İstinye Park is a shopping center in the İstinye quarter of Istanbul, Turkey with 291 stores, 85,250 m2 (917,600 sq ft) of retail area, and four levels of underground parking. The center features both enclosed and open-air sections. The open-air section has a green central park and offers street-side shopping. The center includes an authentic Turkish food bazaar- a traditional market place, inspired by Turkish architecture and history.

In the morning hours on July 9, 2008, an attack on the Consulate General of the United States, Istanbul resulted in the deaths of the three gunmen and three Turkish National Police officers. The attack occurred at a time when the facility was at full function. It is the responsibility of the host state to take care of security as per Article 22 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

The Emirgan Park (Turkish: Emirgan Korusu or rarely Emirgan Parkı) is a historical urban park located at the Emirgan neighbourhood in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, Turkey, on the European coast of the Bosphorus. It is one of the largest public parks in Istanbul.

İhsan Ketin Natural History Museum (Turkish: İhsan Ketin Doğa Tarihi Müzesi) is a museum within the Mining Engineering Faculty of Istanbul Technical University. The free-of-charge museum was established in the Faculty building at 41°06′17″N 29°01′34″E. İstinye is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Sarıyer, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 15,721 (2022). It is on the European side of the city. It is located between the neighbourhoods of Emirgan and Yeniköy, on the northwestern shore of the Bosporus strait. It is one of the finest seashore locations on the Bosporus where people walk around during the weekends. İstinye is famous for its cafés and seafood restaurants. A small bay is also among the things that make İstinye a preferred location to visit. In classical antiquity it was the site of a town called Lasthenes, which was later renamed as Leosthenion (Greek: Λεωσθένιον), corrupted to Sosthenion (Greek: Σωσθένιον) during the Middle Ages. The village was the site of the Michaelion, a famous church and monastery dedicated to St. Michael in Byzantine times.Since 1995, the headquarters of the Istanbul Stock Exchange is located in İstinye.Additionally, the neighbourhood is in close proximity to one of Istanbul's newest shopping malls, İstinye Park, which was opened in 2007. Istinye Park aims at the high-end consumer group and is mostly dedicated to the world's famous fashion brands.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Sarıyer, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 15,725 (2022). It lies next to the TEM highway. The parts of the neighborhood close to the TEM are called Büyük Armutlu, and the parts farther away are called Küçük Armutlu. A significant Alevi population settled in Küçük Armutlu from the Anatolian cities of Tokat, Sivas, Amasya, Kahramanmaraş and Tunceli. Büyük Armutlu is connected to Etiler by Narin Bridge. According to 2004 data, the literacy rate of women living in the neighborhood is 80% and only 10% of this population is working. Most houses in the neighborhood have a view of the Bosphorus Strait.

Istanbul Technical University (Turkish: İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, commonly referred to as ITU or The Technical University) is an international technical university located in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the world's third-oldest technical university dedicated to engineering sciences as well as social sciences recently, and is one of the most prominent educational institutions in Turkey. ITU is ranked 108th worldwide (1st nationwide) in the field of "Engineering & Technology", and 255th worldwide (2nd nationwide) in the field of "Natural Sciences" by the QS World University Rankings in 2023. The university has 99 undergraduate, 192 graduate programs, 14 faculties, labs with total 154,000 m2 area, and 12 research centers.Acceptance to the university is competitive, and entrance to most of its departments require scoring among the top 1% of nearly 2 million applicants at the national university entrance examination known as "YKS" every year. Graduates of ITU have received many TUBITAK science and TUBA awards. Numerous graduates have also become members of the academy of sciences in the USA, UK and Russia. The university's basketball team, İTÜ BK, is in the Turkish Basketball Super League.

Kyparodes was a town of ancient Thrace, inhabited during Roman times.Its site is located near Karaköy in European Turkey.

Diamond of Istanbul is the tallest building under construction in Istanbul, Turkey, being built on the Büyükdere Avenue in the city's Maslak central business district of Sarıyer. It is also the country's first steel skyscraper. When completed, it will rise 63 floors above ground level and reach an above-ground height of 311 meters. Its design, by Dome Architecture of Istanbul, comprises three steel wings connected to the central (concrete) elevator core. The three wings (towers) will house a luxury hotel (the tallest tower), A-class offices (the second-tallest tower), and rental skyscraper apartments (the shortest tower.) The tallest of the three wings (the hotel tower) will have an overall total of 63 floors above ground (three retail facility floors, 48 hotel tower floors and two panoramic restaurant floors above the hotel floors, at heights of 249.10m and 263.10m, respectively), and reach an overall structural height of 311m from street level. The steel wings rise from the common podium of a shopping mall comprising five floors - three above-ground and two below. The complex also has a five-floor parking garage situated in the bottom-most basement floors of the building (with a total of eight basement floors below ground level.) The panoramic restaurant on the top-most floor will be at one of the tallest man-made points in Istanbul and Turkey.

The ITU Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center is a multi-venue building located within Istanbul Technical University's Ayazağa campus in Maslak, Istanbul. The university's academic and cultural activities are held in this center.
