Irqah Hospital (Arabic: مستشفى عرقة), also at times Ergah Hospital is a now-defunct and abandoned health care facility in the Irqah neighborhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Completed in 1987 as a private medical facility, it housed a number of Kuwaiti families fleeing the Iraqi invasion of their country in 1990 and later on treated combatants during the Gulf War. It was reopened in 1993 when it was rehabilitated as a hospital and functioned for nearly 8 years prior to ceasing operations around 2001. It is considered to be one of the most haunted sites in Riyadh where several incidents of unusual paranormal activities have been reported by residents living in its vicinity.

Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City (Arabic: مدينة محمد بن سلمان غير الربحية), is a 840-acre planned real estate development in the Irqah neighborhood of northwestern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located in close proximity to the Wadi Hanifa. Unveiled in November 2021 by the MiSK Foundation, it is named after Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman and is slated to be the world's first 'non-profit city'. It will include academic institutions, a conference center, a science museum, a creative center and art gallery and an integrated residential complex.

Tuwaiq Palace or Towaiq Palace is a building in the Diplomatic Quarter district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which hosts government functions, state receptions, and cultural festivals that introduce Saudi arts and customs to the international community. Named after the nearby Tuwaiq mountain, it was built in 1985 by OHO Joint Venture, a team composed of Frei Otto, Buro Happold, and Omrania. Tuwaiq Palace won the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the design in 1998.

The Diplomatic Quarter (DQ) (Arabic: حي السفارات, romanized: Hayy as-Safarat, lit. 'embassies neighborhood'), also known by its Arabic name as-Safarat, is a diplomatic enclave and an affluent residential district in northwestern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, situated in close proximity to Irqah. Established in 1978, it covers an area of 800 hectares and hosts most of the foreign embassies and some of the government departments in the city besides being a popular tourist attraction. It was administered as part of the Irqah Sub-Municipality until 2018 when the district's responsibility was placed under the newly created Diplomatic Quarter General Authority (DQGA). In 2021, the authority was dissolved and subsequently Diplomatic Quarter became an independent neighbourhood.

The Hayy Assafarat Grand Mosque (Arabic: جامع حي السفارات, lit. 'embassies neighborhood mosque'), also known as the Al-Kindy Square Mosque, is a Sunni Islam Friday mosque, located in the Diplomatic Quarter district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With a prayer hall of almost 5,830 square metres (62,800 sq ft), the mosque can accommodate almost 5,000 worshippers. It was built between 1983 and 1986 during the development of the Al Kindi Plaza, where it stands and is an engaging feature.

Al-Kindi Plaza (Arabic: ساحة الكندي, lit. 'Al-Kindi Square'), or Al-Kindi Square, is a multipurpose market square in Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located next to the Cultural Palace. Completed in 1986, it is named after the 9th century Arab philosopher and polymath Abu Yusuf al-Kindi. It includes a congregational mosque, library, garden, courtyard and the offices of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and the MiSK Foundation.

Measurement is derived from the verb 'to measure' which means to assess something; in Arabic 'yaqees' 'measure' has the meaning of comparing something to something else. In this sense, measurement is a daily practice that manifests itself in all our assessment activities, whether we assess concrete things in terms of size and color, or abstract things such as human relations. The ultimate goal of 'measuring' something is to assess ourselves in comparison to everything else in the world. Measurement can never be done without well-recognized and approved criteria. We use the 'meter', for example, as the measuring unit for distance and use 'gram' unit for weight and 'hour' unit for time and so on. Scientifically speaking, there have been numerous definitions of 'measurement' that vary depending on the measured object and the set criteria, goals and controls of measurement. Measurement varies based on: evaluating things in quantitative terms and in a graded manner based on the well-known rule that everything exists in quantities and every quantity is measurable. representing properties in numerical terms based on certain rules. measuring some mental processes and psychological traits via a group of stimuli especially set to do quantitative and qualitative evaluation.Assessment simply means to evaluate something, and in scientific terms it refers to the process of passing judgment to evaluate capacity, knowledge, actions, solutions, methods, materials, etc. This is often done by applying certain criteria and standards to check adequacy, accuracy and effectiveness. In other words, evaluation means to give something a value based on approved standards. In the educational field, assessment refers to testing students' achievement and how far is obtained relative to some known educational objectives or goals. Measurement and assessment are so related and integrated.

The Canadian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in Riyadh is the official representative of the Government of Canada in Ottawa to the Government of Saudi Arabia. He is also concurrently accredited to the government in Muscat (Oman).

The siege of Diriyah took place in late 1818 at the end of the Wahhabi War of 1811–1818 during the Nejd Expedition.

Diriyah (Arabic: الدِرْعِيّة), formerly romanized as Dereyeh and Dariyya, is a town and governorate in Saudi Arabia located on the north-western outskirts of the Saudi capital, Riyadh. Diriyah was the original home of the Saudi royal family, and served as the capital of the Emirate of Diriyah under the first Saudi dynasty from 1727 to 1818. Today, the town is the seat of the Diriyah Governorate, which also includes the villages of Uyayna, Jubayla, and Al-Ammariyyah, among others, and is part of Ar Riyad Province. The Turaif district, the first capital of Saudis in Diriyah, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. The layout of the city itself can be easily studied in the National Museum of Saudi Arabia with the help of a large-scale detailed model of the city on display there. Diriyah also hosts the Diriyah ePrix race for the Formula E championship.
