Hampton School (Jamaica)

Malvern is a village in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Jamaica's St. Elizabeth parish. It is the site of Bethlehem Moravian College, Munro College (151-year-old boys' secondary school) and Hampton School (a high school for girls) which is just as old.

Bethlehem Moravian College (formerly Bethlehem Teacher Training College) is a college located in Malvern, Jamaica. The college grants the bachelor's degree in primary and secondary education, business studies, and hospitality and tourism management. The College was founded in 1861 by the Jamaica Province of the Moravian Church.

Munro College is a boarding school for boys in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. It was founded in 1856 as the Potsdam School (named for the city of Potsdam), a school for boys in St. Elizabeth as stipulated in the will of plantation owners Robert Hugh Munro and Caleb Dickenson. It was renamed Munro College during World War I as part of the general rejection of German names at the time, though the surrounding Potsdam district was not also renamed. Munro College takes its name from one of its benefactors and was established in the fashion of the British public school. Several of the boarding houses take the names of other benefactors or illustrious alumni. The campus has its own chapel and magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and Pedro Plains from its perch atop the peak of the Santa Cruz Mountains.Munro College is reputed to have produced the most Rhode Scholars of any secondary school in the Caribbean. The most recent Rhodes Scholar from Munro College is Vincent F. Taylor (Jamaica and Magdalen 2013). Munro College is currently the only all-boys boarding school in Jamaica.

Nain Airstrip is an airstrip serving the town of Nain and the Alpart alumina refinery in the Saint Elizabeth Parish of Jamaica. The airstrip is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) northwest of Nain. There is distant high terrain east of the airstrip. The Sangster VOR/DME (Ident: SIA) is located 36.3 nautical miles (67.2 km) north-northwest of the runway.

Santa Cruz is a town in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, on the A2 road connecting Black River to Mandeville. A minor market village until the 1950s, the development of nearby areas for bauxite mining stimulated its growth in the 1950s and 1960s, as did the establishment of the St. Elizabeth Technical High School in 1961. Santa Cruz has its own courthouse, police station and a wide variety of restaurants alongside supermarkets and funeral parlors. In the 1950s a Korean born medical doctor, Hae Sok Kim, made Santa Cruz his home until his death in 1983.

St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) is a co-educational secondary school in Santa Cruz, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. This year 2021 marks 25 years of STETHS Alumni Association (Inc.) and on 60 years since the inception of our alma mater. STETHS Alumni Association USA Inc. was formed and celebrated by STETHS Classes 1961 - 2020 and its President Donovan Wilson.

Lacovia High School (COBY) is a government-owned, co-educational, first-to-sixth form, non-traditional, secondary school located in Lacovia in the parish of St Elizabeth, Jamaica. According to Go-Local Jamaica, an online branch of the Jamaica Gleaner newspaper, Lacovia High has recently been noticed by the upper echelons of society. The school has outperformed a number of other well-known similar institutions, with some students sitting CXC and CSEC exams passing in as many as ten subjects.
