Apoquindo Waterfall

Apoquindo (Runasimi Apuk-kintu flowers for the deity) is the name of a river and pre-Columbian settlement located east of the city of Santiago de Chile, at the foot of the foothills, in the present town of Las Condes. This settlement later became known as the Pueblo de Indios in place names Apoquindo and transferred to an estate, the Mount Apoquindo, the Apoquindo Waterfall, the Apoquindo Avenue, to the district San Carlos de Apoquindo, the Apoquindo College and other geographical landmarks and urban community. The limits of Apoquindo are: on the north by Mapocho River in the east of Sierra de Ramon with Provincia Mount and La Cruz Mount, south of Quebrada de Ramon and the western Los Domínicos Square. At present, these limits are not as formal as the Avenida Apoquindo extends much further west (Canal San Carlos) to the border with the municipality of Providencia.

Cerro Provincia is a mountain on the eastern side of Santiago, Chile. It is a popular climb due to its accessibility and low level of difficulty by mountaineering standards (an 'F' or 'easy' on the Alpine scale). The peak has an altitude of 2,750 metres (9,022 ft) and a climb requires an altitude gain of almost 2000 meters from the highest road-accessible point. There is a small dome-shaped refuge shelter at the summit. There are fairly well traveled paths that go to the summit and marker posts. The peak offers views of Santiago to the west, the Andes to the east, and Cerro El Plomo to the north.

The Santiago Baháʼí House of Worship or Santiago Baháʼí Temple is a Baháʼí House of Worship located in Santiago, Chile that opened in 2016. It is circular and composed of nine arched "sails" made from marble and cast glass. Like all Baháʼí Houses of Worship, it is open to all regardless of religion or any other distinction. The temple was designed by Canadian architect Siamak Hariri and has won several awards from Canadian and international architecture organizations.

Universidad de los Andes (Spanish: Universidad de los Andes) (UANDES) is a private catholic-inspired higher learning institution that carries out non-profit education, research, and assistance activities, and was founded in 1989 in Santiago de Chile by a group of academics and professionals.UANDES is currently accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for a period of 5 years out of a maximum of 7 in five areas: pre- and postgraduate teaching, research, community engagement, and institutional management. Since 2019 it is a member of the Council of Chancellors.

Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo is a football stadium, in Las Condes in the metropolitan region of Santiago de Chile. It is used mostly for home matches stadium of the Chilean top club CD Universidad Católica which also owns the stadium. The stadium was built in 1988 and currently holds 14,768 people. At the club's beginning, all sports were on Santa Rosa de las Condes Stadium, which is a big sport centre that is going to be demolished and transported to San Carlos. The club president of the time Manuel Vélez Samaniego decided to open this sports complex. By 1945, the club played as the home team at the Independencia Stadium which was demolished because of the financial problems of the club, and started to play at Unión Española Stadium, the Santa Laura. In 1980, the idea of a new stadium comes out, the stadium was opened on September 4, 1988, the football stadium was not the whole complex, the stadium had also rugby, athletics and some other sport fields. The highest attendance for a football match at San Carlos de Apoquindo to date is 20,936, for a 0–0 tie between Universidad Católica and Cobreloa on November 1, 1992.

Scuola Italiana Vittorio Montiglio or Scuola Italiana Santiago is an Italian international school founded in 1891. Located at Las Condes, Santiago Province, Chile. It has scuola infanzia (preschool) through scuola secondaria di II grado (upper secondary school).The current campus has 52 classrooms, two tennis courts, three soccer (football) fields, two swimming pools, two bocce fields, and four multipurpose fields. The campus has a total of 27,000 square metres (290,000 sq ft) of constructed space. It opened on 24 March 2009."

Universidad del Desarrollo (Spanish for "University for development") is a Chilean private university, one of the most expensive universities in the region. Its main campus is in Santiago de Chile, with a secondary campus in Concepción.

Benedictine Monastery of the Holy Trinity (Spanish: Monasterio Benedictino de la Santísima Trinidad de Las Condes) is a Benedictine monastery in Las Condes, Santiago Province, Chile noted for its modernist architecture.

The Jafetz Chaim Synagogue of Santiago (Spanish: Sinagoga Jafetz Jaim) is a Chilean house of worship of the Jewish community, located in Santiago, Chile. The synagogue follows the customs of Orthodox Judaism. The synagogue has two rabbis and offers daily religious services and celebrations of the Jewish calendar.

Villa Grimaldi is considered the most important of DINA's (Dirección de Inteligencia Nacional, the Chilean secret police during the Pinochet regime) many complexes that were used for the interrogation and torture of political prisoners during the governance of Augusto Pinochet. It is located at Avenida José Arrieta 8200 (now 8401) in Peñalolén, on the outskirts of Santiago, and was in operation from mid-1974 to mid-1978. About 4,500 detainees were brought to Villa Grimaldi during this time, at least 240 of whom "disappeared" or were killed by DINA. It was also the location of the headquarters of the Metropolitan Intelligence Brigade (BIM). The head of Villa Grimaldi during the Pinochet dictatorship, Marcelo Moren Brito, was later convicted of crimes against humanity and sentenced to more than 300 years in prison.

Eulogio Sánchez Airport (Spanish: Aeródromo Eulogio Sánchez) (ICAO: SCTB), also known as Tobalaba Airport, is an airport in La Reina, an eastern suburb of Santiago, Chile. It is two-thirds owned by the Club Aéreo de Santiago and one-third owned by the Club Aéreo de Carabineros de Chile. Also, it holds the headquarters of Airbus Helicopters Chile S.A. The airport consists of 120 acres on the eastern edge of the Santiago metropolitan area. It was constructed in 1954 and named for the then-president of the Club Aéreo de Santiago, Eulogio Sánchez Errazuriz (1903-1956). Its taxiways, runway and fuel platform are the only public use infrastructure areas at the airport. It is home to about 100 aircraft, a restaurant and a public park next to the main entrance in Alcalde Fernando Castillo Velasco Avenue.Runway 19 has an additional 170 metres (560 ft) displaced threshold.

Pueblito Los Dominicos (Los Dominicos Village) is a crafts market and popular tourist shopping destination in a heritage zone of Santiago, Chile. It is located at the end of Avenida Apoquindo in Los Dominicos Park, to the side of San Vicente Ferrer Church (also known as Los Dominicos Church).
