The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, also known as Communipaw Terminal and Jersey City Terminal, was the Central Railroad of New Jersey's waterfront passenger terminal in Jersey City, New Jersey. The terminal was built in 1889, replacing an earlier one that had been in use since 1864. It operated until April 30, 1967.It also serviced the Central Railroad of New Jersey-operated Reading Railroad, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and the Lehigh Valley Railroad during various periods in its 78 years of operation.The terminal was one of five passenger railroad terminals that lined the Hudson Waterfront during the 19th and 20th centuries, the others being Weehawken, Hoboken, Pavonia and Exchange Place, with Hoboken being the only station that is still in use, as of 2021. The headhouse was renovated and incorporated into Liberty State Park. The station has been listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and National Register of Historic Places since September 12, 1975. Additionally it is a New Jersey State Historic Site.

The Colgate Clock is an octagonal clock facing the Hudson River near Exchange Place in Jersey City, New Jersey. It has a diameter of 50 feet (15 m). It is currently situated 1,300 feet (400 m) south of where the headquarters of consumer products conglomerate Colgate-Palmolive used to be sited, before it left the area in 1985.

30 Hudson Street, also known as Goldman Sachs Tower, is a 781 ft (238 m), 42-story building in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the second tallest building in New Jersey. Completed in 2004, the tower was designed by César Pelli, and was the tallest building in the state for 14 years. It houses offices, a cafeteria, a health unit, and a full-service fitness facility including a physical therapy clinic. The building is in the Exchange Place area close to a PATH station and is accessible by the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail at the Essex Street and Exchange Place stops. The tower sits on the waterfront overlooking the Hudson River and Lower Manhattan and is visible from all five of the New York City boroughs. On a clear day, the building may be visible from Highlands, New Jersey to the south and from Bear Mountain, New York to the north, 40 miles (64 km) away. Originally intended to be a dedicated use building for Goldman Sachs' middle and back office units, lower than projected staffing levels at the bank following the global financial crisis forced Goldman to seek occupancy from other tenants to avoid forgone rental income. Royal Bank of Canada currently shares the space, with plans for other professional service firms to take occupancy as well in the near future. Since 2020, the building also houses the headquarters of Organon International., AIG & Lord Abbett

Essex Street is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) located between Hudson and Greene Streets in Jersey City, New Jersey. There are two tracks and two side platforms. The station opened on April 22, 2000. Northbound service from the station is available to Hoboken Terminal and Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial in Jersey City, New Jersey is located on the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway in Paulus Hook in the Morris Canal section of Liberty State Park. It pays tribute to the Hudson County residents who died during the Korean War. Originally installed in 2002, it was renovated and completed 2015.The memorial is based on the winning design of a competition initiated by the Stevens Institute of Technology’s Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. It was crafted from imported Indian black granite. Within the center of the monument is a sculpture of two soldiers, an injured man being supported by a comrade, and three obelisks supporting flagstaffs inscribed with the 126 names of soldiers from Hudson County killed in the war. They are surrounded by two semi-circular walls with eighteen engraved depictions of the war.The original project cost about $500,000 and was funded by donations by various groups and collection efforts by the Hudson County veterans, with about $300,000 from Jersey City corporations. The City of Jersey City donated about $70,000 and the City of Bayonne about $10,000. Local unions and contractors donated the rest in material and labor.The memorial had been vandalized in 2014 but was restored and completed in 2015 with a funds donated by the city and a contribution of $100,000 from the city of Uijeongbu in Korea.

The Liberty Towers or Liberty View Towers, is an apartment complex in Jersey City, New Jersey. It consists of Liberty Towers West, and Liberty Towers East, both of which were constructed from 2001 to 2003 and have 36 floors. They also have the same height of 380 ft (120 m). The buildings rise from the same podium (base), which is used for parking and also contains a lobby. On top of the podium is a deck with leisure facilities for the tenants. The complex has 648 residential units. They were designed by architect Jordan Gruzen.The S. A. Wald Company Building was demolished to make way for Liberty Towers, which were originally called "Liberty View Towers". The postmodern buildings are made out of masonry, glass, and concrete.The building is part of a building boom in Jersey City's decayed railroad, warehouse and waterfront district, which is being redeveloped as large towers complex. It is in the middle of the reconstructed downtown and has access to trains.

