Newlands Cricket Ground

Newlands railway station is a Metrorail station on the Southern Line, serving the suburb of Newlands in Cape Town. The station is located between the SAB Newlands Brewery and the Newlands Cricket Ground It has two side platforms and two tracks; the station building is at ground level on the western side of the tracks.

The stadium has a capacity of 51,900 people, but is not an all-seater venue.Various sports teams use the stadium as their home base, including: Stormers in Super Rugby Western Province in the Currie CupTenants Stormers finished in first place in the 2012 Super Rugby season for the first time in their history. Western Province also use the venue for home games. The city's soccer clubs Ajax Cape Town, Santos and the dissolved club Vasco da Gama have in the past occasionally hosted matches at the Newlands Stadium.

The Peter Clarke Art Centre, formerly known as the Frank Joubert Art Centre, is a co-educational government art school in Cape Town, South Africa. The school specilises in teaching the visual arts and design within the Western Cape Education Department's curriculum. It has the capacity to offer these courses to 200 grade 10 to 12 students from 50 different schools in the surrounding area. It also offers classes for adult learners.It was founded by Frank Joubert, a World War II captain in the South African Army, in 1943 to help rehabilitate traumatised soldiers through art. Originally located at Rustenburg House the school moved to its current location at Vredenhoff, Newlands in 1970. In the 1960s the school started offering art as a matric subject to school children from other schools. In 2016 it was renamed after the artist Peter Clarke.

Westerford High School is a public English medium co-educational high school situated in the suburbs of Rondebosch and Newlands in Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It has a campus in Rondebosch where the main school buildings are located and a secondary campus in Newlands used for sport. The school is located close to the Newlands Rugby Ground and Table Mountain. The school opened on 21 January 1953 and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on 7 March 2013. Westerford enjoys a prominent position in the local community, hosting visits from key figures within South Africa such as the then President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela and guest speakers such as former Minister of Education Kader Asmal .In 2009, Westerford High School was ranked by the Sunday Times newspaper as the top state school in South Africa and one of the largest feeder schools for the University of Cape Town.

Sans Souci Girls' High School is a Public English medium high school for girls situated in the suburb of Newlands in Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The school was established in 1960 and was decreed by the apartheid era South African government as whites only school. In 1991 the school opened enrollment to all races as a model B school.One of the school's former teacher’s Denise Frick, is a South African chess master and winner of the 2015 South African Woman's Closed Chess Championships.

It also hosts the Made in the Cape artisans market. The investment firm Old Mutual, through their subsidiary Old Mutual Property, are the current owners of Cavendish Square.

Keurboom Park is a park in Rondebosch, Cape Town, in South Africa. It borders the Western Province Sports Club and Rondebosch Boys' High School. It is named after the original Keurboom estate. The keurboom is an indigenous tree. The park hosted the 2012 African Cross Country Championships with races ranging from 6 to 12 km (3.7 to 7.5 mi).

Rondebosch Boys' High School is a public English medium high school for boys situated in the suburb of Rondebosch in Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is one of the topmost academic schools in South Africa and one of the oldest schools in the country, having been established in 1897. Rondebosch is the only school in the Western Cape to have a Nobel Prize laureate, Allan M. Cormack in Physiology and Medicine.

The South African College Schools (colloquially often known as “SACS”) is a public English medium primary and high education institution situated in Newlands - part of the Southern Suburbs region of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Founded in 1829, it is believed by its scholars and old boys to be the oldest school in South Africa, however, there are several other schools that were founded at earlier dates as far back as 1738.SACS is one of four schools expressly endowed by Cecil John Rhodes to offer an annual Rhodes Scholarship to one of their graduating students.
