Mount Carmel Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery located within the Cemetery Belt in Queens, New York City that opened in 1906. The main section is in Glendale, Queens, and has more than 85,000 occupied plots. A new section was opened in nearby Ridgewood.

75th Avenue–61st Street Historic District is a national historic district in Glendale, Queens, New York. It includes 183 contributing buildings built between 1910 and 1925. They consist mainly of two story brick row houses with one apartment per floor. Building features include round and box front dwellings, cast stone detailing, brownstone stoops, pressed metal cornices, and covered porches.It includes the following addresses: 60th Lane 75-02 to 75-50 75-01 to 75-49 61st St 72-28 to 72-72 72-31 to 72-69 75-02 to 75-50 75-01 to 75-49 62nd St 75-02 to 75-34 75-15 to 75-29 74-18 to 74-46The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Machpelah Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery located within the Cemetery Belt in Glendale, Queens, in the U.S. state of New York. It was established around 1855. In addition to managing the 6-acre (2.4 ha) cemetery, the former Machpelah Cemetery Association also managed the adjacent Union Field Cemetery, New Union Field Cemetery and Hungarian Union Field Cemetery. Machpelah Cemetery was abandoned by the late 1980s. The deteriorating entrance building was demolished in 2013.It is accessible by the New York City Subway's J train via the Cypress Hills station and the B13 New York City Bus.

They consist mainly of two story brick row houses with one apartment per floor. Buildings feature alternating yellow, amber, brown and burnt orange speckled brick and cast stone detailing in the Romanesque Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Mafera Park (officially Joseph F. Mafera Park) is a park in Queens, New York City, United States. It is approximately 5.4 acres (0.022 km2) in size, located adjacent to the New York City Subway's Fresh Pond Yard and close to the Fresh Pond Junction between the Long Island Rail Road's Bay Ridge and Lower Montauk branches. It has facilities for baseball, basketball, roller hockey, and handball. The park is named after Ridgewood resident Joseph F. Mafera; when Mafera died in 1967, the park was renamed by law in his honor. The City of New York purchased the land in 1948, and on June 28, 1949, a groundbreaking ceremony was held, featuring New York City mayor William O'Dwyer, Queens Borough President James A. Burke, and Commissioner of Parks and Recreation Robert Moses.Mafera Park was also known as Farmers' Oval due to the park's history hosting the semi-professional Glendale Farmers Base Ball Club for almost 50 years, from the 1900s until the 1950s. In the late 1940s and early 1950s it was also briefly called Ridgewood Park and Glen Ridge Park, as the park is between Glendale and Ridgewood.It was renovated in the early 1990s, and a ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by mayor Rudy Giuliani, Queens Borough President Claire Shulman, and New York City parks commissioner Henry Stern on March 18, 1995.

They consist mainly of two-story, brick rowhouse dwellings with one apartment per floor. Buildings feature rounded bay front facades and the use of several shades of speckled brick.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The area was given landmark status by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2014.

Fresh Pond Junction is a freight yard in the Ridgewood and Glendale neighborhoods of Queens, New York City. It is operated by the New York & Atlantic Railway, which serves Long Island, New York using tracks owned by the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). The yard has been in operation since the early 20th century and is the primary rail freight yard on the island. Fresh Pond Junction connects to the mainland in two directions: North via the Hell Gate Bridge and the Oak Point Yard, providing interchanges with the CSX and Providence and Worcester railroads. Southwest via the Bay Ridge Branch to the New York New Jersey Rail's car float operation. Barges bring cars to Greenville Yard in New Jersey, where interchange is available to CSX and Norfolk Southern Railway using Conrail's North Jersey Shared Assets Area.The Fresh Pond Junction freight facility comprises two yards, west (5 tracks) and east (9 tracks), both of which parallel the NY&A Montauk Branch. There is also a wye and interchange tracks with the New York Connecting Railroad line (now CSX Fremont Secondary) which connects the Oak Point Yard to the Bay Ridge Branch as it passes over the yard. Nearby is Fresh Pond Yard, a separate and unconnected facility of the New York City Subway. Mafera Park, a small neighborhood park, is located at the southwestern corner of Fresh Pond Junction, bounded by the junction to the north and east and the Fresh Pond Yard to the west.

The Fresh Pond Road station is a station on the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, along Fresh Pond Road between 67th and Putnam Avenues in Ridgewood. The station is served by the M train at all times. The station opened in 1915 as part of the Dual Contracts.
