The Königsallee (German pronunciation: [ˈkøːnɪçsʔaˌleː] (listen); literally "King's Avenue") is an urban boulevard in Düsseldorf, state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The Königsallee is noted for both the landscaped canal that runs along its center, as well as for the fashion showrooms and luxury retail stores located along its sides. Nicknamed Kö (German pronunciation: [køː] (listen)) by locals, the Königsallee is one of Germany's busiest upscale shopping streets.

St John's Church (German: Johanneskirche), with its almost 88 m high tower, is the largest Protestant church in Düsseldorf. It is located at the Martin-Luther-Platz. The church was built from 1875 to 1881 in the Romanesque Revival style. It was severely damaged in World War II, but was saved from destruction and in 1953 it was reopened. The last major remodeling took place in 2008. There is a cafe through which one enters the actual church.

Now owning 99.33% of the HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG, HSBC is planning on squeezing out the remaining investors. HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG is a German Stock Corporation, managed by a five-member Management Board. In 2014, HSBC generated a pre-tax profit of €213.6m in Germany. With a Fitch-Rating of AA- (Stable) as part of the HSBC Group, HSBC is the best rated private bank in Germany.

Schadowstraße is a shopping street in Düsseldorf, Germany, located in the districts of Stadtmitte and Pempelfort. The street cuts through downtown Düsseldorf, starting at Königsallee, passing the Tausendfüßler and reaching up to Berliner Allee. Schadowstraße is named after the German Romantic painter Wilhelm von Schadow. The Western section towards Königsallee is a pedestrian zone and has some landmark buildings, such as the Schadow Arkaden, a shopping mall designed by German architect Walter Brune in 1994, and the Peek & Cloppenburg flagship store, designed by American architect Richard Meier in 2001. A new underground station named "Schadowstraße" is currently under construction at the junction with Berliner Allee and scheduled to open in 2014. It is one of the most frequented shopping streets in Düsseldorf.

Wilhelm Marx House (Wilhelm-Marx-Haus) is a historical high-rise building in the central district of Düsseldorf in Germany. It was one of the first highrise buildings in Germany. Wilhelm Marx House was finished in 1924 (beginning of the construction was in 1922) and was one of the first skyscrapers in Europe. It is 57 meters high and has 13 floors above ground level. The architect was Wilhelm Kreis. It was named after Wilhelm Marx, who was mayor of Düsseldorf in the early 20th century and started a programme for the modernisation of the city in that time. This Wilhelm Marx is not the same person as the German Chancellor Wilhelm Marx. The building was renovated in the 1990s. Wilhelm Marx House was previously home of the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange and presently includes a theatre, called "JuTA" ("Junges Theater in der Altstadt", or "Young Theatre in the Old Town").

The Dreischeibenhaus (also known as the Dreischeibenhochhaus) is a 95-metre office building in August-Thyssen-Straße in the Hofgarten district of the Düsseldorf city centre. It was also known as the Thyssenhaus or Thyssen-Hochhaus owing to its former use as the headquarters of the Thyssen and ThyssenKrupp groups. It is among the most significant examples of post-war modernist International style and a symbol of the so-called Wirtschaftswunder, or 'economic miracle' of post-war Germany, and contrasts with the neighbouring Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus on Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz. Dreischeibenhaus, The "Three Plates Building" (a rough translation of its name in German), was one of the first skyscrapers to be completed in Germany after WW2.In the early 1990s the building was completely refurbished including a new curtain wall matching the appearance of the original, but with improved thermal performance and moisture control.After another complete renovation under the direction of Düsseldorf HPP Architects in 2013, the skyscraper now offers 35,000 m2 of gross floor area.

With 700 employees at its head office, Targobank is one of the larger banking employers in the Düsseldorf financial center. In Duisburg, the bank runs a customer center with 2,000 employees. In addition, there are administrative buildings in Mainz (factoring) and Düsseldorf (leasing & investment financing). Since 2008 it is part of the French Crédit Mutuel Alliance Féderale Bank Group. Before the bank was part of the American Citigroup which in 2010 became Citibank Privatkunden AG & Co. KGaA and until 1991 it had been active under the name Kundenkreditbank.
