The Democratic Times Museum (traditional Chinese: 立法院民主時刻館; simplified Chinese: 立法院民主时刻馆; pinyin: Lìfǎyuàn Mínzhǔ Shíkè Guǎn) is a museum in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan.

The Assembly Affairs Museum, The Legislative Yuan (traditional Chinese: 立法院議政博物館; simplified Chinese: 立法院议政博物馆; pinyin: Lìfǎyuàn Yìzhèng Bówùguǎn) is a museum in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan.

Asia University (AU; Chinese: 亞洲大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: A-chiu Tāi-ha̍k), formerly Taichung Health and Management College (Chinese: 臺中健康暨管理學院; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-tiong Kiān-khong Kì Koán-lí Ha̍k-īⁿ), is a private university in Taichung, Taiwan. Founded in 2001, it offers education for degrees in health and medical science, computer science and electrical engineering, creative design, management, and humanities and social sciences. The university was founded with the goal of becoming an internationally competitive comprehensive university, and has been growing quickly since its creation. Specifically, being essentially a college with 17 departments and only about 2000 students when established in 2001, it has become a medium-size university with 28 departments and more than 12,000 students in 2018.

Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area (Chinese: 參山國家風景區; pinyin: Sānshān Guójiā Fēngjǐngqū) is a national scenic area located within central Taiwan, spanning Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, and Nantou County. The area is composed of three non-contiguous scenic areas (Baguashan, Shitoushan, and Lishan), which are all named after mountains, hence the name. The three scenic areas were formerly distinct and designated as province-level scenic areas. With the deprecation of the Taiwan Provincial Government, the areas were merged into one for easier management on 16 March 2001. The management office is located outside of the scenic area in Wufeng District, Taichung.

The Lin Hsien-tang Residence Museum (traditional Chinese: 林獻堂文物館; simplified Chinese: 林献堂文物馆; pinyin: Línxiàntáng Wénwùguǎn) is a museum in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan.

Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden (Chinese: 霧峰林家宅園; pinyin: Wùfēng Lín Jiāzhái Yuán) is the former residence and grounds of the Wufeng Lin Family in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan. Owing to the size of the Lin family clan, the vast site can be divided into two sections, the Upper (頂厝) and Lower (下厝) Mansions. The Lai Garden (萊園; Laiyuan) constructed by Lin Wenqin is commonly known as The Lin Family Garden (林家花園).

Wufeng District (Chinese: 霧峰區; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Bū-hong-khu) is a suburban district in southern Taichung, Taiwan. It is the location of Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council. Wufeng is a mainly agricultural town. It was heavily damaged by the Jiji earthquake on 21 September 1999, which caused around 100 deaths in the town. The 921 Earthquake Museum of Taiwan, which commemorates the giant quake, is built at what was formerly Guangfu Junior High School, which was destroyed when part of the school was uplifted by the Chelungpu Fault during the quake. The two major geographical features of this town are the Wu Xi (Wu Stream), which forms the town's southern border, and Xiangbi Shan (Elephant Trunk Mountain), which lies in the eastern part of the township.

Poding Memorial Library (Chinese: 波錠紀念圖書館; pinyin: Bōdìng Jìniàn Túshūguǎn) is the library at Chaoyang University of Technology in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan, established in 1994. The construction of the new library building began in June 1997, and was completed in March 1999.

Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT); Chinese: 朝陽科技大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tiâu-iông Kho-ki Tāi-ha̍k) is a university in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan. Founded in 1994, originally named Chaoyang Institute of Technology, and granted university status in 1997. Currently, the university comprises 5 colleges and 23 departments, which offers 23 master's programs and 5 doctoral programs. There are 18,000 students currently enrolled, they are around 1,800, and faculty and staff total about 1,000. It was ranked 1201–1400 by QS in 2024.

The Taichung Basin (Chinese: 臺中盆地; pinyin: Táizhōng Péndì), located in the central region of western Taiwan, is the third largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. It occupies parts of Taichung City, Nantou County and Changhua County. The basin borders the Choshui River in the south; the hill lands of Nantou in the east; the Tatu Plateau in the northwest; and the Pakua Plateau in the southwest. A notch connecting the Taichung Basin to the seacoast of Taichung City stretches between the two plateaus.
