Peille (French pronunciation: [pɛj]; Occitan: Pelha; Italian: Peglio Marittimo) is a commune perched on a rock between Monaco and Menton in the Alpes Maritimes department in southeastern France. It overlooks the River Peillon. Higher still than the village are the ruins of a château dating from the thirteenth century. Peille includes the quartiers of La Grave de Peille, where the cement works of VICAT is located, Paravieille, Gaudissart, St. Martin de Peille, La Paran, Les Lacs, Colletta Soubrana de la Grava, Colletta Soutrana de la Grava. Peille borders Blausasc, Peillon, and La Turbie. It is thought the area was once home to a little-known Ligurian tribe the Oratelli of Peille Today the village is notable for its narrow streets, small squares, and architecture dating to the Medieval period. Examples of this architecture include the remnants of the village fortifications, the 14th century courthouse known as the "Palais des Consuls". On the very edge of the cliff face is a large building known as the "Palais des Lascaris" this too dates from the fourteenth century. The village has a twelfth-century church in the Romanesque style with ancient frescos decorating its interior.

Mont Agel is a mountain in the Maritime Alps on the border between France and Monaco. The summit of this mount, at 1,148 metres (3,766 ft) above sea level, is on the French side, but the highest point of Monaco, lying on a pathway named Chemin des Révoires, is on its slopes, at an altitude of 161 metres (528 feet).

Nice Air Base (Base Aérienne 943 Nice "Capitaine Auber") of the French Air Force is divided between two sites: one at the summit of Mont Agel near Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes département, and the other at Gardanne barracks in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. The Mont Agel base uses the facilities of the former Ouvrage Mont Agel of the Alpine Line. Its mission is the surveillance of aviation movements in southeastern France, operating as Centre de Détection et de Contrôle (CDC) 05.943, tactical call sign “Rhodia radar”. A similar facility is located at Drachenbronn Air Base in northeastern France. The Gardanne base houses administrative functions and personnel housing in a former Chasseur Alpins barracks.BA943 is responsible for the identification of all aircraft in its zone of responsibility, and for the coordination of military air traffic in the southeastern airspace of France. The facility has the capacity to interact with E-3F and E-2C airborne control aircraft. It is equipped with a 23 cm two-dimensional search radar and a three-dimensional "PALMIER" radar on the site. Data is integrated by a VISU IV system.

It is the highest village in the area, perched 800 metres above the level of the Mediterranean Sea. It was included on the list of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (The Most Beautiful Villages of France) in 1997.

Blausasc (French pronunciation: [blozask]; Italian: Blausasco) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France.

The Odeon Tower (French: Tour Odéon) is a double-skyscraper in the Principality of Monaco. It was the first high-rise in the city-state to be built since the 1980s (high constructions had been abandoned due to aesthetic concerns and criticism of overdevelopment). At 170 metres high, Tour Odeon on its completion was the second tallest building on Europe's Mediterranean coast, after Gran Hotel Bali (186m) in Benidorm, Spain. Had Tour Odeon been built in neighboring France, it would have been among that country's 10 highest buildings. This project from Groupe Marzocco was considered by some to be an important renewal of economic development for the second-smallest country in the world. Its construction was launched in the middle of the economic crisis, in 2009. The building was inaugurated in April 2015.

Monte Carlo Country Club (MCCC) is a tennis club in the commune of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. It is the home of the ATP Tour's Monte Carlo Masters tournament. It is also the base of the Monte Carlo Tennis Academy. Despite the club's name, it is not located in Monte Carlo or even in Monaco, but just 150 meters outside the Monaco's northeastern border.

The Monte-Carlo Masters (also known as the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters for sponsorship reasons) is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France, which borders on Monaco. It is played on clay courts at the Monte Carlo Country Club and is held in May. The tournament is part of the nine ATP Tour Masters 1000 events on the ATP Tour. Rafael Nadal has won the men's singles title a record eleven times. The event was founded in 1896 as the Monte-Carlo International. The following year the event officially became known as the Monte-Carlo Championships, also known as the Monte Carlo International Championships, which was a combined men's and women's tournament until 1982 when the women's championships ceased.
