Traver House

The New York State Sheep and Wool Festival is an annual gathering of fiber-arts enthusiasts in the United States that draws approximately 30,000 visitors and more than 300 vendors. It is held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, New York.

The Dutchess County Fairgrounds is the home of the annual Dutchess County Fair. Open for over 160 years, the fairgrounds are open year-round and host a number of events. Annual events include: Crafts at Rhinebeck [2] New York State Sheep and Wool Festival [3] Hudson Valley Wine and Food Festival [4] Rhinebeck Antiques Fair [5] Classic car showsIn addition to these events, the fairgrounds are home to "Turn of the Century Village" with a one-room school, a working sugar house, and a cider mill. There are plans to expand this exhibit. Dutchess County Fairgrounds is located on U.S. Route 9, about 3 miles from Amtrak's Rhinecliff-Kingston station.

The Jan Pier House is a historic home located at Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. The farmhouse was built about 1761 and remodeled about 1881 in a Second Empire style. It is a one- to two story, asymmetrical stone building built into a hillside. It features a Mansard roof sheathed in polychrome slate. Also on the property are two contributing barns, a smoke house, wellhouse / well, and a cistern.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Cox Farmhouse is a historic home located at Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. It was built in the mid- to late-18th century and expanded and remodeled in 1843. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, L-shaped, stone-and-brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It is five bays wide and two bays deep and is topped by a gable roof. It features an elaborate, ornamented entrance.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Salisbury Turnpike Bridge is a historic stone arch bridge located at Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. It was built in 1858 and is a single span stone masonry structure built of mortared random fieldstone. Pilgrim's Progress Road Bridge is about 500 feet (150 m) southeast of this bridge.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Parish of Good Shepherd and St. Joseph is a parish under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located in Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. The church address is Good Shepherd Church, 3 Mulberry Street, Rhinebeck, New York 12572 The parish was founded in 1862 with the establishment of St. Joseph's in Rhinecliff. In 1903, St. Joseph's established the mission church of the Good Shepherd in nearby Rhinebeck. Before long it became apparent that the mission in Rhinebeck had the larger congregation. Good Shepherd became a parish in its own right in 1901. The two parishes were then subsequently merged with Good Shepherd being the parish church and St. Joseph's reduced to a dependent chapel.

It is part of the Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown metropolitan area as well as the larger New York metropolitan area. The town of Rhinebeck is in the northwestern part of Dutchess County in the Hudson Valley. "Rhinebeck" also refers to the village of Rhinebeck, located within the town. Rhinebeck residents living within the village are citizens of the town as well, but town residents living outside of the village line are not citizens of the village. U.S. Route 9 passes through the town. It also includes the hamlet of Rhinecliff, which has an Amtrak station with service to Burlington, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Cleveland, Buffalo, Albany, and New York City. Rhinebeck is home of the Dutchess County Fair.

The Neher–Elseffer House is located on U.S. Route 9 a short distance north of its intersection with New York State Route 9G in Rhinebeck, New York, United States. It is a frame house built in 1746, one of the rare pre-Revolutionary frame houses in the Rhinebeck area. Its current appearance reflects renovations made circa 1800, and the interior was altered in the 1830s. It is currently owned by the town and used for storage. In 2000 it was damaged in a fire, leading to some additional renovations and repairs. In 2003 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Pilgrim's Progress Road Bridge is a historic stone arch bridge located at Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York. It was built about 1858 and is a triple arch stone masonry structure built of mortared random fieldstone.The bridge is one of two stone bridges that carry Miller Road over Landsman Kill, the first, Salisbury Turnpike Bridge, is a single arch bridge east of New York State Route 308. Pilgrim's Progress bridge is found south of School House Lane, after Miller Road turns from east to south. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Maples is a historic house located on 108 Montgomery Street in Rhinebeck, New York. It was built in the 1830s in the Greek Revival style. Three decades later, its exterior was remodeled, adding decoration in the picturesque mode. For decades, The Maples was used as medical offices. When the medical offices closed, the building was listed for sale, but remained empty for three years, falling into despair. In 2017, new owners purchased The Maples and began an extensive renovation, transforming the building into professional office suites. In 1987, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The original section of the Grove (ca. 1795), the country seat of Philip Jeremiah Schuyler and, subsequently, Mary Morton Miller, embodies the prototypical two-story, five-bay, center-hall form associated with the Federal period. Schuyler was married to Sarah Rutsen, and the land had been in the Rutsen family. The Landsman Kill, running through the property, had been the site of the Rutsen family's grist and saw mills, important settlement period industrial concerns in Rhinebeck during the early- to mid-eighteenth century. Schuyler acquired the mills, which he continued to operate, and a large parcel of land upon which he erected his elegant Federal style mansion. (The subsequent evolution of the Grove, in form, scale and decorative detailing, and its nineteenth-century historical associations place its primary significance in a later period as a 19th-century country seat. A carriage house on the property was built in the 1890s and is attributed to the architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
