Glen Urquhart High School is a six-year comprehensive secondary school situated in Drumnadrochit. The school's primary catchment area ranges from Abriachan in the north to Invermoriston in the south, and as far west as Cannich and Tomich. Its associated Primary schools are Glenurquhart, Balnain and Cannich Bridge.

Lewiston is a small linear village, situated less than 1 mile southeast of Drumnadrochit, in Inverness-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland.

Milton (Scottish Gaelic: Baile a' Mhuilinn) is a village in Glenurquhart, to the west of the village of Drumnadrochit, in the Highland council area of Scotland. It lies on the north side of the River Enrick, next to the A831 road.

Drumnadrochit (; Scottish Gaelic: Druim na Drochaid) is a village in the Highland local government council area of Scotland, lying near the west shore of Loch Ness at the foot of Glen Urquhart. The village is close to several neighbouring settlements: the villages of Milton to the west, Kilmore to the east and Lewiston to the south. The villages act as a centre for regional tourism beside Loch Ness, as well as being a local economic hub for the nearby communities.

Achnahannet (Scottish Gaelic: Achadh na h-Annaid) is a small hamlet and farm estate located near the northwest shore of Loch Ness in Invernesshire, Highland, Scotland. It lies south of Drumnadrochit along the A82 road, just southwest of Lenie and Urquhart Castle.

Lenie (Scottish Gaelic: Lèanaidh) is a small hamlet consisting of Lower Lenie and Upper Lenie, situated on the northwestern shore of Loch Ness in Inverness-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Highland council area of Scotland.Urquhart Castle, which sits on Strone Point, lies 2 km north east along the A82 road. Achnahannet lies just to the southwest.

Stob Garbh is a mountain in the Scottish Highlands, part of the Grampian Mountains. It is a Munro top located in the Breadalbane area of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The mountain is 957.7m (3142 ft) high. It is the 439th highest peak in the British Isles and the 419th tallest in Scotland. It has a cairn located at the peak, and is closest to the town of Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire.

Dove Springs, nicknamed the "44" after the area ZIP Codes, is a neighborhood in Austin, Texas.Sam Ramos of the Austin Chronicle stated that the unofficial boundaries of Dove Springs are William Cannon, Ben White, an area east of Dove Springs District Park, and Interstate 35. It is 6 miles (9.7 km) from Downtown Austin.In 2014 Joy Diaz of KUT stated that the community "had a less than desirable reputation" for a period of several decades and that it "is also one of the poorest parts of Austin."

The River Enrick is a river in the Highland region of Scotland. It flows for around 22 km, in a generally northerly and then easterly direction. It rises near Loch na Stac at an elevation of about 490 metres, and falls rapidly until it reaches the floor of Glen Urquhart at elevation about 120 metres. From that point the A831 road closely follows its course. It flows through Loch Meiklie, near Balnain. It then flows through Drumnadrochit and merges with the River Coiltie about 100 metres before flowing into Urquhart Bay, part of Loch Ness.

The Boleskine House (Scottish Gaelic: Taigh Both Fhleisginn) is a manor on the south-east side of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It is notable for having been the home of author and occultist Aleister Crowley, and Led Zeppelin guitarist and producer Jimmy Page. It suffered significant fire damage in December 2015 and again in July 2019. The house is now being restored and construction work has started as of December 2019. The Boleskine House Foundation SCIO took over ownership of one part of the estate in 2019 in order to manage restoration efforts on the house.

Inverfarigaig (Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Farragaig) is a hamlet at the mouth of the River Farigaig, on the south-east shore of Loch Ness in Inverness-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland.
