The Holland Downtown Historic District is a commercial historic district located along Eighth Street from just east of College Avenue to River Avenue, and along and River Avenue from Ninth Street to just north of Eighth Street in Holland, Michigan. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Holland Old City Hall and Fire Station is a former government building located at 108 East 8th Street in Holland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Holland Reformed Protestant Dutch Church, now known as the Pillar Church, is a religious structure located at 57 East 10th Street in Holland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Holland is a city in the western region of the Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is situated near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan on Lake Macatawa, which is fed by the Macatawa River (formerly known locally as the Black River). Holland is a thriving city with a diverse economy that includes manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, and higher education. It is home to a number of prominent companies, including Herman Miller, Haworth, and Johnson Controls. The city also attracts thousands of visitors each year for its annual Tulip Time Festival, which celebrates the area's Dutch heritage and vibrant tulip fields. The city spans the Ottawa/Allegan county line, with 9.08 sq mi (23.52 km2) in Ottawa and the remaining 8.13 sq mi (21.06 km2) in Allegan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 33,051, with an urbanized area population of 113,164, as of 2015. Holland is the largest city in both Ottawa and Allegan counties. The Ottawa County portion is part of the Grand Rapids-Kentwood Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Allegan County portion is part of the Holland Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is coextensive with Allegan County. As of 2013, both areas are part of the Grand Rapids–Kentwood–Muskegon Combined Statistical Area. Holland was founded by Dutch Americans, and is in an area that has a large percentage of citizens of Dutch American heritage. It is home to Hope College and Western Theological Seminary, institutions of the Reformed Church in North America.

Hope College is a private Christian liberal arts college in Holland, Michigan. It was originally opened in 1851 as the Pioneer School by Dutch immigrants four years after the community was first settled. The first freshman college class matriculated in 1862 and Hope received its state charter in 1866. Hope College is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America and retains a Christian atmosphere. Its 120 acres (0.19 sq mi) campus is adjacent to the downtown commercial district and has been shared with Western Theological Seminary since 1884. The Hope College campus, considered uniquely beautiful by many, is located near the eastern shores of Lake Michigan and is 2.5 hours away from two major cities in Chicago and Detroit.

The Holland Civic Center Place is a 2,000-seat multi-purpose event center located in Holland, Michigan, United States. It hosts local sporting events, recreation programming, public expos and concerts/live entertainment. The venue can also be rented for private events such as corporate luncheons, wedding receptions, expos/tradeshows, and many other uses.

Western Theological Seminary (WTS) is a private seminary located in Holland, Michigan. Established in 1866, it is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, a mainline Reformed Protestant denomination in Canada and the United States. The seminary offers professional and graduate degree programs for candidates for ministry, and to those pursuing careers in academia or non-theological fields. It was established to fill a need for theological education on the (then) western frontier of the Reformed Church in America. In its theological identity, Western Theological Seminary is evangelical, ecumenical and Reformed. Western Theological Seminary prepares students for ministry often involving ordination as well as for further graduate study, chaplaincy, missions, youth ministry, social service ministry, etc.

Holland station, also known as the Padnos Transportation Center, is an intermodal transit station in Holland, Michigan. It serves Amtrak's Pere Marquette line and is the central hub for Macatawa Area Express (MAX) buses. The facility includes a ticket machine and a waiting room.

The Holland Historic District is a primarily residential historic district in Holland, Michigan. It includes buildings along 11th, 12th, and 13th Streets from roughly Washington Boulevard on the west to College Avenue on the east, along with buildings on 14th Street from Pine Avenue on the west to just past College Avenue on the east, and buildings on 15th Street from Pine Avenue to River Avenue. The original portion of the district, on 11th, 12th, and 13th Streets between Washington Boulevard and Pine Avenue, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The remainder of the district was listed on the Register in 1990.

Windmill Island Gardens is a municipal park located in the city of Holland, Michigan. It is home to the 251-year-old windmill De Zwaan, the only authentic, working Dutch windmill in the United States.

De Zwaan is an authentic Dutch windmill in the city of Holland, Michigan. The windmill's name is Dutch for The Swan or Graceful Bird. It is the oldest authentic, working Dutch windmill in the United States. De Zwaan is located in Windmill Island municipal park.
