Gillette Ridge Golf Club is a public golf course located in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Located on the Cigna headquarters campus (formerly known as Connecticut General Life Insurance), it is the only public Arnold Palmer designed course in the Northeast. Cigna Insurance currently owns the property and has Arnold Palmer Golf Management running the daily operations.The club is named after Francis Gillette.

The Francis Gillette House is a historic house at 545 Bloomfield Ave. in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Built in 1833, it is locally unusual as a stone house, but is most significant for its association with Francis Gillette, one of the state's leading abolitionists in the years before the American Civil War. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

New England Jewish Academy is a private Jewish PK-12 school in West Hartford, Connecticut, United States. The school was created by members of the New Haven, Springfield, and Hartford communities, and its students hail from communities throughout central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. The school is affiliated with the Modern Orthodox denomination but caters to a wide variety of Jewish backgrounds and religious affiliations. From its opening in September 1996 until December 2010, the school was housed in the basement of the Agudas Achim Synagogue in West Hartford. In January 2011, the school moved into a newly constructed facility, located on Bloomfield Avenue in West Hartford across from the Zachs Campus and Mandell JCC.

On June 6, 2022, the U.S. Census Bureau formally recognized Connecticut's nine councils of governments as county equivalents instead of the state's eight counties. Connecticut's county governments were disbanded in 1960, and the councils of governments took over some of the local governmental functions. Connecticut's eight historical counties continue to exist in name only, and are no longer considered for statistical purposes.

Northwest Catholic High School (NWC) is a private, Roman Catholic, co-educational high school in West Hartford, Connecticut, United States. It was established in 1961 and is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hartford.

Wampanoag Country Club is a country club in West Hartford, Connecticut. The club was created in the early 1920s by the famed golf course architect Donald Ross. His design was considered "one of his masterpieces" and the club hosted the Connecticut Open, PGA Tour-level event, shortly after its creation. In the 1950s, "a new era" was inaugurated when new clubhouse was created. The club has continued to host significant tournaments through the 21st century, including the Connecticut Amateur and the Connecticut Women's Open.

William H. Hall High School, also known as Hall High, is a four-year public high school located in West Hartford, in the U.S. state of Connecticut. Opened in 1924, it was named after William Henry Hall, who was a teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in West Hartford. The school colors are blue and white, and the school’s mascot is the Titans, formerly the Warriors, after the Board Of Education vote to change it on February 1, 2022. It is one of two public high schools in the West Hartford Public Schools, the other being Conard High School.

King Philip Middle School is a middle school in the town of West Hartford, Connecticut. It is one of the West Hartford Public Schools as well as one of three public middle schools in the town of West Hartford. The school is beginning to move some homework and study related activities online by using Google Classroom along with related Google products, and by using PowerSchool, an online portal for grades and attendance.

The Southwest District School is a historic school building at 430 Simsbury Road in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Built in 1858, it is one of the town's few surviving 19th-century district school buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

847 North Main Street in West Hartford, Connecticut, is one of the town's few surviving 18th-century houses. Dating to the mid-18th century, it is a well-preserved example of vernacular Georgian architecture, with a modest entrance surround. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 10, 1986.
