The Ponte della Maddalena was a bridge on the south east of Naples, Italy, spanning over what was once the River Sebeto, and now reflected by the path of the Via Marinella. For centuries it was one of the entry points into Naples from the South, but was obliterated during the late 19th-century urban renewal of the city. Prior to Norman times, the bridge was known as pons padulis. Then it was named Guizzardo bridge, for a bridge built by Robert Guiscard, Duke of Puglia, when he lay siege to the city in 1078. It stood near the shoreline to the east of the city where the Via Marinella crossed the River Sebeto (within the present-day Vittorio Emanuele III docks and Piazza Mercato). The bridge was rebuilt in 1555 under the Viceroy Don Bernardino di Mendoza, to span the marsh ground where the Sebeto river arose during the rainy season. The bridge was rebuilt again in 1747 under Charles III and once again in the second half of the 19th century. No longer in existence, it was an established and popular vantage point for topographical artists.The bridge was an excellent point at which to deny entry to invading forces into the city. The most famous of these was the stand in 1799 of the forces of the short-lived Neapolitan republic against the returning royalist Bourbon army. The Miracle of the Magdalene bridge recalls an incident in December 1631, when the cardinal of Naples, led a procession dedicated to San Gennaro to the bridge to plead for the end to an eruption of Vesuvius. The ebbing of the eruption was interpreted as a miraculous intercession. A shrine was erected in 1777 with San Gennaro with his arms pacifying the volcano.

The Fourth Municipality (In Italian: Quarta Municipalità or Municipalità 4) is one of the ten boroughs in which the Italian city of Naples is divided.

Gianturco is a train and rapid transit station in Naples. It takes its name from Via Gianturco, in the industrial area of the city. The platforms are on a viaduct. From here the trains passing through the railway link (now only underground line 2) could reach the lines for Cassino and Salerno. The few metropolitan trains in regional daily service (3 every day) for Caserta use the line for Cassino, while those for Salerno use the line for Salerno. The station was activated on May 12, 1927, as a simple stop, and was originally called "Via Gianturco". An earlier proposal would have named the station "Pasconcello"The station has two platforms and four tracks.

The Centro direzionale is a business district in Naples, Italy, close to the station of Napoli Centrale, they constitute an entire citadel. Designed by the Japanese architect Kenzō Tange, the entire complex was completed in 1995. It is the first cluster of skyscrapers to have been built in Italy and southern Europe.

Centro Direzionale will be a station on line 1 of the Naples Metro, adjacent and connected through an underground passage to the Naples Centro Direzionale station of the Circumvesuviana railway. The construction site was inaugurated on 2 August 2014.The Centro Direzionale station, designed by the EMBT studio (founded by architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue), will serve the business center of Naples, home to numerous public offices. The external part of the railway complex will occupy a central area of the island F, and will consist of a "wave" canopy:

Mercato (Italian for "market") is a neighbourhood or quartiere of Naples, southern Italy. It is in the south-eastern part of the city, bounded by the industrial port of Naples on the south. At the center of the area is the Piazza del Mercato or "market square", the medieval market place of the city. At the apex of the half-moon of the piazza is the church of Santa Croce e Purgatorio al Mercato. Visible to the east and west respectively are the belltowers and parts of the façade of Sant'Eligio Maggiore and the church of Santa Maria del Carmine. The square was the site of the execution of Conradin.It was also where Masaniello's revolt broke out and also the site of the executions after the royalist retaking of the kingdom after the fall of the Neapolitan Republic of 1799. The area was somewhat cut off from the rest of the city, inland, by the urban renewal (risanamento) of the early 1900s. Also, it was severely damaged by bombings in World War II. It is currently (2006) in the midst of ambitious development.

The Telecom Italia Tower is a 129-metre high skyscraper located in the business district of Naples, Italy. It is currently the ninth tallest skyscraper in Italy. It was, for 15 years, the highest building in Italy, surpassing by 2 meters the Pirelli Tower in Milan, that held the title from 1960 to 1995.

San Giuseppe Maggiore dei Falegnami is a historic church in via Carlo Bussola in the quartiere of Poggioreale, in the rione of Luzzatti in Naples, Italy. Originally built in the 15th century; and dedicated to the Sacra Famiglia. In 1934 cardinal Alessio Ascalesi transferred the church to the jurisdiction of San Giuseppe Maggiore, and rededicated the church to St Joseph, patron of carpenters. The subterranean oratory is commonly flooded due to the low nature of central Naples and the presence of former river bed. The interior still has works from the earliest church, for example, the Angels by Angelo Viva, the Eternal Father by Giuseppe Sanmartino, the main altar by Gaetano Barba, and two wooden statues by Giovanni da Nola (now in Museo di Capodimonte for security purposes). Other works include the Madonna and the Carmine by Girolamo Imparato and canvases of the 17th and 18th centuries. The dome is decorated with majolica tiles.

The Parthenope University of Naples (Italian: Università degli Studi di Napoli "Parthenope") is one of the universities located in Naples, Italy.

Garibaldi is an underground metro station that serve Line 1 on the Naples Metro, adjacent and connected through an underground passage to the Central railway station, Circumvesuviana and Line 2. It was opened on 31 December 2013 as a one-station extension from Università.

Napoli Centrale (Naples Central Station) (IATA: INP) is the main railway station in the city of Naples and in southern Italy and the sixth largest station in Italy in terms of passenger flow with an annual ridership of 50 million. It is located next to Piazza Garibaldi to the east of the old city. It is the primary rail terminus and station for Naples, and serves Trenitalia national railways and EAV. This one has an underground section known as Stazione di Napoli Piazza Garibaldi (Naples Garibaldi Piazza station), which is served by the metropolitan trains of the line 2, line 1 (Garibaldi), and 3, 12, 14, and 15 EAV Circumvesuviana lines which is accessible from 2 entrances inside the Centrale station, 1 outside in glass, and from the new Garibaldi Square.

Napoli Porta Nolana station is the main and terminal station of the Circumvesuviana railways, today managed by the Ente Autonomo Volturno (EAV). The station bears this name (derived from nearby Porta Nolana) since 2003; previously the station was simply called Napoli, although it was known colloquially as Napoli Terminale.
