Owasco.

The Lakeside Park in Owasco, New York is a historic "pleasure ground" park located on Owasco Lake in Cayuga County, New York. It is a 40 acres (16 ha) park located within the boundaries of Emerson Park, a 130-acre (53 ha) municipal park system. The property includes four contributing design and architectural features: the remaining 25 acres (10 ha) park, including the primary and secondary paths and walkways, vistas, vegetation, and cast-iron lampposts and benches; and the Pavilion, Carousel Shelter, and Refreshment / Concession Stand. The park was originally designed and laid out in 1895 by the Auburn and Syracuse Electric Railroad Company. A Charles I. D. Looff carousel was installed in 1900. In 1908, this ride was replaced by another Looff carousel. The focal point of the property is the Pavilion; a Colonial Revival style dance hall and restaurant facility completed in July 1912. The Carousel Shelter, a twelve-sided structure built in 1921, once held a 1915 Herschell Spillman Company carousel with 51 animals. In 1972, it was converted into a summer theater. The Refreshment / Concession was also built in 1921 and moved to its present location in 1921.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Harriet Tubman National Historical Park is a US historical park in Auburn and Fleming, New York. Associated with the life of Harriet Tubman, it has three properties: the Harriet Tubman Home for the Aged, in Auburn; the nearby Harriet Tubman Residence, just across the city/town line in Fleming; and the Thompson A.M.E. Zion Church and parsonage in Auburn. They are located at 180 and 182 South Street and 47-49 Parker Street, respectively. The A.M.E. Zion Church unit is administered by the National Park Service (NPS), and the South Street properties, including a historic barn and a visitor center, are jointly managed and operated by both the NPS and the Harriet Tubman Home, Inc. The church also works with the NPS in park operations. The Harriet Tubman Grave, in nearby Fort Hill Cemetery, is not part of the park. The group of properties also makes up a National Historic Landmark, with the first parcel being declared in 1974 and two others added in 2001.Tubman was a major conductor on the Underground Railroad and was known as the "Moses of her people." She moved to Auburn with her parents after she had spent eight to ten years in St. Catharines, Ontario. She continued working as a suffragist and worked all her life to care for others who were unable to care for themselves. The Harriet Tubman Home for the Aged is the house in which she fulfilled her dream of opening a home for indigent and elderly African-Americans. In 1911, she was admitted there herself, and she remained there until her death in 1913. The Harriet Tubman Residence was Tubman's home during much of the time that she lived in Auburn, from 1859 to 1913. The land was sold to her in 1859 by US Senator William H. Seward.Thompson A.M.E. Zion Church is the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in which Harriet Tubman attended services. Later in her life, she deeded the Home for the Aged to the church for it to manage after her death.

Auburn Button Works and Logan Silk Mills is a historic factory complex located at Auburn in Cayuga County, New York. It is a vernacular Italianate style industrial building built in 1879-1880 to house the Auburn Button Works and Logan Silk Mills. The complex has three parts: a three-story, rectangular main block; a two-story, rectangular west wing; and three story rectangular east wing. It is built of brick on a stone foundation. Logan Silk Mills was famous for providing the silk for the gown of the First Lady Caroline Harrison wore when her husband, Benjamin Harrison, was inaugurated the 23rd President of the United States in 1889. The Logan Silk Mills went out of business the following year and the space was occupied by the Wegman Piano Company. The Auburn Button Works remained in the complex until about 1900. A fire swept through the west wing on May 1, 1914, and destroyed the third floor. The complex was used as manufacturing space for automobile and mill supplies, shoes, marine hardware, and has also provided warehouse space.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

South Street Area Historic District is a national historic district located in Auburn. The district contains 164 contributing resources and includes structures dating from 1800 to the 1940s. It is linear in orientation and about a mile in length along South Street from Metcalf Drive to Lincoln Street. Located within the district is the separately listed William H. Seward House.The historic district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The William H. Seward House Museum is a historic house museum at 33 South Street in Auburn, New York. Built about 1816, the home of William H. Seward (1801–72), who served as a New York state senator, the governor of New York, a U.S. senator, a presidential candidate, and then Secretary of State under presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1964, and added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. It is now maintained by nonprofit organization as a museum dedicated to Seward's legacy.

