Montreuil-sur-Mer station

The arrondissement of Montreuil is an arrondissement of France in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region. It has 164 communes. Its population is 112,118 (2016), and its area is 1,327.1 km2 (512.4 sq mi).

The canton of Montreuil is a former canton in the Pas-de-Calais department and the Nord-Pas de Calais region. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation that came into effect in March 2015. It had a total of 22,203 inhabitants (2012).

Montreuil-sur-Mer (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃tʁœj syʁ mɛʁ] ; Picard: Montreu-su-Mér or Montreul-su-Mér; Dutch: Monsterole), Montreuil-on-the-Sea, is a subprefecture in the Pas-de-Calais Department in northern France. It was known as Montreuil until 31 December 2022. It is located on the Canche river, not far from Étaples. The sea, however, is now some distance away. Montreuil-sur-Mer station has rail connections to Arras and Étaples.

The communauté de communes du Montreuillois was created on July 12, 1999, and was located in the Pas-de-Calais département, in northern France. It was created in January 2002. It was merged into the new Communauté d'agglomération des Deux Baies en Montreuillois in January 2017. The Communauté de communes comprised the following communes:

It was created in January 2017 by the merger of the former communautés de communes Montreuillois, Opale Sud and Mer et Terres d'Opale. Its seat is in Montreuil. Its area is 409.1 km2. Its population was 66,119 in 2018.
