Greenwood Memorial Park is a cemetery located on unincorporated land surrounded by the city of San Diego at 4300 Imperial Avenue in San Diego County, California. The cemetery is adjacent to Mount Hope Cemetery. Opened in 1907, Greenwood covers approximately 125 acres (0.51 km2) five miles east of Downtown San Diego. The cemetery is an example of a rural cemetery, incorporating architecture, art, and landscaping into its design. Greenwood and its accompanying mortuary are now part of NorthStar Memorial Group (NSMP).

San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) is a public, noncredit educational institution in San Diego, California. It is part of the San Diego Community College District along with three two-year community colleges: San Diego City, San Diego Mesa and San Diego Miramar colleges. SDCCE is administered by the San Diego Community College District and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. SDCCE is the nation's largest separately-accredited noncredit continuing education institution. SDCCE offers noncredit career technical education; adult basic education and basic college preparation; life enrichment programs; general interest fee-based community education classes; and customized contract training classes designed for the business sector. Continuing Education serves approximately 40,000 students per year through its seven campuses: CE at Mesa College, CE at Miramar College, César E. Chávez, the Educational Cultural Complex (ECC), Mid-City, North City and West City; it also conducts programming at various other off-campus sites throughout San Diego. SDCCE is diverse: it is co-educational, multi-generational and multi-ethnic. It has a semester-based academic calendar with an added summer session as a regular part of its offerings.

KURS (1040 kHz) is an AM radio station broadcasting a Spanish-language Catholic radio format. The station is licensed to San Diego, California and is owned by El Sembrador Ministries. KURS is an affiliate of ESNE Radio. ESNE had been heard for five years in the San Diego area at its former home on KNSN 1240 AM from 2009 to September 29, 2014, when Donald Crawford's Crawford Broadcasting and its licensee Kiertron, Inc. purchased KNSN. Prior to becoming a ESNE Radio station, KURS had broadcast a Gospel Music format. 1040 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WHO in Des Moines, Iowa, so KURS must restrict its power to 360 watts by day, and 61 watts at night.

KNSN (1240 AM) is a radio station licensed to San Diego, California, United States. The station is owned by Crawford Broadcasting, through licensee Kiertron, Inc. It airs a brokered Christian radio format, mostly simulcast with co-owned KBRT (740 AM) in Costa Mesa. Programs include half-hour weekday shows from Charles Stanley, Joyce Meyer and David Jeremiah. Studios for KBRT and KNSN are on Airway Avenue in Costa Mesa.KNSN transmits with a power of 550 watts, day and night, with its transmitter off Newton Avenue in San Diego, at the intersection of Route 15 and Interstate 5. KNSN shares the tower with KURS (1040 AM). Programming on KNSN is also heard on 15-watt FM translator station K277DG at 103.3 MHz in San Diego.

32nd & Commercial is a station on the Orange Line of the San Diego Trolley located in the Stockton neighborhood of San Diego, California. The stop is located in an area where the light rail temporarily breaks from its street-level tracks and runs on a separate right-of-way around the Mt. Hope and Greenwood Cemeteries.

Stockton is an urban neighborhood in central San Diego, California bordered by Golden Hill to the north, Mountain View and Mt. Hope to the east, Grant Hill to the west, and Logan Heights to the south. I-15 forms the eastern boundary. It is part of the Southeastern Planning Area.This area is named after Robert Field Stockton (1795–1866), a United States Navy commodore, active in the capture of California during the Mexican–American War. He was a naval innovator and an early advocate for a propeller-driven, steam-powered navy. Stockton was from a notable political family and also served as a U.S. Senator from New Jersey. There was previously a Stockton Elementary, now renamed King-Chavez Academy Tk-5th.

Shelltown is a neighborhood located within Southeast San Diego, approximately 5 minutes from downtown San Diego by car and 25 minutes by bicycle. It is bordered by National City on the south, Interstate 5 and Barrio Logan on the west, 43rd Avenue (a continuation of Highland Avenue) on the east, and Gamma Court and the neighborhood of Southcrest on the north. Prior to the 1980s the northern border of Shelltown was National Ave and many residents still consider that the northern border.Due to the predominance of shells in the sandy soil, the neighborhood became known as "Shelltown." Located on a plateau just north and east of the 32nd Street Naval Station, Shelltown was a favorite location of housing for many of the early naval officers. Their ships were visible from their homes and were only moments away in the event they were called to duty The majority of Shelltown consists of residential homes built between 1920 and 1969. The Naval Base San Diego, an industrial park, and some commercial buildings are located just outside the western border of Shelltown along Main Street. Mexican Americans have a long history in the area and began living in the area as early as the 1910s. With the great influx of Filipino immigrants joining the United States Navy, especially from the Vietnam War era on to the 1990s, many Filipinos inhabited the Southeast San Diego neighborhoods of Alta Vista, Bay Terraces, Paradise Hills, Shelltown, Skyline Hills, and Valencia Park, both for the relatively affordable housing prices and its close proximity to Naval Base San Diego.Shelltown/Southcrest contains a large mural, which is one of three by several artists that were done near three Southeast San Diego neighborhood entrances. Local activist and muralist Mario Torero was the lead artist for the Alpha Street piece.San Diego’s Southcrest Trails Park is located just north of the Shelltown neighborhood within the Chollas Creek floodplain, part of the smallest watershed in San Diego and containing the highest population density. The Park itself is located south of Boston Avenue and west of South 38th Street. The park was scheduled to be completed in December 2012 An upgrade to the park was started in March 2017 and was completed on Spring of 2018.

Memorial is an urban neighborhood in the southeastern area of San Diego, California. It is generally bounded by Imperial Avenue to the north, California State Route 15 to the east, Interstate 5 to the south, and 28th Street to the west. Major thoroughfares in the neighborhood include Commercial Street, Oceanview Boulevard, and National Avenue. The San Diego Trolley runs through the area. Chollas Creek flows through the eastern edge of the neighborhood. Neighboring communities include Logan Heights to the west, Grant Hill and Stockton to the north, Mountain View to the east, and Barrio Logan to the south. Memorial is one of San Diego's oldest neighborhoods, with development beginning around 1850, although few structures from that time remain intact. The neighborhood holds a mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational uses. Memorial Park is located within the boundaries of the neighborhood, which is known for a mural dedicated to peace, with the faces of Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, and Mahatma Gandhi.Memorial is located within San Diego Unified School District, and is home to Memorial Junior High School and Logan Elementary School.
