Sir Johns Run, West Virginia

Sir Johns Run is an 8.9-mile-long (14.3 km) tributary stream of the Potomac River in Morgan County, West Virginia. For most of its course, Sir Johns Run is a shallow non-navigable stream. It rises on the eastern flanks of Cacapon Mountain and from its source, flows north with Cacapon Mountain to its west and Warm Spring Ridge to its east. During its flow northward through the valley, Sir Johns Run is joined by a number of smaller spring-fed streams. Sir Johns Run empties into the Potomac River at the small community of the same name, Sir Johns Run. The stream takes its name from Sir John St. Clair, a deputy quartermaster present during General Edward Braddock's expedition through the area during the French and Indian War. Steamboat inventor James Rumsey operated a mill on Sir Johns Run in the late 18th century. Rumsey and his brother-in-law, Joseph Barnes, tested a steamboat at the mouth of the stream.

Widmeyer Wildlife Management Area, is located about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Great Cacapon, West Virginia in Morgan County. Widmeyer WMA is located on 422 acres (171 ha) of upland hills above the Potomac River.The WMA is accessed from Bennett Lane off Cacapon Road (WV Route 9) between Great Cacapon and Berkeley Springs.

The Western Maryland Rail Trail (WMRT) is a 28-mile (45 km) shared-use rail trail in the U.S. state of Maryland that follows the former right-of-way of the Western Maryland Railway (WM) between Fort Frederick State Park and Little Orleans via Hancock, paralleling the C&O Canal and Potomac River. The asphalt-paved trail is suitable for walking, jogging, biking, rollerblading, country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Berkeley Springs station is a historic railway depot located at Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia. The depot is a one-story, rectangular red brick building with a bell-cast, red tile roof and measures approximately 80 feet long by 20 feet wide. It features Mission Revival style details.

Morgan County Courthouse was a historic courthouse building located at Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia. It was built in 1907 and was a two-story, three-bay, building constructed of yellow brick with limestone accents in the Neoclassical style. It featured a centered, octagonal clock tower that extended above the second story flat roof and dominated the main elevation. Also on the property are an annex (c. 1920) and former jail (1939). The courthouse building was damaged by fire in 2006 and was subsequently demolished.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Jimtown is an unincorporated community in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Because of its proximity to the north of the Town of Bath (Berkeley Springs) limits, Jimtown is generally considered a neighborhood of Berkeley Springs. The community is also referred to as Jimstown.

Clarence Hovermale House, also known as Hovermale-Mendenhall House and most recently the Mendenhall 1884 Inn, is a historic home located at Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia. It was built in 1884, and is a two-story, brick Queen Anne style dwelling that follows a modified, ell-shaped "I"-house plan. Also on the property is a shed, built about 1860.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. It is located within the Town of Bath Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Samuel Taylor Suit Cottage, also known as the Berkeley Castle or Berkeley Springs Castle, is located on a hill above Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, United States.

North Berkeley is an unincorporated community in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The community lies between the Town of Bath (Berkeley Springs) limits and Jimtown. Like Jimtown, North Berkeley does not lie within the limits of Berkeley Springs proper, but it is generally considered a neighborhood of the town. The community is the site of the North Berkeley Primary School.

Berkeley Springs State Park is situated in the center of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, USA. The centerpiece of the Park is its historic mineral spa. These waters were celebrated for their medicinal or restorative powers and were generally taken internally for digestive disorders, or bathed in for stress relief. Native peoples visited these springs as did George Washington. Berkeley Springs is the only state-run spa in the United States and is operated by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.

Town of Bath Historic District is a national historic district located at Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 218 contributing buildings, 3 contributing sites, 6 contributing structures, and 1 contributing object. It consists of the community's central business district, along with the previously listed Berkeley Springs State Park, a small industrial area east of the downtown, and residential areas surrounding the downtown which also contain several churches and two cemeteries. The buildings are generally two stories in height and are primarily built of brick, wood, and concrete block, and set on foundations of native limestone and brick. Located within the district boundaries are the previously listed Berkeley Springs Train Depot, T. H. B. Dawson House, the Clarence Hovermale House also known as the Mendenhall 1884 Inn, the Sloat-Horn-Rossell House, and the Judge John W. Wright Cottage.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Sloat-Horn-Rossell House, also known as "The Manor," is a historic home located at Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia. It was built in 1879, and is a large two-story Second Empire style dwelling with board-and-batten siding. It is roughly "L" shaped consisting of a roughly square main unit and a smaller rectangular kitchen and servant quarter extension.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located within the Town of Bath Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
