Rörsjöstaden

St. Paul's Church (Swedish: S:t Pauli kyrka) is a church located in the Rörsjöstaden neighbourhood of Malmö, Sweden. The church was designed in an Italian medieval brickwork style by Emil Victor Langlet, construction began in 1880 and the church opened on November 26, 1882.The church last underwent an almost two-year long renovation before reopening in March 2017.

Malmö Synagogue (Swedish: Malmö synagoga, Hebrew: בית הכנסת של מאלמו) is the only synagogue in Malmö, Sweden. It was built in 1903 and designed by the architect John Smedberg. It has an Art Nouveau and Moorish Revival design, which is one of the few synagogues in Europe when most of them were destroyed during Kristallnacht 1938. The services of worship are Orthodox. At the inauguration of Malmö Synagogue, it was Malmö's first non-Christian place of worship. Malmö has two Jewish cemeteries: one section in the northern part of Sankt Pauli kyrkogård and another, newer section in Östra kyrkogården. The synagogue attracts about 5,000 yearly visitors.

The Rooseum Center for Contemporary Art was a formally private-owned (though publicly funded) centre for contemporary art located in Malmö, Sweden. Founded in 1988 by the Swedish art collector and financier Fredrik Roos (1951-1991), Rooseum began as a traditional exhibition hall showing modern and contemporary art from the Nordic countries and internationally. Under the first director, Lars Nittve, it established an international reputation. With the arrival of Charles Esche in 2000, Rooseum promoted more experimental relationships between art, artists and audience, by offering exhibitions and commissions linked to seminars, discussions and relevant screenings. It became one of the main sites of the artistic discussion around 'New institutionalism'. Rooseum, which was housed in a former power station built in 1900 at Gasverksgatan 22, closed in 2006.The Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm (Moderna Museet) opened a satellite location, Moderna Museet Malmö, in the premises of the former Rooseum in 2009. The Moderna Museet Malmö exhibits both its collection and temporary contemporary art exhibitions.

Moderna Museet Malmö is a museum of modern and contemporary art located in Malmö, Sweden. It is a part of the state-owned Moderna Museet but has an independent exhibition programme. The museum was opened in December 2009. The main building of the museum originally held an electricity plant established in 1901. It was later transformed into an exhibition hall which housed the Rooseum Centre for Contemporary art between 1988 and 2006. Before Moderna Museet Malmö moved in, the interior was transformed again and a new annex was built.

Drottningtorget (English: Queen Square) is a major public square in central Malmö, Sweden. It lies between the main town square and Värnhem. The area dates back to at least the Middle Ages when the Adelgatan, one of the city's main streets, led to it and it became an important peasant trading centre. However, the modern square was added in the 1810s, when the old fortifications surrounding the town were removed. The square was named after the Swedish queen Frederica of Baden, while Gustav Adolf square was named after the Swedish king Gustav IV Adolf. The building on the square's north side was built in 1818. In 1900, it became the first covered market in Malmö. East and west of the square are houses from the 1890s and early 1900s, while the south side is flanked by an office building from the 1960s. Sometimes an organized flea market takes place on the square. The Red Cross have a building in the area.

Värnhem is a neighbourhood of Malmö, situated in the Borough of Centrum, Malmö Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden. The neighbourhood gives its name to Värnhemstorget, however the square is actually located in the adjacent neighbourhood Rörsjöstaden.

On 21 March 2022, a stabbing occurred at Malmö Latin School in Malmö, Sweden, in which 18-year-old Fabian Cederholm stabbed and killed two female teachers with an axe and knife before disarming himself, calling emergency services and being arrested by first responders. It is the second deadliest attack on a school in Swedish history, behind the Trollhättan school stabbing that was seven years prior in 2015, where three people were murdered.

The Malmö Concert Hall (Swedish: Malmö Konserthus) was a 1,200-seat concert hall located in Lugnet, a central neighbourhood in Malmö, Sweden. It was the home of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, before they moved to the newly built Malmö Live in 2015.The building now houses the Swedish Public Employment Service.
