Fort Gansevoort is an art gallery that takes its name from the former fort in the New York City borough of Manhattan, called Fort Gansevoort. While the fort, which was abandoned in the mid-19th century, was located on the Hudson River at the end of Gansevoort Street, the gallery was created by curator Adam Shopkorn in a building at the other end of the street, in a 19th-century house on the corner of Little West 12th Street, in 2015.The center contains two floors of gallery space as well as dining and retail areas. It holds art exhibitions in the galleries, online exhibitions, and art fairs.In July 2022, the work of Aboriginal Australian artists Vincent Namatjira, Kaylene Whiskey and Tiger Yaltangki was displayed in an exhbition called Iwantja Rock n Roll (with its name derived from Iwantja Arts, an art centre in the APY lands of South Australia).

The Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC Hotel or Hotel Gansevoort is a luxury hotel located at 18 Ninth Avenue between Little West 12th Street and 13th Street in the Meatpacking District neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The building, which was completed in 2004, was designed by Stephen B. Jacobs and has interiors by Andi Pepper. With the completion of a top-to-bottom renovation in 2021, the property has 187 rooms and 23 suites and features a rooftop pool and bar, among other amenities. The Gansevoort Hotel was the first urban resort to be developed in New York, as well as the first luxury hotel in the Meatpacking District. Gansevoort Hotel Group is a subsidiary of WSA Management Ltd., a real estate development and management firm whose principals are Michael Achenbaum.

The Real World: Back to New York is the tenth season of MTV's reality television series The Real World, which focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season, as cameras follow their lives and interpersonal relationships. It is the second season of The Real World to be filmed in the Mid-Atlantic States region of the United States, specifically in New York after The Real World: New York. The season featured seven people who lived in a four-floor loft at 632 Hudson Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. As its title indicates, Back to New York is the first season to take place in a city that had hosted a previous season, as the show's first season was set in New York in 1992. The Back to New York season was filmed January 9 to June 2, 2001. It premiered July 3 of that year and consisted of 22 episodes. The cast appeared in a cover feature in the Fall 2001 issue of Time Out New York.

299 West 12th Street is a residential building facing south onto Abingdon Square Park in the Greenwich Village Historic District on the west side of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It was built by the developer brothers Bing & Bing and noted architect Emery Roth whose other works include The Beresford and The El Dorado. The building was granted an occupancy license on July 30, 1931, opening initially as an "apartment hotel" with a kitchen on the ground floor. In 1986, 299 West 12th Street and its sister building, 302 West 12th Street, were converted into condominiums, containing mainly studio and one bedroom units. It houses 183 condominium apartments.

Tenjune was a nightclub in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan, New York City, on Little West 12th Street. The music played in the club ranges from hip-hop to techno. The club began receiving media attention in February 2007 due to its celebrity clientele, but it came under public pressure in August 2010. The club allowed the 17-year-old daughter of Eric G. John, the US Ambassador to Thailand, to enter and drink at the club; later that night, the girl died in a fall from the 22nd floor of a Midtown apartment building.

Abingdon Square Park is one of New York City's oldest parks, and at 0.25 acres (1,000 m2), one of it smallest. 302 West 12th Street is a residential building facing west onto Abingdon Square Park in the Greenwich Village Historic District[1] on the west side of lower Manhattan in New York City, United States. It was built by the developer brothers Bing & Bing with the architectural firm of Boak & Paris. Russell M. Boak and Hyman F. Paris left the architectural firm of Emery Roth to start their own practice in 1927.The building opened in the late summer of 1931 and currently houses 129 condominium apartments.

Bank Street is a primarily residential street in the West Village part of Greenwich Village in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. It runs for a total length of about 725 metres (2,379 ft) from West Street, crossing Washington Street and Greenwich Street, to Hudson Street and Bleecker Street where it is interrupted by the Bleecker Playground, north of which is Abingdon Square; it then continues to Greenwich Avenue, crossing West 4th Street and Waverly Place. Vehicular traffic runs west-east along this one-way street. As with several other east-west streets in the Far West Village, the three blocks west of Hudson Street are paved with setts. Bank Street is named for the Bank of New York, which bought eight lots on the street in 1798 and established a branch there. A clerk in the bank's main office on Wall Street had contracted yellow fever, leading the bank to buy land in Greenwich Village in order to have a branch office away from Wall Street where it could conduct business in the event of future emergencies.
