The Storrier-Stearns Japanese Garden is a Japanese garden located at 270 Arlington Drive in Pasadena, California. The garden was designed and built over seven years starting in 1935 when Charles and Ellamae Storrier Stearns hired first generation immigrant, and Japanese landscape designer, Kinzuchi Fujii. The 1.45-acre (0.59 ha) garden took four years to construct once its design was complete and cost $150,000. The garden was designed as a Hill and Pond Strolling Garden, the "chisen kaiyu shiki" form, which traditionally includes water features and walking paths. This garden includes 25-foot (7.6 m) ponds with waterfalls, hills, bridges and paths. The garden's teahouse and many of its granite, bronze, and wood features were imported from Japan. The garden became a landmark for the Japanese community in Pasadena, and its teahouse served as a meeting place for Japanese cultural activities until it burned down in 1981. It was rebuilt to the original plans during the garden's recent restoration by Takeo Uesugi, FASLA.The garden is open to the public the last Sunday of every week during the pandemic. The garden was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 15, 2005.

The Arlington Garden is a 3-acre (1.2 ha) botanical garden, located in Pasadena, California. It is Pasadena's only dedicated free public garden. The garden was designed by Mayita Dinos; planting was first begun in 2005.

Bellefontaine is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California, immediately south of Downtown. The neighborhood is bordered by Del Mar Boulevard to the north, Columbia Street to the south, Orange Grove Boulevard to the west, and Fair Oaks Avenue to the east. The main roads through the neighborhood are California Boulevard and Pasadena Avenue. A small part of the neighborhood on Markham street is referred to as the Governor Markham Landmark District, as the neighborhood was once home to California Governor Henry Markham.

The Henry A. Ware House is a historic house located at 460 Bellefontaine Street in Pasadena, California. Prominent Pasadena architectural firm Greene & Greene designed the American Craftsman style house, which was built in 1913. The house's roof has a complex gabled form typical of Craftsman designs, and its eaves are overhanging with exposed rafters and beams. A large front-facing gable features a stepped brick chimney, while a one-story bay includes Tudor-inspired half-timbering.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 15, 2004.

Mayfield Senior School is an independent Catholic college preparatory school, founded in 1931 for young women grades 9-12. It is sponsored by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, a member of the Holy Child Network of Schools and is guided by the educational philosophy of the Society's foundress, Cornelia Connelly.

The Garfield House is a historic two-story house in South Pasadena, California. It was built in 1904 for First Lady Lucretia Garfield, the widow of James A. Garfield who served as the 20th President of the United States in 1881. It was designed by Greene & Greene in the American Craftsman style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 24, 1973.

The Howard Longley House is a historic house in South Pasadena, California, U.S. In 1897, Greene and Greene recorded job no. 23 as a residence for Howard and Etta Longley at 1005 Buena Vista Street, with a valuation of $3,876. Mr. Longley was "the brother-in-law of Dr. Greene's [i.e., Charles and Henry Greene's father] sister, Alice." The house is significant as one of the earliest surviving residences designed by Greene & Greene. On 6 August 1897, the Los Angeles Journal reported that plans for the house were being prepared. The Longley house stands next to the Lucretia Garfield House (designed by Greene & Greene in 1904 for the widow of President James Garfield). The Longley House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 16, 1974.

Villa Verde, located at 800 S. San Rafael in Pasadena, California, is a historic estate built in 1927. The estate was designed by Marston, Van Pelt & Maybury and is representative of their Spanish Colonial Revival designs. The design features extensive wrought iron ornamentation and a terra cotta roof. F. A. Hardy, former chairman of the Goodrich Corporation and a renowned horticulturist, first inhabited the house and planted its still-surviving garden.The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The listing included two contributing buildings on 1.8 acres (0.73 ha).

The House at 574 Bellefontaine St. is a historic house located at 574 Bellefontaine Street in Pasadena, California. Architect Sylvanus B. Marston of Marston, Van Pelt & Maybury designed the Swiss chalet style house, which was built in 1911 for developer G. Roscoe Thomas. The two-story house is built on a steep hill and has an "L"-shaped layout; the main entrance is located on the north side's second story. The front facade includes a large gable on the south side and a smaller one over the entrance porch; the larger gable features half-timbered woodwork. A stair tower at the back of the main corner has a pointed roof and an adjacent chimney stack. The north leg of the house has a second-story porch in the rear, while the west leg features arched windows and doors on the first floor and casement windows on the second.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1998.

Twohey's ( TOO-ees) is an American 1950s-style diner located at 424 Fair Oaks Avenue in South Pasadena, California, US. It was founded in 1943, and is home of the “Little Stink-O" burger.

Huntington Health, an Affiliate of Cedars-Sinai is a 544-bed, not-for-profit hospital in Pasadena, California. The hospital originally opened as Pasadena Hospital, though the official name of the hospital is Pasadena Hospital DBA (doing business as) Huntington Memorial Hospital, known locally as HMH, Huntington Hospital or (colloquially known as) Huntington. In the 1930s Pasadena Hospital was awarded two million dollars from the estate of Henry Edwards Huntington, a Southern California businessman and booster, and as a result, the common name of the hospital was changed. Only six years younger than Pasadena itself, Huntington Hospital has grown with the community they serve. Their 24/7 specialist coverage ensures a hospital-based physician (hospitalist) is always available at the hospital for patients who need general, obstetrical or critical care. And as a leader in nursing care, they are one of only 10% of hospitals nationwide to have achieved Magnet designation, the gold standard in nursing. The Raymond Hotel was a hotel in South Pasadena, California, and first major resort hotel of the San Gabriel Valley. Largely a winter residence for wealthy Easterners, it was built by Mr. Walter Raymond of Raymond & Whitcomb Travel Agency of Boston, Massachusetts. The hotel was built atop Bacon Hill which lies between Pasadena and South Pasadena and was renamed Raymond Hill with the opening of the hotel in 1886. The original hotel, a grand and unequivocal Victorian edifice was burned to the ground in 1895. A second building, of a later and more fireproof style, was erected in 1901 and equally replaced the older in grandeur. The hotel was foreclosed following the Great Depression and was razed for commercial development.
