Falésia Beach (Portuguese: Praia da Falésia, meaning Cliff Beach) is a beach in Albufeira, Algarve, southern Portugal. It has a cliff that begins in the Barranco das Belharucas Beach and extends to Vilamoura.

Olhos de Água is a former freguesia ("civil parish"), located in the municipality of Albufeira, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Albufeira e Olhos de Água. It has a population of 3,221 (2001) and an area of 15.69 km2. The name (literally: "eyes of water") refers to the fresh water springs on the beach, visible when the sea is on low tide.

The 2000 IAAF World Cross Country Championships took place on March 18/19, 2000. The races were held at the Sporting Complex in Vilamoura, Portugal. Barranco das Belharucas Beach is a beach in the municipality of Albufeira, Portugal, between Olhos de Água and Açoteias. It begins the Falesia Beach that extends for 7 km to Vilamoura.

The Portugal Masters was a European Tour men's professional golf tournament which was played for the first time in October 2007. It had a prize fund is US$2 million, making it one of the richest golf tournaments in Portugal. It was jointly staged by the European Tour and the Portuguese Tourist Board (ITP). The host course is the Arnold Palmer designed Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura.

Praia da Rocha Baixinha or Praia dos Tomates (meaning in Portuguese Low Rock Beach and Tomatoes Beach respectively) is a beach within the Municipality of Albufeira, in the Algarve, Portugal. The beach is 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) east of the town of Albufeira and is 31.7 kilometres (19.7 mi) west of the regions capital of Faro. In 2012 Praia da Rocha Baixinha was designated a blue Flag beach. Praia da Rocha Baixinha is the beach at the eastern end of Falesia Beach (Praia da Falésia) and is close to the marina and resort of Vilamoura. The beach is split into two areas, Rocha Baixinha Oeste (East) and Rocha Baixinha-Leste (West). Both beaches have been awarded blue flags. Rocha Baixinha Oeste is next to the mouth of the Quarteira River and the resort of Vilamoura is on the other side. The beach is wide with fine golden sand and stretches away westwards towards Praia da Falésia.

The Quarteira River (Portuguese pronunciation: [kwɐɾˈtɐjɾɐ]) is a small river in the Portuguese region of the Algarve. The river begins at the conflux of two tributary rivers a little north of the village of Paderne. The tributary rivers are the River de Alte and the River de Algibre.

Boliqueime is a Portuguese village and freguesia ("civil parish"), located in the municipality of Loulé, in the region of Algarve. The population in 2011 was 4,973, in an area of 46.21 km². The urbanized core of the village is about 50 m to 95 m above sea level. Located in central Algarve, 27 km from Faro International Airport it is a well preserved small village less than 20 minutes away from both the inland city of Loulé, the seat of the municipality, and the coastal settlements of Vilamoura, a famed resort with marina, and Albufeira, a city by the sea with some of the most popular beaches in the region.

The Roman Ruins of Cerro da Vila are the remnants of a historical villa in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Its vestiges lie in the vicinity of the resort and marina of Vilamoura, in the civil parish of Quarteira, municipality of Loulé Municipality.

Vilamoura Old Course is a golf course in Vilamoura, on the Algarve in Southern Portugal. Sometimes referred to as the "Grande Dame" of the Algarve, it is owned and operated by Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection, who purchased the course, along with four others in Vilamoura, in 2016. The five courses had previously been owned by the Oceanico Group since 2007.Designed by Frank Pennink, the Old Course opened in 1969, and hosted the Portuguese Open in 1976. Following remodelling by Martin Hawtree, the course reopened in 1997.

Vilamoura is a coastal resort in the Loulé municipality in Algarve, Portugal. It is one of the three corners of Algarve's Golden Triangle. Vilamoura comprises one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and with about 2,000 hectares of land. The nearest airport is in Faro. The area previously hosted the annual Almond Blossom Cross Country competition between 1996 and 2003, and the same course was selected as the venue for the 2000 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.

Praia da Balaia is a small satellite beach at the eastern end of its larger neighbour, Praia Santa Eulália, on the Atlantic south coast of the Algarve. It is within the municipality of Albufeira and is 3.1 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the town of Albufeira and 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) west of the coastal village of Olhos de Água.
