The Shilin Official Residence (Chinese: 士林官邸; pinyin: Shìlín Guāndǐ) is the former residence of late Republic of China President Chiang Kai-shek located on Zhongshan North Road in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan.

The Chin Shan Yen Hui Chi Temple (traditional Chinese: 芝山巖惠濟宮; simplified Chinese: 芝山岩惠济宫; pinyin: Zhīshānyán Huìjì Gōng) is a temple in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan.

China Airlines Flight 206 was a flight operated by a China Airlines NAMC YS-11, registration B-156, that crashed on approach to Taipei Songshan Airport on 12 August 1970. While preparing to land, the aircraft entered thick fog and a severe thunderstorm. Whilst on final approach the plane crashed into a bamboo grove near the top of Yuan Mountain, killing 14 of the 31 people aboard.

Taiwan Seminary or Taiwan Theological College and Seminary or Taiwan Graduate School of Theology, also known as 'Taishen' (Chinese: 台灣神學院; pinyin: Táiwān shénxuéyuàn, Taiwanese: Tâi-oân Sîn-ha̍k-ī) is a private Presbyterian educational institution in Taipei, Taiwan. It constitutes one of three seminaries of the Presbyterian Church of Taiwan, along with Tainan Theological College and Seminary (in Tainan) and Yushan Theological Seminary in Hualien.

The Shilin Shennong Temple (traditional Chinese: 士林神農宮; simplified Chinese: 士林神农宫; pinyin: Shìlín Shénnóng Gōng) is a Chinese temple dedicated to Shennong Dadi and it is located in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Shilin (Chinese: 士林; pinyin: Shìlín, formerly transliterated as Shihlin Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. It is a station on the Tamsui-Xinyi Line. The station was formerly a stop on the now-defunct TRA Tamsui Line.

The Chinese Culture and Movie Center (Chinese: 中影文化城; pinyin: Zhōngyǐng Wénhuàchéng) is a former movie studio and tourist attraction located in the Shilin District of Taipei, Taiwan. It is owned by the Central Motion Picture Corporation. In its early period, it functioned as a film and TV drama filming location and studio. After the Republic of China government lifted martial law, many of the TV dramas and movies produced by the Center began filming in Hong Kong and mainland China. The Chinese Culture and Movie Center closed indefinitely in 2008.

Ming Chuan University (MCU; Chinese: 銘傳大學) is a private university in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan, accredited in the United States of America and by AACSB. Ming Chuan University was ranked in the 401 to 450 range in QS Top Asia Universities Ranking 2021 and positioned 1001+ in 2020 by Times Higher Education ranking. It was founded by Pao Teh-Ming (包德明) and her husband Lee Ying-Chao. The university was named after the progressive Qing Dynasty governor of Taiwan Liu Mingchuan.

Fu Hsing Broadcasting Station (FHBS; Chinese: 復興廣播電台; pinyin: Fùxīng Guǎngbō Diàntái) is a state-run radio station sponsored by Republic of China Armed Forces, located on the campus of Ming Chuan University in Taipei, Taiwan and is operated by the Ministry of National Defense. Its website is currently blocked in the People's Republic of China.
