District 2 (German: Stadtbezirk 2) is a borough of Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The district covers an area of 7.15 square kilometres and (as of December 2020) has about 64,000 inhabitants.District 2 is the smallest of all districts in Düsseldorf and next to the central city district 1, it is the only of Düsseldorf's districts to not touch the city limits. Starting clockwise from North-west to South-west, District 2 borders with the following Düsseldorf districts: 1, 6, 7, 8 and 3.

District 3 (German: Stadtbezirk 3) is a central borough of Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and the city's most populous and one of its most diverse districts. Stadtbezirk 3 covers an area of 24.71 square kilometres and (as of December 2020) has about 121,000 inhabitants. The northern quarters in close proximity to district 1 - like Biedermeier era Friedrichstadt and Oberbilk - have flowing transitions towards Stadtmitte, Düsseldorf's central business district. Hafen is in an ongoing urban regeneration of the old port, which creates ever new loft-style office buildings, convention venues, night clubs, trendy bars and restaurants. On the southern end of the district, quarters like Volmerswerth and Flehe still manage to preserve their suburban, small-world character. The district borders with Düsseldorf districts 1 and 4 to the North, districts 2, 8 and 9 to the East and South-east and the river Rhine to the South and West. The Sternwarte Düsseldorf (a.k.a. Sternwarte Bilk, Sternwarte Charlottenruhe; Bilk Observatory or Düsseldorf-Bilk Observatory in English) in Düsseldorf-Bilk was a private observatory founded in 1843 by Johann Friedrich Benzenberg. The observatory's main feature was a refracting telescope with 1800mm focal length. After Benzenberg's death the observatory was bequeathed to the city of Düsseldorf. It was destroyed by bombing in 1943.Between 1852 and 1890, C. Robert Luther discovered 24 asteroids there, from Thetis, discovered on April 17, 1852, to Glauke, discovered February 20, 1890. These asteroids and planetoids are called the 24 Düsseldorf planets. The asteroid 4425 Bilk is named in honour of the observatory.† Near its original location, a benchmark was erected, displaying the observatory's burnt-out telescope.

Friedrichstadt is an urban borough of Düsseldorf. It is in the south of the Central District of Düsseldorf, north of Bilk, west of Oberbilk, and east of Unterbilk. Friedrichstadt was completely planned and constructed in the middle of the 19th century. The construction began in 1854 after it was planned completely in a tesselated paradigm. It was named in honour to King Frederick William IV of Prussia. In the beginning it was a bit swampy, but after a short while it developed well and became a borough mainly for officers and public clerks. Even today in Friedrichstadt many buildings are in the Wilhelminian style. The idea of the Garden City was another concept proved in Friedrichstadt. The garden architect Maximilian Weyhe designed two parks with ponds in Friedrichstadt. In 1880 the Parliament of the Prussian Rhine Province got its seat in the Ständehaus (House of States) in Friedrichstadt. Until the year 1988 the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia was in the Ständehaus. Actually an Arts museum is in that building. Düsseldorf Völklinger Straße station is a through station in the district of Unterbilk in the city of Düsseldorf in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened on 29 May 1988 on the new line opened by the Prussian state railways on 1 October 1891 between the Hamm Railway Bridge and Gerresheim as part of the construction of Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. It has two platform tracks and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.The station is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn lines S 8 between Mönchengladbach and Wuppertal-Oberbarmen or Hagen, S 11 between Düsseldorf Airport and Bergisch Gladbach and S 28 between Mettmann Stadtwald or Wuppertal and Kaarster See, each every 20 minutes.It is also served by one tram line, operated by Rheinbahn at 10-minute intervals: 709. It is served by bus route 726 operated by Rheinbahn at 30-minute intervals.
