Olhos de Água

Barranco das Belharucas Beach is a beach in the municipality of Albufeira, Portugal, between Olhos de Água and Açoteias. It begins the Falesia Beach that extends for 7 km to Vilamoura.

Falésia Beach (Portuguese: Praia da Falésia, meaning Cliff Beach) is a beach in Albufeira, Algarve, southern Portugal. It has a cliff that begins in the Barranco das Belharucas Beach and extends to Vilamoura.

The 2010 European Cross Country Championships was a continental cross country running competition that took place on 12 December in Albufeira, Portugal. It was the second time that the country hosted the event, building upon the 1997 edition held in Oeiras. Serhiy Lebid won the men's race for his ninth victory of the championship – a record for the competition. France took the men's team title. Jessica Augusto comprehensively won the women's race for the host nation and also led the Portuguese team to a team gold medal. At total of 468 athletes from a record number of 34 nations competed at the event.

The 2000 IAAF World Cross Country Championships took place on March 18/19, 2000. The races were held at the Sporting Complex in Vilamoura, Portugal. The Portugal Masters was a European Tour men's professional golf tournament which was played for the first time in October 2007. It had a prize fund is US$2 million, making it one of the richest golf tournaments in Portugal. It was jointly staged by the European Tour and the Portuguese Tourist Board (ITP). The host course is the Arnold Palmer designed Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura.

Praia da Rocha Baixinha or Praia dos Tomates (meaning in Portuguese Low Rock Beach and Tomatoes Beach respectively) is a beach within the Municipality of Albufeira, in the Algarve, Portugal. The beach is 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) east of the town of Albufeira and is 31.7 kilometres (19.7 mi) west of the regions capital of Faro. In 2012 Praia da Rocha Baixinha was designated a blue Flag beach. Praia da Rocha Baixinha is the beach at the eastern end of Falesia Beach (Praia da Falésia) and is close to the marina and resort of Vilamoura. The beach is split into two areas, Rocha Baixinha Oeste (East) and Rocha Baixinha-Leste (West). Both beaches have been awarded blue flags. Rocha Baixinha Oeste is next to the mouth of the Quarteira River and the resort of Vilamoura is on the other side. The beach is wide with fine golden sand and stretches away westwards towards Praia da Falésia.

Praia da Balaia is a small satellite beach at the eastern end of its larger neighbour, Praia Santa Eulália, on the Atlantic south coast of the Algarve. It is within the municipality of Albufeira and is 3.1 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the town of Albufeira and 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) west of the coastal village of Olhos de Água.

Boliqueime is a Portuguese village and freguesia ("civil parish"), located in the municipality of Loulé, in the region of Algarve. The population in 2011 was 4,973, in an area of 46.21 km². The urbanized core of the village is about 50 m to 95 m above sea level. Located in central Algarve, 27 km from Faro International Airport it is a well preserved small village less than 20 minutes away from both the inland city of Loulé, the seat of the municipality, and the coastal settlements of Vilamoura, a famed resort with marina, and Albufeira, a city by the sea with some of the most popular beaches in the region.

Praia Santa Eulália is a beach within the Municipality of Albufeira, in the Algarve, Portugal. The beach is 2.7 miles (4.3 km) east of the town of Albufeira and is 20.5 miles (33.0 km) west of the regions capital of Faro. In 2012 Praia Santa Eulália has been designated a blue Flag beach.

Albufeira e Olhos de Água is a freguesia ("civil parish") in Albufeira Municipality, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Albufeira and Olhos de Água. The population in 2011 was 26,742, in an area of 41.18 km².

Praia da Oura is a blue flag beach within the Municipality of Albufeira, in the Algarve, Portugal. The beach is in the eastern district of Albufeira in the neighbourhood called Areias de São João (Saint John's Sands). Its flanked by Praia dos Aveiros to the west and Praia de Santa Eulália to the eastern side. The beach is approximately 900 metres (3,000 ft) in length and is 450 metres (1,480 ft) wide at low tide.

The Quarteira River (Portuguese pronunciation: [kwɐɾˈtɐjɾɐ]) is a small river in the Portuguese region of the Algarve. The river begins at the conflux of two tributary rivers a little north of the village of Paderne. The tributary rivers are the River de Alte and the River de Algibre.
