Fort Gansevoort is an art gallery that takes its name from the former fort in the New York City borough of Manhattan, called Fort Gansevoort. While the fort, which was abandoned in the mid-19th century, was located on the Hudson River at the end of Gansevoort Street, the gallery was created by curator Adam Shopkorn in a building at the other end of the street, in a 19th-century house on the corner of Little West 12th Street, in 2015.The center contains two floors of gallery space as well as dining and retail areas. It holds art exhibitions in the galleries, online exhibitions, and art fairs.In July 2022, the work of Aboriginal Australian artists Vincent Namatjira, Kaylene Whiskey and Tiger Yaltangki was displayed in an exhbition called Iwantja Rock n Roll (with its name derived from Iwantja Arts, an art centre in the APY lands of South Australia).

The Meatpacking District is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan that runs from West 14th Street south to Gansevoort Street, and from the Hudson River east to Hudson Street. The Meatpacking Business Improvement District along with signage in the area, extend these borders farther north to West 17th Street, east to Eighth Avenue, and south to Horatio Street.

El Faro Restaurant was a small Spanish food emporium located at 823 Greenwich Street in the West Village of Manhattan, New York City. El Faro opened in 1927 and shuttered in 2012 after failing to raise over $80,000 to pay off fines and expenses.Its first set of owners, Manuel Rivas and Edwardo Cabana, ran the establishment as a Spanish bar and grill. This area of New York was heavily populated with Irish immigrants who worked in the nearby meatpacking houses, which still stand today. The restaurant was located near 14th Street, an area close to Eighth Avenue that became known as "Little Spain".José Perez and his son Joe Pérez, the newest owners of the restaurant, were interviewed by director Artur Balder in the 2010 documentary Little Spain, in order to shine a light on the memories of Little Spain and its most important landmarks. In 1996, El Faro was honored with a Village Award by the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation.At the time of its demise in 2012 El Faro's was the oldest Spanish restaurant in New York City. Subsequently following El Faro's closure El Quijote in the Hotel Chelsea which opened in 1930 took its place as the oldest Spanish eatery in town.

14th Street was an express station on the demolished IRT Ninth Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had two levels. The lower level was built first and had two tracks and two side platforms. The upper level was built as part of the Dual Contracts and had one track and two side platforms over the lower level local tracks. It closed on June 11, 1940. The next southbound stop was Christopher Street for express and local trains. The next northbound local stop was 23rd Street. The next northbound express stop was 34th Street.

Tenjune was a nightclub in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan, New York City, on Little West 12th Street. The music played in the club ranges from hip-hop to techno. The club began receiving media attention in February 2007 due to its celebrity clientele, but it came under public pressure in August 2010. The club allowed the 17-year-old daughter of Eric G. John, the US Ambassador to Thailand, to enter and drink at the club; later that night, the girl died in a fall from the 22nd floor of a Midtown apartment building.

The Real World: Back to New York is the tenth season of MTV's reality television series The Real World, which focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season, as cameras follow their lives and interpersonal relationships. It is the second season of The Real World to be filmed in the Mid-Atlantic States region of the United States, specifically in New York after The Real World: New York. The season featured seven people who lived in a four-floor loft at 632 Hudson Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. As its title indicates, Back to New York is the first season to take place in a city that had hosted a previous season, as the show's first season was set in New York in 1992. The Back to New York season was filmed January 9 to June 2, 2001. It premiered July 3 of that year and consisted of 22 episodes. The cast appeared in a cover feature in the Fall 2001 issue of Time Out New York.

Florent was an all-night diner in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan that opened in 1985 and closed in 2008.

The Cooler, a music and performance space, opened on Wednesday, September 22, 1993 at 416 West 14th Street in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan. The club showcased a wide variety of experimental music, Americana music, roots music, and spoken-word performers. Performances at The Cooler also included dance, film and video arts, and club parties. The Cooler blended live music, DJs, turntablists, and electronic dance music (EDM). The Cooler's early period featured many mixed-genre downtown New York City musicians and DJs. The late period incorporated fewer bands and booked more EDM, mixologists and electronic music. The club closed on June 2, 2001 with a performance by Michael Karoli of Can, Botanica, Jim Thirlwell, James Chance and Suicide.

Hogs and Heifers Saloon is a small chain of bars. The original bar opened in 1992 in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan, in New York City. A second location was opened on 1st Avenue between 95th and 96th Streets of Manhattan by early 2000. A third opened in downtown Las Vegas adjacent to the Fremont Street Experience.

The Mineshaft was a members-only BDSM gay leather bar and sex club located at 835 Washington Street, at Little West 12th Street, in Manhattan, New York City, in the Meatpacking District, West Village, and Greenwich Village sections.

The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Bernard is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 328-332 West 14th Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 2003 as a result of a parish merger of the Manhattan parishes of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Bernard's Church.
