Ringwood Manor

Ringwood State Park is a 4,444 acres (17.98 km2) state park in Passaic County in northeastern New Jersey, USA. The Park is located in the heart of the Ramapo Mountains in Ringwood. Its forests are part of the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion.It contains the New Jersey Botanical Garden at Skylands (includes Skylands Manor), the historic Ringwood Manor and the Shepherd Lake Recreation Area. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.

Blue Lake, also called Sterling Forest Lake, is a lake located in Sterling Forest State Park, New York. As of 2018, the Blue Lake Reservoir System, operated by SUEZ North America (formerly United Water), supplies drinking water from Blue Lake to about 1,200 people.

Hickory Mountain is a mountain in Passaic County, New Jersey. The peak rises to 502 feet (153 m). It is part of the Ramapo Mountains.

Skylands is a 1,119-acre (4.53 km2) estate property located in Ringwood State Park in Ringwood, New Jersey, a borough in Passaic County in the state of New Jersey. The Skylands property consists of the historic Skylands Manor mansion, The Castle at Skylands Manor and the New Jersey Botanical Garden; the botanical garden is 96 acres (390,000 m2) and it is open to the public year-round. The Skylands property is within the Ramapo Mountains and it is maintained by the Skyland Association. The property is marketed with the garden as New Jersey State Botanical Garden at Skylands. The house and gardens, including formal gardens and specimen plantings, were built in the 1920s by Clarence MacKenzie Lewis, a New York City stockbroker and civil engineer. Lewis hired architect John Russell Pope to design the 44-room Tudor revival manor house. The manor is a reproduction English mansion featuring rectangular, bay and oriel windows. A nine-hole golf course once graced this property. The estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 28, 1990, for its significance in architecture and landscape architecture.

The Tuxedo Club is a private member-owned country club located on West Lake Road in the village of Tuxedo Park, New York, in the Ramapo Mountains. Founded in 1886 by Pierre Lorillard IV, its facilities now include an 18-hole golf course, lawn tennis, court tennis, racquets, squash, platform tennis, olympic-sized pool, and boating. The tuxedo was first introduced to America by New York millionaire James Potter at the club's first Autumn ball in 1886, after a trip to England.

St. Elizabeth's Memorial Chapel is an Anglican chapel located in the hamlet of Eagle Valley in Tuxedo, New York. Originally built as a chapel and final resting place for members of the Hamilton family, the chapel and the associated parish is notable for being at one time the only privately owned and administered Episcopal church in the New York Diocese.The parish is currently affiliated with the Diocese of the Northeast of the Anglican Church in America (ACA), itself a member of the Traditional Anglican Communion. St. Elizabeth's has been the home parish of The Right Reverend George D. Langberg since 1986; Langberg is also a retired Bishop Ordinary for the Diocese of the Northeast and the Tuxedo town historian. Reverend Langberg's consecration as suffragan bishop took place at St. Elizabeth's in 1998.

The Ringwood Public School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Ringwood in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2017-18 school year, the district and its four schools had an enrollment of 1,176 students and 102.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend Lakeland Regional High School in Wanaque, which serves students from the Boroughs of Ringwood and Wanaque. As of the 2017-18 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 911 students and 87.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.4:1.

Mount Defiance is a mountain in Ringwood State Park in Passaic County, New Jersey. The peak rises to 1,040 feet (317 m). It is part of the Ramapo Mountains.

Tranquility Ridge Park is a 2,062 acre Watershed Protection Area that spans the border of Ringwood and West Milford, New Jersey, United States, and is directly south of the New Jersey-New York State Line. Tranquility Ridge Park is directly adjacent to Sterling Forest State Park in NY, and Long Pond Ironworks State Park in NJ. The area was once part of Long Pond Ironworks, which was developed as an ironworks "plantation" by Peter Hasenclever in 1766, and produced iron for American forces during the American Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the American Civil War. Tranquility Park is managed by Passaic County, and includes a network of trails that connects people to adjacent open space tracts. Among these is the Hasenclever Iron Trail, which connects Ringwood Borough with Greenwood Pond via a historic road that was developed to connect the operations of the Long Pond Ironworks.With regard to parking and transportation, off-street parking is provided in a nearby parking lot, which is located off Beech Road in West Milford Township at the Highlands Rowing Center. Additionally the site may be accessed by NJ Transit Bus Route 197.

Ringwood is a borough in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 12,228, reflecting a decrease of 168 (-1.4%) from the 12,396 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 227 (-1.8%) from the 12,623 counted in the 1990 Census.It is the home of Ringwood State Park which contains the New Jersey Botanical Garden at Skylands (plus Skylands Manor), the Shepherd Lake Recreation Area and historic Ringwood Manor. The Borough of Ringwood was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 23, 1918, from a "portion of the Township of Pompton", as one of three boroughs formed from Pompton Township, joining Bloomingdale and Wanaque, based on the results of a referendum held on March 22, 1918. The first organizational meeting of the Borough Council took place in the existing Borough Hall on May 6, 1918. The borough was named for an iron mining company in the area.

Bellot Mountain is a mountain in Passaic County, New Jersey. The peak rises to 745 feet (227 m), and overlooks Wanaque Reservoir to the west. It is part of the Ramapo Mountains.
