County Cork (Irish: Contae Chorcaí) is the largest and the southernmost county of Ireland, named after the city of Cork, Ireland's second-largest city. It is in the province of Munster and the Southern Region. Its largest market towns are Mallow, Macroom, Midleton, and Skibbereen. As of 2016 the county had a population of 542,868, making it the third-most populous county in Ireland. Cork County Council is the local authority for the county, while Cork City Council governs the city of Cork and its environs. Notable Corkonians include Michael Collins, Jack Lynch, and Sonia O'Sullivan. Cork borders four other counties: Kerry to the west, Limerick to the north, Tipperary to the north-east and Waterford to the east. The county contains a section of the Golden Vale pastureland that stretches from Kanturk in the north to Allihies in the south. The south-west region, including West Cork, is one of Ireland's main tourist destinations, known for its rugged coast and megalithic monuments and as the starting point for the Wild Atlantic Way. The largest third-level institution is University College Cork, founded in 1845, has a total student population of around 22,000. Local industry and employers include technology company Dell EMC, the European headquarters of Apple, and the farmer-owned dairy co-operative Dairygold. The county is known as the "rebel county", a name given to it by King Henry VII of England for its support, in a futile attempt at a rebellion in 1491, of Perkin Warbeck, who claimed to be Richard of Shrewsbury, Duke of York.

Courtbrack (Irish: An Chúirt Bhreac) is a townland and village in County Cork, Ireland. It is located in the civil parish of Matehy close to the town of Blarney. The local Roman Catholic church is dedicated to Saint Joseph and was built c. 1840.Formerly a largely rural area, as of the early 21st century the townland was zoned for residential development. Courtbrack was designated as a census town by the Central Statistics Office for the first time in the 2016 census, at which time it had a population of 194 people.

The Waterloo Round Tower is a folly bell tower in Waterloo village in Ballygibbon townland, 2 kilometers north of Blarney in county Cork, Ireland. It is situated next to St. Mary's church on a hill, and overlooks the River Martin and the 18th-century Putland's Bridge which predates the tower. The tower was built in 1843 to resemble mediaeval round towers which are common in Ireland, but is otherwise unrelated to them.

Matehy (Irish: Maigh Teichigh) is a civil parish in the historical barony of Muskerry East in County Cork, Ireland. The civil parish is centred on a small settlement, also referred to as Matehy, which contains a Roman Catholic church (built c. 1820), a national (primary) school, and pub. Evidence of ancient settlement in the area include ringfort sites in Gilcagh townland, and a circular ecclesiastical enclosure containing the remains of a church (dating to at least the early 17th century) and a number of 18th century gravestones.

Tower (Irish: Teamhair), Ordnance Survey Ireland name Model Village, is a village within the administrative area of Cork city in Ireland. It is located to the northwest of the city, approximately 3 km from the town of Blarney on the R617 road. Together with Blarney, Tower is a satellite or dormitory town of Cork city. Tower is part of the Dáil constituency of Cork North-Central. As of the 2016 census of Ireland, the village had a population of 3,421.

Blarney Woollen Mills was built in 1823. It was used mainly for spinning and weaving wool. The mill briefly closed for two years between 1973 and 1975, after which it was re-opened as an Irish heritage shop. It is located in the village of Blarney, County Cork, Ireland.

Blarney railway station was a terminus station on the Cork and Muskerry Light Railway (CMLR) in County Cork, Ireland. The station served Blarney, and was located on the south side of the town's main square, with Blarney Castle a short walk to the south west.
