The Eastchester–Dyre Avenue station (signed as simply Dyre Avenue) is the northern terminal station of the IRT Dyre Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, at Dyre Avenue and Light Street (one block south of East 233rd Street) in the Eastchester neighborhood of the Bronx. It is served by the 5 train at all times.

The Nativity of Our Blessed Lady is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 1510 East 233rd Street and the corner of Secor Avenue, Bronx, New York in the Eastchester neighborhood of the northern Bronx. The church was designed by Don Shepherd, a designer and not an architect. The AIA Guide to New York City described it as "a minor work but one which calls attention to itself because of its location and the rusted steel crucifix that dominates the corner of the site."

Saint Paul's Church National Historic Site is a United States National Historic Site located in Mount Vernon, New York, just north of the New York City borough of The Bronx. The site was authorized in 1978 to protect Saint Paul's Church from increasing industrialization of the surrounding area. Saint Paul's Church is one of New York's oldest parishes and was used as a military hospital after the American Revolutionary War Battle of Pell's Point in 1776. The 5-acre (20,000 m2) cemetery surrounding the church is also within the historic site and contains an estimated 9,000 burials dating from 1704.

Seton Falls Park is a 36-acre (15 ha) wooded area in the Edenwald area of The Bronx in New York City. The park is named after the Seton family (of which Elizabeth Ann Seton was a member), who owned the land in the 19th century.Seton Falls Park is located southeast of the intersection of East 233rd Street and Baychester Avenue. It contains a playground and athletic fields, as well as the only above-ground section of a small creek called Rattlesnake Brook. Due to its seclusion, the park site has been used for dumping in the past, and several corpses have been left there. Seton Falls Park's site was occupied by the Siwanoy tribe of Native Americans prior to European settlement in the 17th century. The land was later owned by several individuals, including a Roosevelt family ancestor, before being passed to the Seton family via marriage. The Seton family estate and surrounding area was annexed by New York City in 1894, and the city acquired land on the site in 1914, officially designating it as a parkland in 1930. The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks) subsequently added recreational facilities to Seton Falls Park. After a period of disrepair in the late 20th century, Seton Falls Park was restored.

Eastchester is a working-class neighborhood in the northeast Bronx in New York City. Its boundaries, starting from the north and moving clockwise are the Bronx-Westchester County border to the north, the New England Thruway to the east, Baychester Avenue to the south, and the intersection of 233rd Street and Baychester Avenue to the west. Boston Road is the primary thoroughfare through Eastchester and Dyre Avenue is the main commercial street. Eastchester includes the sub-neighborhood of Edenwald. Eastchester is part of Bronx Community Board 12, and its ZIP Codes include 10466 and 10475. The area is patrolled by the 47th Precinct of the New York City Police Department.

Rattlesnake Creek (Rattlesnake Brook in some sources) is an underground waterway in the northeast Bronx, New York City. It flowed above ground level until the mid-20th century, with a waterfall and a pond over its course. Rattlesnake Creek has since been mostly covered over, but a small portion of it is still visible in Seton Falls Park.

John Philip Sousa Junior High School (also known as JHS 142, MS 142 and John Philip Sousa Middle School) was a middle school located on Baychester Avenue, across the street from Cardinal Spellman High School, in the Edenwald section of the Bronx in New York City, adjacent to Seton Falls Park. The school was named after John Philip Sousa and opened in 1958 or 1959. The school celebrated its golden jubilee in December 2008. After the school's closing in 2015, JHS 142's building became an educational campus.

Edgewood House is an historic school building located at Pelham Manor, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1893 and is a 3+1⁄2-story, wood and masonry building in the Colonial Revival style. It is composed of a wide central gable roofed pavilion, flanked by flat-roofed wings of balanced proportions. It features deep porches and a large semi-elliptical bay window. It was once associated with Mrs. Hazen's School (1889-1915) and is representative of a turn-of-the-century academic building. The building once housed reception areas, classrooms, a gymnasium, dormitories, and staff quarters. It has been converted to apartments.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Givans Creek Woods is a 10.73-acre (4.34 ha) wooded area near Co-op City in The Bronx, New York City.

Trinity Episcopal Church Complex is a historic Episcopal church complex at 335 Fourth Avenue in Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York. It is two blocks south of its mother church, Saint Paul's Church. The complex consists of the church (1859), old parish hall (1892), new parish hall (1909; 1954), and rectory (1893). The church, old parish hall, and new parish hall are connected to form an "L" shaped building. The church was designed by Henry Dudley and built in the Gothic Revival style and enlarged and substantially redecorated in the 1880s. It is a one-story masonry structure with a steeply pitched, slate covered gable roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. The church closed in 2016.

Cardinal Spellman High School is a Roman Catholic high school in the borough of the Bronx in New York City. The school is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is named after Cardinal Francis Spellman, the sixth archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York.

Mount Saint Michael Academy is an all-boys Roman Catholic high school in the Wakefield neighborhood of the New York City borough of the Bronx. The school's campus also borders the city of Mount Vernon in neighboring Westchester County and is administered by the Archdiocese of New York. The school opened on September 13, 1926, originally staffed by fourteen Marist Brothers, and dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. The U.S. Department of Education named it a National Blue Ribbon School in 1992.
