Trinity-Bellwoods is an inner city neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by Bathurst Street, on the north by College Street, on the south by Queen Street West, and by Dovercourt Road on the west. It has a large Portuguese (mostly originally from the Azores and Madeira islands) and Brazilian community, and many local Lusitanian-Canadian businesses are located along Dundas Street West, continuing west into Little Portugal; this stretch further west along Dundas is known as Rua Açores. The neighbourhood takes its name from Trinity Bellwoods Park, built around the former Garrison Creek ravine. Bounded on the north by Dundas Street West and on the south by the Queen Street West district, the park is immediately accessible from major pedestrian and bicycling thoroughfares. And it is bounded on the east and west by quiet residential streets. Accordingly, the park has a large natural "constituency". The park also sports a range of environments, including tennis courts, a playground, a hockey rink, a dog walking bowl, a grove, a range of picnic tables, a greenhouse, a community center, and a swimming pool. The northwestern panhandle is home to a farmer's market on Tuesday afternoons from spring to fall.

The Garrison Crossing (formerly named Fort York Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge), located in downtown Toronto, provides a link between Stanley Park in the north and the Garrison Common of the Fort York grounds in the south. The crossing includes two stainless steel bridges over rail corridors. St. Matthias, Bellwoods is a small inclusive Anglo-Catholic parish of the Anglican Church of Canada located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The cornerstone was laid in 1873 and the building opened January 4, 1874. The parish is responsible for the Anglican chaplaincy at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. The hymn tune "Bellwoods", sung in many countries to the text "O day of God draw nigh", by the Canadian biblical scholar R. B. Y. Scott, was written by James Hopkirk, a former organist at St. Matthias (and sometime organist of St. James' Cathedral (Toronto)) and named for the parish. Roland Ford Palmer, the author of the Marian hymn "Sing of Mary, pure and lowly", used in several denominations' hymnals in many countries, had a long association with St. Matthias's (before departing for the Anglican Catholic Church of Canada) and wrote a History of St Matthias' Church. According to Palmer, St. Matthias's was "the first Anglican church in Toronto to enjoy all these adjuncts to worship" i.e. the full complement of Anglo-Catholic ceremonial.St. Matthias is also known to be the first Anglican parish to offer a formal Animal Blessing in Toronto. In more recent years, several other parishes have come to follow St. Matthias' lead in administering the annual ritual, welcoming animals of all kinds and their human companions for a liturgically-based blessing every autumn.

Factory Theatre is a theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was founded as Factory Theatre Lab in 1970 by Ken Gass and Frank Trotz, and it was run for almost 20 years by Dian English. Factory was the first theatre to announce that it would exclusively produce Canadian plays, but it soon became a widely emulated policy by other theatre companies. Factory became known as the home of the Canadian playwright, and is often associated with George F. Walker, most of whose plays premiered there. For over four decades, Factory Theatre has developed and produced some of the finest theatrical works in Canada's national canon and been home to some playwrights of the country. Tapestry Opera is a Canadian opera company located in Toronto, Ontario. According to its website, it is "the only Canadian company solely dedicated to the creation and performance of original Canadian opera". To date, the company has produced 18 full-length world premieres and 160 world premieres of opera shorts. It has been nominated for 61 Dora Mavor Moore Awards and won 20. It is Canada's largest producer of contemporary opera. The opera was founded in 1979 by Wayne Strongman, who was the company's Artistic Director until 2013, when he resigned after a period of internal strife. He was replaced by Michael Hidetoshi Mori, who is its current Artistic and General Director. In 2009, Strongman was appointed to the Order of Canada for his contribution to Canadian culture.

The Burroughes Building is a commercial building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1907, with an addition in 1910 to house the flagship department store for the F.C. Burroughes Furniture Company Limited.The property has been renovated to preserve its character features. It has restored elevators, wood details, and exposed brick. The National Post stated that Queen Street Partners repositioned the Burroughes Building by bringing "gentrification (to Toronto) and spreading it... affecting more than just retail space."The building is home to DesignRepublic, an independent furniture design and retail company, which occupies the first two floors. The third, fourth and fifth floors are office space, and the sixth floor and rooftop are used as event space. The original painted wall mural has been preserved by the 1910 addition to the east side of the property.

Fort York Armoury is a Canadian Forces facility located near the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Fleet Street and Fort York Boulevard, close to the historic Old Fort York in the neighbourhood of Fort York. It currently hosts several units of the Primary Reserve and the Canadian Cadet Organization.

The Royal Regiment of Canada is a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Army. The regiment is based in Toronto, Ontario, and forms part of the 4th Canadian Division's 32 Canadian Brigade Group. The ceremonial dress uniform of the Royal Regiment of Canada is the scarlet tunic and bearskin, similar to that of the British Army's Grenadier Guards. The plume is red over white, similar to the former Canadian Guards regiment.

The Queen's York Rangers (1st American Regiment) (RCAC) is a Canadian Army Primary Reserve Royal Canadian Armoured Corps regiment based in Toronto and Aurora. The regiment is part of 4th Canadian Division's 32 Canadian Brigade Group. The regiment consists of one reconnaissance squadron (D Squadron), and the Headquarters and Training Squadron. The regimental family also includes The Queen's York Rangers Band (volunteer) along with two Royal Canadian Army Cadet corps and a Royal Canadian Air Cadet squadron. The unit mottos are pristinae virtutis memor – "remembering their glories in former days" – and celer et audax – "swift and bold." Among its own members and those of other regiments, the unit is referred to as the Rangers. The name is abbreviated as QY Rang, and sometimes pronounced KWY-rang.