The Battle of Paulus Hook was fought on August 19, 1779 between Continental Army and British forces in the American Revolutionary War. The Patriots were led by Major Light Horse Harry Lee, and launched a nighttime raid on the British-controlled fort in what is today downtown Jersey City. They surprised the British, taking 158 prisoners, and withdrew with the approach of daylight. Despite retaining the fort and its cannons, the British lost much of their control over New Jersey. Lee was rewarded by the Second Continental Congress with a gold medal, the only non-general to receive such an award during the war.

Hudson Greene is an apartment complex in Jersey City, New Jersey which consists two towers, the East Tower at 77 Hudson Street, which are condominiums, and the West Tower at 70 Greene Street, which are rental apartments. Both have 48 floors and are 500 ft (152m) tall. Construction on the towers began on June 25, 2006, and was completed in 2009 (77 Hudson) and 2010 (70 Greene). The East Tower at 77 Hudson Street has 420 residences and 19,000 square feet (1,800 m2) of street-level retail space. The building was designed by the architectural firm CetraRuddy.Building construction was beset with several problems. A fire on the West Tower in October 2007 delayed construction. Fighting the fire proved difficult due to the stage of construction and status of floors and standpipes. Five months later, in March 2008, a construction worker fell 14 floors to his death.The building is part of a larger building boom in Jersey City's decayed railroad, warehouse and waterfront district which is being rebuilt as large towers like this. It has been described as "one of the most handsome in Jersey City thanks to its blue glass facades, gentle angles and balcony projections on its lower sections." It won several awards including: 2009 NJ Golden Trowel Awards – Masonry Award 2009 NY Residential Magazine – Top NJ Project 2011 Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Best Tall Buildings – Honorable Mention

The Jersey City 9/11 Memorial is located on the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway at the foot of Grand Street in Paulus Hook near Exchange Place in Jersey City, New Jersey. It comprises three components: a sculpture of steel girders from the original World Trader Center, an inscribed black granite stele, and Makeshift Memorial. The site on the Hudson Waterfront opposite the World Trade Center site was a triage set up during the '9/11 boatlift' and thereafter became a staging area for rescue operations.

Light Horse Tavern is a restaurant located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Restored from an 1850s tavern, the building served as a speakeasy during Prohibition in the United States. Founders Bill Gray and Ron Smith named the restaurant after Henry Lee III, known as "Light Horse Harry", a historical figure from the American Revolution. Its first chef was Ian Topper-Kapitan; he was replaced in 2007 by Marcos Costas. Reception of the restaurant included multiple favorable reviews in The Jersey Journal, the New Jersey section of The New York Times, and New Jersey Monthly.

99 Hudson is a 79-story condominium in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the tallest building in Jersey City and the state of New Jersey, and the 46th tallest building in the United States. It is also the tallest residential building in the United States outside of Manhattan and Chicago. Developed by China Overseas America (the U.S. arm of the Hong Kong-based company COHL), 99 Hudson is the first residential project in the U.S. for the firm. The 1.4 million square-foot building will include 781 condominium units ranging from studios to three bedrooms.

Exchange Place is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) located at Hudson Street, between York and Montgomery Streets, in Jersey City, New Jersey. The station opened on April 22, 2000. There are two tracks, an island platform and a side platform that only serves northbound trains. The station is adjacent to the PATH station of the same name. In 2017, the platforms at the station were extended by 25 feet (7.6 m) to their current length of 190 feet (58 m). The work was done to accommodate new "extended" cars that were introduced to ease overcrowding during peak periods of ridership.