Schine's Auburn Theatre is a historic theatre building located at 12-14 South Street between Genesee and Lincoln Streets in Auburn, New York. It is owned by the Cayuga County Arts Council. It is an outstanding example of the later Art Deco style of architecture in the Streamline Moderne vein designed by the noted theatre architect John Eberson. It was completed in 1938 and features a ceramic brick and terra cotta facade, a stylized marquee, and a 2,000 seat auditorium with a complex arrangement of flat and curvilinear wall and ceiling surfaces and reveals and decorated with a shooting star motif.The Schine's Theatre operation had two other theatres in Auburn, the Jefferson and the Palace, but the Auburn Theatre was the only one built specifically for the chain. The theatre was air conditioned using the latest available equipment, and it offered hard-of-hearing customers special headphones to better hear the films.The theatre has been undergoing renovation since 2003, and the project was not complete as of 2012. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Fort Hill Cemetery is a cemetery located in Auburn, New York, United States. It was incorporated on May 15, 1851 under its official name: "Trustees of the Fort Hill Cemetery Association of Auburn". It is known for its headstones of notable people such as former Secretary of State William H. Seward, his son, William H. Seward Jr. and abolitionist and freedom fighter Harriet Tubman. It is built on what was once a fortified village of the Cayuga Nation. The cemetery features a 56 ft (17 m). high limestone obelisk monument to Chief Logan, famed chief of the Haudenosaunee.

Cayuga County Courthouse and Clerk's Office is a historic courthouse complex located at 152 Genesee Street in Auburn, New York. It consists of a two building government complex. The courthouse was built in 1835–1836 to a design by John I. Hagaman in the Greek Revival style, employing a massive Greek Doric order. It was rebuilt and expanded in 1922–1924 after a fire destroyed everything but the front and side walls of the original building. The rebuilt courthouse, designed by Carl Tallman and Samuel Hillger, is a 2+1⁄2-story, Neoclassical temple-fronted stone building incorporating Hagaman's monumental portico. Attached to it is the 1882 County Clerk's Office building, designed by Green and Wicks in the Late Victorian Italianate style.The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Belt-Gaskin House is a historic home located at Auburn in Cayuga County, New York. It is a two-story, three-bay frame house built about 1868. The house was built by African Americans Thomas and Rachel Belt (or possibly Bell), who returned to the U.S. from Canada after the conclusion of the Civil War. The National Register nomination document asserts:Evidence that the Belt family were freedom seekers is circumstantial but compelling. About 1805, Rachael Belt and Thomas Belt were born in Maryland, almost certainly in slavery. In the 1840s, they came to New York State, where their son George was born about 1849. Perhaps as a result of the Fugitive Slave Law of 1850, they left New York State for Canada, where another son, Isaiah, was born about 1854. Between 1865 and 1870, Thomas and Rachael Belt returned to the United States. On November 5, 1868, they bought a house on Cornell Street (now Chapman Avenue) in Auburn, New York, in a neighborhood near Harriet Tubman's home, where many other freedom seekers, as well as many Irish and U.S.-born people of European-American descent, were also buying homes. The Belt house appeared on an 1868 manuscript map by John S. Clark, from a survey by A.C. Taber, along with a series of small houses built on the north side of Cornell Street. The property was purchased by Thomas Belt (or Bell) from Horace and Mary Fitch; Horace Fitch was son of abolitionist, industrialist Abijah Fitch. Based on property tax assessments, it appears the house was probably built in two parts, one by 1868 and the other at some point between 1869 and 1874.The pastor of the Thomson AME Zion Church, Reverend John Thomas, who had been born a slave in Virginia in 1814, was a boarder at the house when he died in 1894.The house was purchased in 1927 by Philip and Mary Gaskin.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
