Lake Taghkanic State Park

Gallatin is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population at 2020 was 1,628, down from 1,668 at the 2010 census. Gallatin is on the southern border of Columbia County and located 100 miles (160 km) north of New York City.

House at New Forge is a historic home located at New Forge in Columbia County, New York. It was built about 1850 and is a vernacular Greek Revival style residence. It features a two-story, projecting polygonal bay with a hipped roof and a large, deep verandah. Also on the property is a privy. The property includes the full extent of the 18th century industrial, commercial, and residential activities at Maryburgh Forges and the 19th century hamlet of New Forge. Within the property is the site of the 18th century iron forges, the site and foundation of the mid- late-19th century Livingston family manor house, the sites of several former commercial and / or residential buildings, and the site of mid-19th century grist mill, saw mill, and plaster mill.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Snyderville Schoolhouse is a historic one-room school building located at Snyderville in Columbia County, New York. It was built about 1860 and is a small rectangular one-story wood-frame building with clapboard siding and a gable roof. Atop the roof is a small square bell tower. It remained in use as a school until 1942.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

William and Victoria Pulver House is a historic home located at Snyderville in Columbia County, New York. It was built about 1875 and is a two-story, square plan wood-frame building with a hipped roof topped by a square cupola. It has two, one story hipped roof wings. Also on the property is a shed and garage.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Taghkanic () is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The town is in the south-central part of the county. The population was 1,231, at the 2020 US census, down from 1,310 at the 2010 census. "Taghkanic" is an older spelling of "Taconic".

Silvernails is the site of a railroad junction between the former Poughkeepsie and Connecticut Railroad and Rhinebeck and Connecticut Railroad, in Columbia County, New York, United States. It is located in Gallatin, just outside Pine Plains; an old railroad station still stands at the site.

St. John's Lutheran Church is a historic Lutheran church complex located at Ancram in Columbia County, New York. The complex includes the church, parsonage (ca. 1853), 19th century horse sheds, and church hall (ca. 1910). The church was built in 1847 and is a rectangular, heavy timber frame meeting house that received major modifications in 1854, 1886, and 1906. It is sparsely decorated in Greek Revival style. The current bell tower was added in 1886.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Simons General Store is a historic general store located at Ancram in Columbia County, New York. It was built in 1873–74 and is a rectangular shaped three story frame structure. It features a cupola and an elaborate two story piazza. The interior features original furniture and fixtures dating between 1874 and 1895, with electric fixtures dating between 1911 and 1915.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Livingston is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population was 3,628 at the 2020 census. The town is named after its founding father. Livingston is in the southwestern part of Columbia County. U.S. Route 9 passes through the town.

The Melius-Bentley House is a historic home located in the towns of Ancram, Columbia County and Pine Plains, Dutchess County, New York. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 11, 1982, and preserves several rare architectural features. The house is situated on a 24.8-acre (10.0 ha) parcel of wooded land on Mount Ross Road (County Route 50). The lot is divided by the Dutchess–Columbia County border.

Linlithgo Reformed Church of Livingston is a historic Dutch Reformed church at 447 Church Road in Livingston, Columbia County, New York. It was built in 1854 and is a two-story brick building with a medium pitched gable roof, deep bracketed cornice, and semi-engaged tower in the center bay of the front facade in the Italianate style. The adjacent cemetery contains several hundred burials dating from about 1814 to the present. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Camp Sundown is a summer camp for children with xeroderma pigmentosum. All activities are held after sundown, to ensure that the children are not injured by the ultraviolet radiation from the rays of the sun.
